Had a great time!! The atmosphere is amazing, staff are friendly, food was nice and prices quite reasonable. Can’t wait to come back again. Love the idea of arts and crafts with a drink / meal. Very close to Kings Cross station.

Yesterday, 12 humans and about 30 teddy bears attended afternoon tea and enjoyed amazing sandwiches, scones and cakes, not to mention bottomless Prosecco which really was bottomless hic!
Thank you to Falon for the excellent bear-friendly service and to Lily for keeping that Prosecco coming! We had a lovely afternoon.

Drink shop & Do is such a fun place to visit. Not only a bar and restaurant but quirky activities hub. It's great to hangout with friends doing something with crafts and grabbing a bite to eat. So far we've made paper mache love bugs and taken part in a Thriller dance class. Also activities are really reasonably priced considering it's in Kings Cross. Looking for something different to do check out their website.

Has so much fun here! Booked in for a hen and did bottomless brunch with hen games as our DO. It was fantastic. Service was excellent. Food was delicious and the games were hilarious! Will definitely be looking to come back again.

On behalf of 30 teddy bears and their associated humans, I want to thank Falon and Lily for a great afternoon at Drink Shop Do's Afternoon Tea
The sandwiches were very tasty and the cakes were amazing - the scones were as big as some of us bears (bigger than some!) There was so much jam and clotted cream we did not go short and certainly never ran out of bottomless Prosecco, which was really really nice.

Lovely staff, beautiful venue, great value (£26 unlimited brunch). Vegan and gluten-free options BUT not both at the same time which is a shame even though I could order all the toppings without bagel/gluten-free toast.

Lovely cafe in King’s Cross, nice atmosphere and interior decor and good coffee and tea. It is open till late which is handy. Their cakes are yum too. They do several workshops and events there. There’s also a bar downstairs.
Dr Jesica Mac Leod
Delicious latte and decaf latte. Great for brunch or just to grab a drink. They have an under “basement “ bar area great for groups and dates. This place is a gem in the area and it is open until late

Lovely spot to get some cake and tea/coffee. A bit loud due to the activities going on upstairs in the main area.
Cake was a perfect size and the Alice in Wonderland tea was lovely.
Will hope to try the activities next time I go.

Great day out for my sister's bridal shower. Had adequate gluten free options for afternoon tea and we also made flower headbands.

Went for Friday nights glitterati party. Not much glitter but great cocktails

The atmosphere in this bar is amazing. Cozy lightning, friendly hosts and awesome drinks! If I lived in London near this place I would visit it weekly!

Amazing!!! Tasty food, friendly staff and awesome activities! Flower crown making was ridiculously good fun.

I've held a few events here and I get the same great service every time - from event management down to the staff on the day.
They are a really friendly team and nothing is ever too much.
Zoe, the events manager, makes magic happen and changed everything last minute for me when I needed it.
I have been to one of their own events before as well and they are wacky beyond belief but great fun. Drinks are incredibly reasonable, especially given the location, and it's just a really pretty, friendly, relaxed space.
I will definitely be coming back here again.

Interesting and lively. I really liked the modern retro look.
There was a hen party going on while we are there so it was a little loud but other than that nice and friendly service.
Modyfoody
Great place and cafe in the Area to have delicious and freshly made and served drinks at reasonable prices, optimal hygienic conditions and with a really friendly and professional staff as well.

Absolute in love with this place.

The vibe is amazing just as their food options, healthy and nutrient options !
I would def come back heee next time when I find myself in London

Avoid Friday nights here is what I would say as it is crazy busy. This place has a lot to offer both in food and drinks plus the quirky stuff displayed. Didn't get a chance to see everything would make a other trip here definitely. Service is good, great cocktails.

A place I will definitely come back to the next time I'm in London. In Drink, Shop & Do offers not only a bunch of lovely gifts, but also excellent food we can eat in a very pleasant
space. When you are inside you find three charming rooms with a soul. As I went here with a rather large group, we were seated in the room in the back with a shiny disco ball hanging from the ceiling and flamboyant walls.

The lunch was diverse and absolutely delicious. They began with some snacks: nachos with the best guacamole I have had in a while, pieces of chicory filled with creamy pastes, egg canapés and spring rolls. All the time the staff kept bringing lemonade and orange juice, both home-made and tasty. Then, we had sandwiches with black olive tapenada, avocado dip and meat in creamy sauce. I am not sure which one was the best, since I really liked all three: good bread, rich taste and amount perfect for the group. Lastly, we were given some really delicious cakes (the lemon one was my favourite) and some fine tea and well-brewed coffee. I loved it all!

I can recommend this place if you are looking for a teambuilding session. The comics drawing workshop we had here was hilarious, motivating and bonded everyone very well. All in all, I am looking forward to paying Drink, Shop & Do another visit!

