Have to say we went for a meal today and what a meal we got, food not only quality but cooked to perfection, staff very helpful and service spot on, personally the chefs stole the show we had Calamari/Scallops followed by sea bass fillets (2 of them). And genuinely I don't eat fish skin (makes me heave) but the sea bass was crispy and I cleared the plate. Whatever you do KEEP THE CHEFS, they will earn you the reputation you deserve. Thank you everyone.

Simply excellent, had a wonderful meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. The lasagna was the best I have eaten in a long time.
It was busy but the staff were excellent. Highly recommended.

OK.
Where to start.
Pre-dinner drinks out on the terrace, overlooking the dock was very nice.
(sorry. Didn't get the name of our 'barman' who was brilliant)
Atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Not quiet, but you really don't want that in a full restaurant where people are enjoying thrmselves.
The table service (sure our guy was George) was second to none.
Efficient but with a bit of fun (probably because - I think - he was Irish! 😂)
The menu was great. The wine list extensive.
(a combination as it should be!)
We had the Antipasti to share as a starter.
Brilliant.
Cannot fault.
Followed by the Squid ink risotto with scallops, and the Scallop ravioli.
Both were truly amazing.
Primitivo to accompany (one of the best, we've had).
No room for dessert!
Cannot, Cannot, recommend this restaurant enough.
Thanks for a great meal.

We stopped here for a drink outside. The staff were very busy and struggled i think with service outside so i went to the bar and got served straight away which was good. The drinks were lovely.
I would have liked to go back for dinner but didn't get round to it. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for somewhere nice for a drink or evening dining.

Vibey Italian restaurant located down by The Docks! 🇮🇹
The food here’s amazing! The menu is super varied from traditional Italian dishes to Steak experiences! 🍝
Staff were friendly and attentive, although drinks did take a while, but likely due to them being so busy! 🍸

We went on a Sunday, with no booking. The restaurant was very busy. We were told politely we would have to wait 30 minutes for a table but we didn’t mind. We were asked to wait in the bar. Service was very good and welcoming. We had the Gusto sharing roast.

I met a few waiters who recommended the lasagna .I wasn't disappointed. The wife also said it was the best lasagne she had ever tasted .Returned the following for my wife's 60th meal and staff arranged a wee cake for her birthday. Waiting staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough .I could easily eat here every night of the week

A timeless restaurant with classic and flavorful italian dishes. Great for date nights with a beautiful view of the historic Albert Dock.

Very busy restaurant we waited 45 mins for a table as we were keen to eat here. Sat and had a drink while waiting which was really nice. The food was ok definitely not the best pizza or pasta I’ve had.

If you are vegan you MUST try their vegan steak. Unbelievable, on so many levels. Unbelievable!

What a fantastic 'spur of the moment' find! A pristine interior, such a warm welcome by Besim and team and a group of chefs with beaming smiles, who you could hear cheerfully preparing everyone's lunch.
A great choice of delicious dishes that were promptly served by very professional and attentive staff.
This is definitely now my 'go to' restaurant whenever I come to Liverpool!
Thanks, guys!

As always a fantastic meal at a lovely and classic restaurant. Very popular and a beautiful setting in the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool. The service is always impeccable and the staff very friendly and attentive. Ideal for small groups, families, larger parties, or an intimate meal for two. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great service, great food and great staff.. Some restaurants in the Dock, when busy can struggle and service can be not the most welcoming..but the staff at Gusto, made every effort to cater for us, last minute on a very busy River of Light Festival evening. They made us feel welcome and wanted from the moment we walked in...warm, curteous , and well organised team of staff..
Then when a glass smashed near us the staff upped their professionalism even further..
Then great service. Food excellent and exactly when we wanted it..
If I could give 6 stars(out of 5) I would. For the whole experience. Thank you Team Gusto..

Excellent Sunday meal for my mum's 70th birthday, staff hospitality and service was exceptional especially Danny, Besim and a lady called Rachael and the best part was staff singing happy birthday to her.
Definitely recommend Gusto to anyone for a meal and drinks

We greeted and seated immediately. Luke took excellent care of us immediately. Our lunch was outstanding. We would like to return to this restaurant on a future trip. I has a great location near the ocean.

