We had the six course tasting menu. It lived up to its expectations of Indian food with modern presentation that clean and controlled. My fav was the crab and lamb chop. What I liked was the restaurant truly Indian staff vs. from greater South Asia (nothing against anyone, just adds to the authenticity of the place). Deepak was the restaurant manager at our time. Great service!

Came here upon the recommendation of a colleague that works nearby.
The place looks absolutely stunning from the moment the curtain opens. The lavish decor helps set mood for what is going to be a delectable meal.
The waiters are very helpful and will help guide you through the menu with relative ease. We came while the early bird special was still being offered (I believe before 630pm) and this provided us with the best value as we could sample everything on the menu with 3 people.
The food was phenomenal, hands down some of the best Indian food I've had outside of India. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and family visiting London.

Unquestionably delicious food, but sadly they seemed more interested in fulfilling their Just Eat etc orders than dealing with their seated customers. We counted 20+ orders go out as we waited 50 minutes for our mains.
Such a shame as if they'd nailed the service it would have been a great night.

Exceeded expectations, every dish was packed with flavour and extremely well-executed - the chicken tikka for example melted in the mouth.
The lunchtime/early evening tasting menu is great value, and was more than enough to satisfy this very hungry diner.
Highlights were the starters and tandoori dishes (especially the stone bass), but the curries were also very good. Didn't think I could manage a dessert, but they forced a complementary one on me anyway as it was my birthday, which was a fantastic touch (and absolutely delicious).
The cocktails are well worth delving into, even the virgin ones were great.

Had a fantastic experience for my birthday the staff and manager where extremely attentive. The manager helped with food allergies and made sure we were all catered for. Was given a beautiful complimentary sweet plate for my birthday. Soft shell crab to start was so tasty. Malvani prawn curry for main was sublime! Mango rasmalai for dessert was amazing. Malabar potatoes are to die for! The whole evening was fantastic start to finish, we loved every minute. Felt like a VIP all night. We will definitely be back! The atmosphere, music and decor are all top notch! We couldn't fault a single thing. Thanks to all the staff who served us for incredible service. And compliments to the chefs who created the best food we've ever had!

Sweet touch on picking up my note that I had left with my reservation and arranging a complementary cake / dessert for my Mum - since we were there to celebrate Mothering Sunday! She was overjoyed. Mateo and the Indian gentlemen (should’ve asked his name - my bad!) who served us all evening were just so amiable and hospitable. Lovely experience. And the food - well it was incredibly delicious! An evening well spent! Cheers, Jamavar team. Surely making another reservation very soon!

I came here for dinner with a friend, it was an underwhelming experience. Food is nice but not worth the price and not what I was expecting from a restaurant of this calibre, I have had butter chickens and biryanis in plenty of places that tasted the same or better for much cheaper. What was also odd was the staff member who seated us pulled out my friends seat but not mine, he also opened up her menu for her but just handed me mine without opening it. I am not fussed about having my menu opened or seat pulled out for me, but I do not understand the different treatment of guests who are seated at the same table. All the other staff were friendly, and service was quick and good.

This rating is not for the food. We all think food was excellent and no doubts, recommended. The star is for the service. As soon as the menus were given, wanted to take order. No drinks order and we did get a bottle of wine but did not get the 2nd one (see later). Food arrived timely and delicious. As soon as were done with the mains, I was the host, I excused myself to go to the restroom and when I returned - my guests were given the bill!! That is very embarrassing and unprofessional conduct. We are not given option for desserts, which we did order and again delicious (see photos). Was going to order another bottle of wine when the server without us asking him brought the bill and said “we need the table” when there was no crowd outside (11pm) and 3 other tables were empty! Need serious staff training in catering!! Not a way to treat customers.

Did not meet expectations - clearly far away from being a Michelin-star candidate. Can not match up with other top Indian restaurants in London. Of the 5 dishes we tried only 1 was exciting. Rest was average. Not worth the money.

The staff are friendly, welcoming and hardworking however they are let down by a very average kitchen. Visited because of all the positive reviews and I didn't find a good reason to be convinced of their high rating. The food quality and taste were mediocre. Portions were small. The prices were extremely high too. Apart from the staff a bit of a disappointment.
Quiet Eating
In a change from my usual weekend plans, I had been booked for some bouldering later in the afternoon. I was not familiar with that particular pasttime but was to soon find out that it involves people climbing, without ropes, on a variety of man made climbing walls. For safety, the walls are of limited height, so as to prevent rather graceless plummets from becoming lethal falls. A good thing for me as I would usually eat far too much for lunch. Makes maintaining balance and wall hugging antics slightly difficult. As I was tempted to tell my fellow climbers, this is the tough life of an amateur (and often uninvited) food critic. Wishing to give as accurate a review as possible, I try to often eat as much of the menu as possible, and sometimes too much. Ahh, the trials I go through in the name of objectivity.

Wonderful atmosphere. The place is small but neat. Started with a sholay feeling nostalgic. Thereafter the Chandini chowk tiki and the Shammi kabab. The main course consisted of the sumptuous biryani and the laal maas and the ubiquitous butter chicken. The food was great