Stopped for a chai tea. The place is like a tardis. Very unassuming from the outside but once you step inside and up the stairs, it opens up to a whole new world. By day it's a cafe. By night it's a bar. Was there during a hen do so they were very loud. But otherwise a nice venue for a quick drink or catch up with friends.

I’ve wanted to go to Drink, Shop, Do for ages. It’s a great place for doing crafts, playing board games and a good night out – what more could you want?. I was invited to go along for Hillary’s Crafternoon, where we would be making our very own jewelry boxes. We were in the back room, which was decorated with some ‘punny’ totes and a disco ball. There was a wide selection of cakes, and a gluten free chocolate orange one for me, so I was very excited!

I discovered this place online and a friend highly recommended their cocktails here but since I was going to meet my friend in the morning, a slice of cake and tea seemed most suitable.

There were so many cakes to choose from we ended up asking multiple times which one was which! We ordered a slice of chocolate almond, red velvet and mocha. After reading Alexandra Kalinowski's review, I went for the James and the Giant Peach tea which was delicious.

Despite ordering three slices, only two turned up and I had to go and hunt for my cake.

When it did arrive, the chocolate almond cake slice was simple but rich, and brownie like and also gluten free. The red velvet was good also but the best one would have to be the mocha and I'm not even a coffee fan.

I love cake but one slice plus a few mouthfuls of the other two, was enough to put me in a cake coma. Definitely coming back.
I have just finished an afternoon in drink, shop, do and I can hardly express what an infuriating and disappointing experience it was! There was a large group of us there for a special event and very much looking forward to the afternoon. The service was appalling - food without cutlery, pots of tea without cups or milk, massive delays with some people's orders and the most ridiculously over priced afternoon tea I've ever come across - £24 for 1 person and in no way luxury. To add to the joy they made paying the bill virtually impossible by not bringing the whole bill to the table and letting us figure it out (that would be too easy) instead we all had to queue up and tell them what we'd had to get an individual bill...which we weren't allowed to pay until everyone had one. all this because we'd had to pay £5 in advance to reserve the table and they wouldn't just take it off our individual bill! It's a lovely concept and great space but I will never go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'm writing this to save others money and stress and I hope the management take note and do something about it!!

By no means does Drink Shop & Do have the longest drinks list, but they offer a good selection of tea, coffee, milkshakes and mood lifting cocktails like ‘Ruby Shoes’. Sweet tooths beware: there is always a sumptuous selection of cakes on display including the decadent chocolate Guinness cake and an orange soaked polenta cake. There’s also a good selection of sandwiches and light snacks on offer.
Maya
Served on gleaming white bread, cut into eight mini triangles with the crusts sliced off, this was a very party-food-esque snack.

We spent a good hour in Drink Shop Do, savouring the cake and tea, with no pressure from the staff for us to move on. For meeting friends or as an after shopping cake break I can really recommend the place, and I’d love to go back and try out some of

Went in for a late night cocktail, heard a lot about this place so made time to visit. Wasn't anything to do when I was there but the drink choice is vast, the cocktails odd but the food choice (considering late night) is great. The bread & dips were perfect with a big glass of wine & I am in love with the hummus. Not much to "shop" & a little messy but altogether a lovely little place.

Drink, Shop & Do is a little eclectic cafe that doesn't look like much from the outside but is actually really cute. It's a nice place to have tea, they have nice porcelain tea sets and the restaurant is decorated in light pastel colors and cute mixed-matched furniture that kind of reminds you of the Alice in wonderland tea scene. I had a really nice chocolate brownie and thought their scones were also quite good but I did think that it was all a bit pricey.

We stopped in here whilst walking past as it seemed from the outside to be a cute little gift ware shop. It is indeed a gift ware shop but they also house a great little cafe out the back. As is the trend with many a places in London, housing a shop and a cafe in one makes for great business and also adds to the whole experience for the customer. We came in to buy some gifts and left with some really cool wooden post cards and also full from cakes and coffee.

Up the back of the rather narrow shop you find yourself coming into a bigger space which is very well lit and nice, airy and open. The interior is quirky and colorful but no too over done so it still feels fresh.

The coffee was really good! I definitely want to come back to try their lunch menu!
Katrina Hinrichsen
A charming and eclectic cafe shop in a central location by King's Cross Station.

They specialise in simple foods with interesting or high quality flavours. Drink prices are moderate to pricey but are generally worth the deal. The Bakewell tea with its cherry, almond and mallow flavours smells and tastes beautiful.

What I like most about this cafe however is the 'do' element - they have plenty of creative and cheap events to get involved with most days of the week. You can spend one visit making a clay replica of Leonardo Di Caprio and another learning how to dance to Thriller!

Creative and Cheerful Ambiance.

