I went some time ago, but from what I remember it’s a comfortable, funky looking place with a nice atmosphere and great cocktails.
Look forward to trying their other locations.

A quirky spot for a drink. The cocktails are really delicious and creative, not like your standard cocktail menu. The venue feels like a memebers club due to the lounge setting and attentive service. The strange taxidermy and antiques add to the uniqueness of the venue. They have private dining rooms for parties and events which looked really nice.

Loved it. Great service, even to me and my vagabond friends at 10am. Thanks for putting up with us.

Amazing service. Our server put together a modified late afternoon tea when we showed up after 5 without a reservation. He was patient and welcoming. Cozy atmosphere as well.

Classsy Coffee House. Very relaxed but good for corporate meetings.

Amazing cocktails, what a great and interesting selection of cocktails.
The place is beautiful and quirky.

Probably my favourite cocktail bar in central East London!

very nice place, very comfortable and you really feel at home. Cocktails are very stylish and well prepared. I love their Martini Koln from their special cocktail selection. The food at the bar is delicious especially the salmon. I was in this bar with some friends for a birthday party. The waiters are very helpful and professional.

This was my second visit here - really enjoyed it. Great staff and a wonderful start to my birthday celebrations for that evening! Cocktails were spot on, and all the girls loved it! Thank you!One of the best venues in London.

Relaxed and refined, the Zetter is reminiscent of a prohibition speak-easy. The decor is eclectic, yet very lush and comfortable with big sofas and chairs spread throughout. The walls are covered in strange yet humorous paintings and knick-knacks, so while the cocktails are serious and of high quality, the lounge is distinctly playful and light hearted.

The staff is also very knowledgeable and attentive. I learned a lot about the cocktails we were being served. Each drink is presented with style, beautifully made and chilled.

I must-go for cocktail lovers or on that date you'd like to impress.
Ginandcrumpets
Another hit was the roasted head of garlic: 2 garlic bulbs, roasted and halved so we could tease out the sweet cloves with the prongs of our forks. We popped them out and swallowed them like savoury candy.

For something that’s a bit more grown up, maybe even old fashioned, try the bar at The Zetter Townhouse (ZTH for those down with acronyms). It’s the latest venture of Tony Conigliaro, the man behind the now infamous and award-winning bar with no name at 69 Colebrooke Row, in collaboration with The Zetter. Inside is a boudoir of dramatic nick-nacks including taxidermy and old paintings. The dolled-up cat is a bit disconcerting and you wouldn’t want to get into a boxing match with the kangaroo on your way to the bedrooms after one too many, but the staff have the most adorable little outfits; you’d wish they were minuscule enough to pop into your pocket and take home. Figurines should definitely be the next thing on their agenda.
Wrap Your Lips Around This
Often featured on ‘London’s best’ lists, the well made drinks and attractive ambience make it deserving of such accolades. The twisted works of a skilled taxidermist are strewn throughout; a cat in a santa outfit, a parrot with an awkwardly angled neck, and a boxing kangaroo. The 12-strong drink list is curated by Tony Conigliaro, of 69 Colebrooke Row/Bar Termini fame, and the drinks we sample are good.

Part of The Zetter Townhouse Hotel. This cocktail lounge has a reputation of serving cocktails in a beautiful and relaxing setting. With a simple but elegant cocktail list created by industry heavyweight Tony Conigliaro. You will feel like stepping back to the past at a royal's mansion at this cocktail lounge, an ideal place to kick off your evening after a long day at work.

...really excellent virgin and bloody Marys – the horseradish vodka in the boozy one was great. My pea pancake with poached egg that came was tasty, if a little small.

I had been meaning to go to Polpo for so long that it was starting to become a bit of a joke (especially considering that the Farringdon branch lies a mere 10 minutes from my flat). So I was very glad to finally get an excuse to try it out the other week on double date with my brother and his girlfriend. Situated on a side-street just across from Smithfields meat market, the restaurant has a great atmosphere - dimly lit, but not overly so, with a nice bar and a cosy dining area. We started off with drinks at the bar, before moving to a snug table in the corner of the restaurant. Polpo has a fantastic menu - everything is designed to be shared (my favourite way of eating) and while the availability of house wine in litre bottles was reminiscent of my uni years*, the quality of the food definitely wasn't. We began our meal with a selection of cicheti (traditional Venetian-style tapas). Unable to decide between the array of tempting dishes on offer, we ordered a couple of sampling plates

For a fun photo opportunity, check out the stuffed kangaroo in the dining room. And if you find yourself one cocktail too many there are stylish rooms to be had above the lounge (Zetter Townhouse) or a few wobbly steps away across the cobblestones of St John’s
Grumblings From A Greedy Girl
The bar at Zetter Townhouse does (shock, horror) bar food. So we shared a selection of plates (and low and behold ordered entirely too much, as Zetter clearly likes rich, heavy food). Allow me to break each plate down for you:

The furniture is all mismatched and one chair had a back made of an old potato sack. You could barely see the rich red wall paper behind the paintings and picture frames that lined the whole wall. Old books grace the bookcases and the staff wear excellent old work wear uniforms. I was surprised that the bar wasn’t busier for a Wednes

If slightly mad, eccentric but ultimately cool Great Aunts did cocktail bars...

The Zetter Townhouse is the antithesis of every mononlithic, boring and beige hotel out there.

Best cocktail bar in London. They can be a bit dismissive sometimes, if you show up late as a large group, they'll most likely tell you to do one. But show up early, pre dinner drinks are your best bet. Most recent visit was for a pre Quality Chop House martini and scotch egg. Both incredible. The gin martinis are dangerously drinkable. LOVE and will miss this place a lot.

Found in the City, this bar is part of the Zetter Townhouse Boutique Hotel. A quirky cocktail lounge with elegant surroundings, low lighting, comfy sofas and includes an open fireplace. Various quirky artefacts adorn the walls and interior of this glorified living room, look out for the kangaroo with boxing gloves! Each table has its own little flower arrangement. The cocktail list is very small with a selection of only 12, but this list exhuberates quality and not quantity. All the cocktails are unique and inspired by the area’s distilling heritage. They are very flavoursome comprising of a variety of homemade cordials and infusions which are placed behind the apothecary style counter at the bar. The potent cocktails are all served with a glass of water! Ladies try the ‘Soixante-Quinze’ and Gents try ‘The Richmond.’ This laid back bar has funky chill out background music making it an enjoyable place to relax and unwind after a stressful day.
Located in a square just off clerkenwell road, from the outside you would not even be able to tell where the door really is!

However, you step inside into a fantastic pub/cocktail bar with a truly authentic 'Olde' British feel juxtaposed to the exterior.

The noise level and lighting is perfect and there is a huge array of drinks and tasty cocktails/mocktails to cater for every taste. The food available perfectly compliments the feel of the place - small, simple dishes which are great for sharing with friends. The babaganoush is a particular highlight!

Quick tip, there is a games room downstairs with a table tennis table if you are feeling sporty.

Verdict - definitely go for it!

From the outside Zetter Town House doesn't look like it has much to offer but once you go through the door, you are immediately engulfed into a different world. Chesterfield couches, stuffed animals on the walls and a general decor that looks like a 1950s film, people are drinking tea and chatting. The menu is somewhat limited and pricey, but its worthwhile to come here for their deserts, or crackers & cheese, and just admire and mingle within the outstanding atmosphere.
