My visit to the Gloucester Old Spot pub for a Sunday roast was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful meal.
The roast dinner itself was a masterpiece. The meat was tender and succulent, and the selection of vegetables accompanying it were not only flavorsome but also cooked to perfection. The real star of the meal, though, was the broccoli and cauliflower cheese – it was a taste sensation that I won't soon forget. The perfect combination of creamy cheese and perfectly cooked vegetables made it an absolute standout.
And then there was dessert. The dark chocolate and biscoff brownie was a revelation. Rich, indulgent, and expertly crafted, it easily ranks as one of the best desserts I've had all year. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more.
I must commend the staff, particularly Ellie, who was our waitress. She was an absolute credit to the team, providing friendly and attentive service that made our dining experience truly special. Amy also contributed to the wonderful atmosphere and ensured that every aspect of our meal was perfect.
The overall ambience of the Gloucester Old Spot pub was delightful. The cozy and inviting surroundings added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. It's the kind of place where you can relax, savor your food, and have great conversations with friends or family.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this establishment for their Sunday roast, and I'm already looking forward to returning to sample more of the culinary delights on their menu. This dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I can't speak highly enough about it. It's a gem that deserves to be discovered and savored by all food enthusiasts. 🍽️🌟

Found this very colourful pub by accident. Clearly it's been redecorated outside recently in a lovely Teal blue, but inside is large, comfortable and the friendly welcome persuaded us to not only have a drink, but a light lunch too. For under £10 we ate beef brisket, Welsh rarebit and bacon jam toasties on thick Ciabatta bread with fries. Incredibly moreish. They do Sunday roasts and Saturday breakfast so we will be returning!

Really nice Pub with a huge terrasse. When it is sunny, it is just amazing.
Big tables are available for big group.
Roast dinner is really tasty, lot of gravy sauce and quickly served. Much appreciated
The staff is just amazing, smiley and taking good care about their clients
Lot of coqtails with reasonable price.
Better to book on Sunday as it is quite busy

The old spot helped us to host a corporate event for 25 people. The buffet was fantastic and the staff were so accommodating and lovely. Such a lovely pub with a lovely vibe.

More a restaurant than pub, I think, ideal for large groups of family and friends.
The food is fine from a sensible menu. On fine days the marque provides much needed additional space.
What make this eatery special is the super young staff. What a breath of fresh air to be served by personable cheerful and willing young service staff. Charming!
I enjoyed my time here and saw lots of happy people. Well worth a try.

We visited the Gloucester Old Spot on Friday lunchtime with our two little dogs. We sat outside in the garden which was large and very clean and tidy. The food was lovely and the staff were outstanding! Matt was particularly helpful. We will definitely go back.

Nice pub with a great atmosphere. Worked well for a 50th birthday party. Staff very friendly too. We also ate at the pub and the burger was positively average unfortunately. But overall, I'd definitely visit again and it must be lovely in the summer in the outdoor area.

The chicken wings were super tasty, and the portion size was good. The beef burger was delicious and came with lots of extras in the burger and was very filling. The garden outside is big and a nice spot in the sun, would definitely recommend.

Very good food at a decent price, attentive service and a good range of beers. Pub is clean and bright but doesn't feel modern. Decent garden area too.

Went there for a Sunday lunch.
We were the first in so atmosphere was dead (that was pur fault for being so early not the pubs) been here for drinks before and then in the garden it's a great vibe.
The roast dinner was on point! I eent for the big one with all the meats ....Plenty of food and it was all cooked great, no cutting corners which you could tell. I'd be bold enough to say that it's up there with some of the best in Bristol.
My downfall was it was cold, this really felt like a blow and such a shame. I have however been back since and the had redeemed them selves.
Would I reccomend ? yes
Would I go back? yes

Family and dog friendly pub. I have been here several times and never had a problem. It has a great enclosed garden which is sun trap. Just perfect for some food and drink.

Fairly good Sunday roast. The chicken supreme was very good, the pork I think ok.