I found this place located near King’s Cross St. very original and quite distinctive. Finally... somewhere colorful !!

After a careful look at the menu, I ordered their soup of the day served with bread and butter, which was smooth and tasted salutary. Then, we shared one of their cheeseboard with cheddar, goats’ cheese, kentish blue cheese and others. They tasted fresh and peculiar. The bread was soft and perfectly matching the cheese’s tastes. Prices are good and 30 £ for two people should be enough.

Distinguishing Experience.

Location wise Drink, Shop & Do has everything going for it, situated just a short walk from St Pancras and Kings Cross station in London. This quirky cafe by day becomes a bar by night and offers dancing, food and games!

The gluten free menu is very limited so I went for the Ploughman's and they were able to provide gluten free bread (which would have been a lot better if it was toasted as it was extremely dry) and I was slightly disappointed with the meal.

I'm not a fan of chocolate cake and unfortunately a lot of gluten free cakes are of the chocolate variety. I actually really enjoyed the chocolate cake as it was very tasty!

Get there early if you are visiting during the day as the cafe fulls up very quickly with trendy iMac pounding youngsters!
Mack Rutherby
Quirky little cafe/bar, serving good cocktails in a nice relaxed environment just away from the dense Euston road. As a concept pretty much everything is for sale here, so have a browse around. I came here for a quick drink over lunch, this place is ideal for a catch up with an old friend over a coffee, make it Irish if you wish. There is a nice selection of IPA's and the toasted sandwiches use fresh ingredients if you're in a hurry for something filling. However I would explore the specials, often different they smelled delicious on this day as they came through. I must state that I didn't venture downstairs, towards the sign saying sex shop. It isn't a sex shop, rather a bar that used to belong to a sex shop next door. Apparently its much livelier but I will have to check it out.

All in all a nice little cafe that doesn't mind a healthy dose of liquor.
Why Waste Annual Leave?
After hearing about this place for years now, I finally made it here courtesy of a friend who is soon to be getting married and needed a location for afternoon tea, quirky but feminine, fun but not extortionate and also included a craft activity - not many places can boast a set up that includes all of the above but Drink Shop Do caters perfectly to all these needs.

Organising a party here couldn't be easier - the activities and teas are all clearly listed with prices on their main website. We did have to pay an advanced per head deposit to secure the booking but this all came off the cost of the bill on the day. There were a few more private rooms but even on the group tables in the public restaurant area, the place had a great buzz about it.

When we were there, it was predominantly a room full of women but I imagine when happy hours and after work drinks set in, it must be much more mixed.

The afternoon tea came with Strawberry Bellinis and for those of us who don't drink, they did one of the BEST mocktail versions of this drink I have ever tried (of any drink I have ever tried to be honest) - it was that fresh and light.

The sandwiches themselves were quite intriguing coming in various flavours of bread including beetroot, basil and honey bread, which was a nice touch you don't often see. Portion sizes were also very generous with 5 finger sandwiches each, 1 3-tier cake stand to share between two people and 2 very chunky but perfectly done scones - one cheese and one standard sweet scone. The cheese scone was nice though I'd have liked it to be served a bit warmer and perhaps just a bit thinner but it went really well with the nicely presented herb butter that came on the side. The sweet scones were absolutely divine with a lashing of cream and jam. The variety of cakes included red velvet, a small chocolate brownie and a small lemon meringue pie. These were lovely too but it was the sweet sonce that stole the show for me.

Also a nice touch were the complimentary red lollipops they had left as favours for our party. Most of all, especially since there were clearly other parties going on in there at the same time, I was very impressed by how organised they were - not just with our booking but with being able to get our orders made and served in an orderly and timely fashion despite a large group and how friendly they remained. The staff were all dressed in quite a quirky and edgy manner and there are some nice little books, trinkets and items available for sale.

I believe at night time, it turns into more of a bar/club setting and I would love to return and try some of the more unusual activities such as making biscuits shaped as Lionel Richie's head??!?? No seriously - apparently this is a real thing they do.

If that hasn't got your curiosity peaking, nothing will. Look it up. It's worth a visit.
Gingle Lists Everything
Everything in Drink Shop Do is for sale – there is a little shop of craft type stuff at the front, including some wry cards that I particularly found amusing, and then you go into the back where they serve the food and drinks. They also hold different arts and crafts type evenings. Hence the name. They have some specials on every day and we asked the waitress to tell us what they were. We all ended up ordering one of them. I had the spinach and ricotta quiche, which I asked to be warmed. It was very nice and came with an assortment of salad which I wasn’t expecting. However, I must admit I had food envy when I saw what the others had ordered. The soup special was thai coconut and sweet potato, with a bit of chili, which I didn’t go for because I don’t like coconut. To my chagrin I was informed that it didn’t taste coconutty at all, and also came with some lovely crusty tiger bread and a clump of butter. The other order making me see green was the special of beef and ale stew. This too came with some bread and butter and was served in a cute stew pot from which you could see the great hunks of beef and veggies poking out. It looked delicious and I am told it was. And all very reasonably priced. They have a selection of home made cakes on the shelf which looked amazing, but as no one else was indulging, I wasn’t tempted to. Not this time round anyway.

