We had an amazing dinner! From the service to the atmosphere to the excellent food. Very delightful and I highly recommend the experience of having dinner or a beverage. Our waiter did an amazing job and was very attentive! The beef shoulder was excellent!

Beautiful architecture of a excellently restored period building. Nice and open inside too. One of the best wetherspoon at least in London for it's uniqueness there.
Unfortunately not much of a real ale selection when we went one guest ale was on which wasn't the best quality wise and another was being put on as we left.
Food is above average for wetherspoon though, especially for the Pizza and pigs in blankets.
Still worth a visit if in the area going around the pubs, even just for the location it's self.

It is excellent pub, one of my favourites Wetherspoons. I've been there twice, the first time inthe evening the pub was very busy but still staff were very friendly, food good, beer cold. My second time, last Saturday morning I had the pub neatly on my one. Staff, food, prices and beer deserved 5 stars. And toilets! Incredible size and beautiful decorated.

Very big Wetherspoons in Legal London. Old banking building. Your usual 'Spoons food, ambience and low prices. The building in wonderful, and we found the service excellent.

Superb interior in the heart of the city. Run by Weatherspoon’s, so excellent prices. Quiet on the weekend which is nice. The bathrooms are amazing very detailed.

After a couple of years of abstinence owing to COVID, our group of seven friends from our old school days met up again here for a Saturday afternoon/evening of reminiscing, watching 6 Nations rugby and drinking far too much beer. We like this place as it is big, friendly and has a certain atmosphere having previously been the Union Bank. As you probably already know this pub takes its name from the order of Warrior Knights across whose land Chancery Lane was built in the 12th century. It is named after an ancient order of Warrior Monks – The Knights Templar which features heavily in The Da Vinci Code.
Having arrived well in time for the first of the two games that day we had our choice of places to sit close to what appeared to be smaller TV screen than we remember from previous years. The drinking then started. As they had already run out of the IPA we had to settle on the Cornish Doon Bar beer which was OK. We got through quite a few pints so feel qualified to give an opinion... Oh, and we can confirm that the restrooms, down in the basement are also in order. Clean and well presented. We were all there often enough as the beer filtered through...
Some of us also ordered the food which also came with extra pints. As the afternoon wore on the place slowly began to fill up and I was surprised how full it was when we left early that evening.

This is a really beautiful pub and, while we were there, it was playing really decent house music. Unfortunately for us the kitchen had closed at 8:30 PM, so we couldn't eat. The day before, google showed it being open on a Sunday, as did Open Table. We went, only to discover the opposite was true. In any case, we returned on a quiet Monday, and could only assume that the food would be good, since the atmosphere was excellent, including the lighting, and the wine selection was very good. We both had some great wine, and the price was acceptable! Will return and recommend, for sure.

Fantastically decorated room with ornate pillars stretching up to the ceiling, stone font shaped tables a balcony with seating area looking down on the large main room. An extensive bar area with glass backed wall then its down a large wooden staircase to the best toilets I have ever see in a pub. Staff were very good to boot and the food turned up freshly cooked and pipping hot, well worth a visit just to explore a building

The best, most fanciest wetherspoons I've been to. The ambience and decor is impressive, with loads of paintings and knight related decorations. The bar is quite big and with very friendly staff. Has become my favourite spoons.

Had Massive TV screens to watch the game but most off all I love how cheap the drinks were 😄👍🏾

Amazing place, amazing decor, great beer. It is worthy a visit to the toilets, trust me!

Perfect start to the day with a delicious breakfast along with exemplary service. Hat's off to the gentleman behind the bar who was pleasant and courteous, and also to the gentleman Manager who, from observation getting involved in tasks, clearly is a Leader. In my opinion, one of the most interesting and best Wetherspoons in the country.

One of the most beautiful Wetherspoons’. Usual menu and drinks. It’s very very crowded because of location so it’s better to come early

This is one of the high class Wetherspoon pubs. Nicely designed pub.
However, not possible to order to table through mobile app. Because no table numbers.
And prices are high in comparison to many other Wetherspoons.

*Not a 'Spoons* New ownership. 5 ales on tap. Reasonable value. Early days for the business clearly.
Like my pint, I'd give it time to settle...
Staff very numerous, keen and friendly.

Big pub with large selection of Beers, ales and spirts. Decent food with lots seating space. The Knights Templar is the place to start, built into the shell of the Union Bank. It's an extravagant affair, with an outrageously high ceiling supported on golden-topped columns, and a knight in shining armour looming out from the walls.
We're far enough from the financial City that the suits here are more likely to be from the legal professions than the banks. Indeed the pub name references the medieval order who set up the nearby Inner and Middle Temples — centuries-old training grounds for the bewigged of court. Those who are called to the bar also go voluntarily, it seems. Sober as a judge, the big screens here pump out news channels rather than sports. Situated between chancery lane and temple station. Very close to the royal courts of justice.
gary day
Very close to temple church , great interior templar relics everywhere very friendly staff and customers. Excellent prices 👏 will definitely visit 👍 again next time in London

Good old Werthies! Another example of breathing new life in to a beautiful historical building. Even the Ladies loos are special. The usual selection if great drinks and food at very affordable prices!

Don’t expect a 5* hotel restaurant.
It is a PUB.
I would say ‘THE’ PUB. Fish and chips cooked to perfection, steaks exactly as per the order, quick service.
Reasonable prices, fun and diverse people, a plethora of beers and some non alcoholic choices too.
Good for families
Good for couples
Good for colleagues/friends
Good for singles
Good for who’s not sure about the above.
I liked it. It’s modern old fashion, it’s democratic it’s dynamic. It’s England:)

I have been here in the past for lunch and found it to be a nice place to go, but after their disgraceful attitude towards a blind war veteran when they refused to serve him, and actually called the police in, i would never step foot in here again! Shame on them

Avoid at all cost's, Staff are a disgrace and the pub policy's are shameful to say the least. I'd rather drink the water from the River Thames than ever setting foot in the place again.
Raul Landa
Do not bother. Bar staff is condescending and patronising, which is particularly laughable given that they do not know what products are available for sale. The food is mediocre and the drinks nothing special. Avoid.

I finally made my way down here after some suggestions (Thank you Tony Marsden). The peculiarity of this weatherspoon's pub is its location, in an ex branch of the Bank of England!! The place is breathtaking with its imposing architecture and wide spaces and the lovely overlooking balcony is a treat of tiny alcoves and dark passages. Food wise they serve the usual range typical of the whole chain and the quality is just a bit higher than the other branches. I was lucky to go on a quite moment that have allowed me to enjoy it at full, but that didn't prevent the kitchen from messing my order and the staff to be a bit patronising when inquired about my missing dish. I even had to go and find someone to get some cutlery..... nontheless it's worth a visit.

A beautiful pub, just stunning architecture!
I came here on a Friday night with work colleagues for a drink and it was absolutely packed to the rafters!
It is a great place but the amount of time spent waiting for a drink takes so long that you spend less than that actually drinking.
It looks like it would be a great place when it's a bit quieter, as when we went there were lots of people outside and on the opposite street drinking too as there was barely any space, despite the large size of the building.

Nice atmosphere in a beautifully decorated traditional pub. Food is quite nice (still pub food) an inexpensive.