Absolutely amazed with everything in this restaurant, walking it the atmosphere was lovely, the decor was very pretty and well kept. Restaurant was very busy when we went but it was still very tidy.
Service wise, everything was spot on, speed was amazing between ordering and getting our meals there wasn't a moment I was wondering where the food was. My server Hayley was extremely friendly as well.
Food wise, everything was absolutely delicious, nice and hot, flavours were amazing in every dish.
I enjoyed every second of my visit to this restaurant, and was even more happy with the value for money, sure its a little on the high end but what you receive is very much worth it. There is the 12.5% service charge here but I would have happily paid an additional charge that would go to just my server

Lovely evening celebrating at gusto tonight. The food, drinks and service was perfect

When to Gusto's on Saturday 24/02/2018,and i have to say what a great place it is.upon arrival, without any delay we were shown to our table and almost straight away we had been offerd drinks. In no time at all the waiter was taking our order and we were eating our meal very soon afterwards, now considering the restaurant was very busy at the time,7.30 pm we found this service wonderful.the food was delicious and the waiting staff were excellent.we would most certainly reccomend this restaurant to local people and to visitors to the city.

My wife and I visited Gusto on the Saturday of the Grand National and a big football match (we’re Americans, so I can’t tell you who played aside from Liverpool). Obviously, it was crowded but our server came promptly and we ordered two glasses of wine, two starters, and a pizza to share. The bruschetta starter was good, not great, and the garlic mushrooms were outstanding. The pizza arrived and was cooked perfectly. I am always a bit wary of restaurants when the are crowded, but our experience was wholly positive. Our waitress was very sweet and smiling the whole way through.

We came here from Bolton for my birthday meal last night with reading previous positive reviews we were all looking forward to it! But what a disappointment it was.. not one of us enjoyed our food.. it was plain and bland.. the tiger prawns were just normal prawns in a bland sauce, my partners pasta arabiatta was very very spicy and again no flavour atall! Our bruschetta and my friends salad was dry with no balsamic glaze on it, and my other friends crab pasta dish was dry with no flavour. Overall we was all very disappointed with the tasteless food and experience. Nothing like We expected.

Excellent Customer Service, Top Notch food to die for, would recommend to anybody wanting a top restaurant in Liverpool.

A large group of us went for brunch yesterday.
Menu was amazing, food delish & the service absolute perfection.
The location & ambience of the restaurant alone is beautiful, but add to that all of the above, it is the best way to start a Sunday.
The only problem we encountered was getting every one out, as sitting outside, with a gorgeous cocktail spoilt us for everywhere else.
Well done guys, we will definitely be back

Visited Gustos as a treat for my husband's birthday (we travelled from the north east). I agonised over whether to go to Gusto or Matou which we also love. I'm pleased to report I chose Gusto to enjoy the birthday celebrations. Food second to none and service and staff attentiveness is up there with the very best we have had. Slight mix up with the meal, but no major deal so we were pleasantly surprised when one of the managers came over to apologise in person and gave us a bottle of rose on the house. Great ambience and buzz about the place and the staff really do seem to go above and beyond. We will be back whenever we visit Liverpool

Great food and extremely attentive staff without being too ‘in your face’ - lots of staff on and we felt well looked after from start to finish and hope to visit again next time we come to liverpool

Shame that their is a new chef, I can tell the starters we're prefect as a party of 8 we all concurred, however mains we all concurred that my pork was too dry and the 3 lasagne were too over cooked the pasta sheets were dry and too cooked on the edges.
Totally a shame, this was for a birthday, the staff were spot on table checks done and all to Gusto standards shame that the food is lacking.....
And in a heat wave, clearly not heard of renting air conditioning units for a listed building.
Stacey Hartley
Thank you for our amazing brunch ! I won the Facebook competition and brought my husband and mum. Food was so good. Service was great. Would 100% go back for the brunch it was fabulous. Thank you again !!

Used to really love this place, with its lovely atmosphere, cocktails and food. Decided to take my family today and I'm quite embarrassed by what they've had to experience. Had to wait over an hour for some simple nibble sharers, like olives, houmous and bread. Then half an hour for drinks during a heatwave. Oh and now we are waiting an age for our bill! Won't be coming back. RIP GUSTO!

A buzzing, smart but informal waterfront Italian dining hall in the beautifully restored Albert Dock. Could have been in London. A limited but perfectly adequate selection of pizza, pasta, steaks and meats/fish. Enough veggie options too. Perfect for date night, couples night or just a family outing. Child-friendly too.

Excellent, good food, knowledge staff who are happy to help with all selections, great service and very reasonable prices. Good selection of wine and cocktails with house specials well worth trying.

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere in a great location. I ate off a set menu, which I found to be quite limited, but when it came the food was lovely.
John Flaherty
Great food well presented and very tasty. Kitchen staff exemplary. Front of restaurant staff and waitress too busy chatting about new shoes. Customer should be first. Always.
Julie Erskine
Lovely restaurant, venue and atmosphere. Great food, wine and especially service.

Approaching the end of our mission to track down Liverpool’s Best Burger, we wondered whether decadent, atmospheric Gusto could churn out an equally decadent burger...