At the end of the working day back I went to DrinkShopDo. While it wasn’t exactly transformed, the ambience was definitely different. There seemed to be more tables and the lights had been dimmed. The cakes had been removed from the bar, and though I think you may still have been able to order them, by the time I got into drinking, the tasty bar snacks of vegetable crisps and chilli wasabi peas and cashews they serve seemed more appropriate. They have a selection of cocktails, as well as wine, beer and cider. The prices are fairly average for London. A cocktail will set you back £7.50, which is actually less than what I have been paying at other cocktail-oriented places. I must highly recommend the Gorgy Porgy. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the drink to go for, like liquid creme brulee.

I was at the venue by 5:45 and the place was already quite busy. I’d say by 6:30 there wasn’t a free table. But luckily, for anyone arriving later, there is a downstairs area with a bar, playing music. You would be forgiven for thinking there wasn’t, as the sign advertises a toilet down the stairs and nothing else, but if you do go to the loo you will discover it. It used to be part of the sex shop next door, which explains the multicoloured streamers at the entrance.

Downstairs is a bit livelier. Upstairs is perfect for having a catch up with a few close friends. When we went in the daytime there was an assortment of board games at the bigger tables, and it was still commonplace to find people getting them out and settling down for a game with their pint.

I think this place is delightful and have been back a few times - most recently for a hen do when we had afternoon tea and had our hair and makeup done in vintage style.
Amo La Food - With Alexander Baines
After reading the wonderful reviews exhibited on Zomato for this 'quirky' café close to Kings Cross station, I was intrigued to find out what the buzz was about.

To access the dining area, one must wonder through the shop entrance with all sorts from sweeties to cards and up some stairs at the back. The dining area boasts high ceilings and a variety of thrift shop, vintage items dotted around the room on display. Everything is recycled, the chairs, tables and the cutlery!

Several other diners and myself sat down and decided to have a spot of lunch, we ordered several drinks (by the way they don't do milkshakes and the drinks are rather standard). The drinks came in quick succession.

Now to the main talking point, the food. The menu has only a few dishes available (enough to almost fill an A5 piece of paper) and most of which are cold dishes. One of the only hot dishes available was the Chilli con Carne, which several of us ordered. The rest ordered the salt beef. The lack of options was upsetting for such a brilliant surrounding and didn't do the decor justice. The food was okay, but for the prices they command, it was overpriced and poor value for what is essentially, a café.

They then had issues with splitting the bill and using cards, therefore we had to do it outside the restaurant (in my opinion just the assistants being too lazy to calculate).

Overall a pretty poor experience and sadly a rather pretentious venue lacking any gastronomic substance.

Close to St Pancras station, Drink Shop & Do offers creative and recreational universe, with a tea room is a room furniture combining vintage 40's-60's and contemporary design.
The shop has all kinds of objects, from a teapot with the effigy of Queen Elizabeth to flower bouquets, 50's plastic chairs or creations of emerging designers. The motto is simple: everything is for sale... and to buy! The setting always changes! At each time of day you can play scrabble with the "afternoon-tea" with a selection of teas and homemade pastries formidable, there is something for everyone!

A smart concept that divides a unique venue into two distinct entities: a sweet multicoloured coffee shop at the 1st floor and a dark secret cocktail bar at the basement. Both places are particularly well decorated and each one is obviously suited for a specific moment of the day.

Read more reviews here:: http://trendyguide.wordpress.com

A quirky little cafe located 5 minutes from King's Cross St Pancras, Drink, Shop & Do is very cute inside. A 'ground floor' has a desk along with crocheted items and quirky random items that can be used to decorate the home can be found. Then steps lead up the main cafe area, where mismatched tables and chairs are arranged around the large high-ceiling room. Almost everything can be bought, and they are all vintage. It's almost reminiscent of a Roman bathhouse - the shape of the room ie.

It's a great place to have a good coffee, and they have some pretty awesome cakes in there. The kind of cakes change depending on what's been baked that day. I personally love their white macadamia nut cheesecake with caramel sauce.

Tip to visitors: look up all the way to the glass roof and you'll find a large spider (fake naturally), perched in a corner.

Also, this cafe is not just about the food. It hosts regular events nearly every evening, which allows people to socialise doing a fun activity (like knitting for example!) while meeting new people.

Something is always happening here ... a buzzing place with character.
