Beautiful fine dining experience obviously. It’s situated at the heart of Mayfair. Very chic Italian! We had an al fresco experience but the tables were super close to each other - even if there wasn’t a pandemic, it would have still felt like people were in your personal space. That said, food was good. Took a bit of time to arrive but arrived hot and nice. Presentation was excellent. Absolute food art. Loved it. The value for money wasn’t great. Think it was over priced for the quality and portions . Good selections of wines though and staff were friendly and professional.

fine dining experience was great. Customer service was heavy on experience but the food took a little too long, pasta was wasn’t perfect but other than that everything else was great. Cocktails was average, starter was great, mains was okay, staff was amazing. Blanket and heater was appreciated for outside dining. Staff was entertaining

It's a great restaurant got very busy after 9-10pm. A Dj played nice music all night. The food was very tasty. We had salmon with fig which was very nice. Also crocketts, burrata, pasta with mushroom. I had better steak elsewhere. It was too fatty and the meat dry. The desert was tasty. The price like central London price. There was only one toilet downstairs. I've heard this restaurant owned by Chelsea footballers so you might meet with them if you are lucky.

Gorgeous food. Great staff.... wine way over priced. Ive never come across somewhere that a glass of wine is way more exp than a cocktail. Anyways dj played amazing song and all in all was great... i wish there was a seperate bar so you could stay for a drink and listen to the music

One of the best Italians in London. The service is great and the food even better. The melanzane and pizzeta are must have , try the raspberry tarte for dessert and you will not regret it .

Loved every moment of a very special night! Being a huge fan of Chelsea Football club and Willian and David Luiz. Not being from England it was incredible to say we went to this restaurant! The food and service were incredible! The moment you enter the smiles and warmth to the food and service!

Delicious Italian Cuisine
My friends and I visited Babbo on Friday 25th October 2019 with the aim of a girls dinner and a great atmosphere, a couple of our friends have been to Babbo's and highly recommended it, after a little Online search came across Babbo instantly saw pictures of the dishes and decided to book a table for a group of four at 7pm.
From our arrival the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive in every single detailed from explaining various cheeses on the cheese board selection, the ingredients of each dish to serving our food and checking we were happy with out being overwhelming.
Everything on the menu is worth trying, in my eyes Babbo’s Chef aims to deliver delicious yet healthy Italian food. There are classic dishes and signature Babbo specials.
Every single dish from the starters all the way the desserts, no only did they look like a work of art but accelerated our taste spuds and we wanted to try more.
We indulge ourselves with following delicious starters:
Cod croquettes, beef fillet carpaccio, mustard dressing & parmesan cheese, Classic mini margarita pizzette, beef tartare served on quinoa crackers, Red prawn tartar with imperial caviar & centrifuge of green apple.
Pastas to die for, homemade maccheroncini with porcini mushrooms & Linguine gragnano with lobster.
Chefs special Beef cheek with mustard mash potato and cabbage salad, the beef was perfectly cooked it soft and almost melted in your mouth.
Desserts out of this world, Cheesecake, Vanilla Panacotta, Titamisu with a delicious coffee ice cream
Everything is made in-house, from the pasta to the bread and pastries.
Giuseppe was so attentive and offered us to try some of the Halloween specials, we tried and enjoyed the Black Widow cocktail and the special Halloween dessert which as one of my favourite desserts ever! Blood orange SemiFreddo with pistachio sponge, white chocolate was simply perfection.
Thank you to head chef Nicola, who personally came to greet us, and to check on us to make sure we are enjoying the food and overall experience.
The food was nothing short of perfection, I will be back soon to try the rest of the menu and I certainly recommend the restaurant for the overall experience with the staff and food.

I stopped for a couple of days in London for business. As I was walking down the street, I saw a lovely fiat 500 vintage car parked in front of a restaurant which caught my eye, Babbo.
I saw that the customers were thoroughly enjoying the food that was set in front of them. Furthermore, I entered the restaurant and was kindly greeted by the staff of the restaurant. The atmosphere felt nice and the music was at the right volume. All the selections of the starters was recommended to try the Fiorentina and boy, it was the best dish I have ever tasted! The recommendation did the right thing! The meat I ordered came to me and I was able to notice that it was very well cooked and prepared to a high standard. I enjoyed every minute of my time in Babbo and I left, ready to share my experience to my colleagues.😊👍

Babbo is a charming restaurant with friendly, courteous staff and excellent service. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. Babbo has the perfect ambiance and dining experience for any occasion, whether it’s for an intimate meal, a special celebration or a larger party of friends. The decor is tasteful and contemporary. Babbo is classy, yet not pretentious.

Had a work lunch and was trying not to go to all the usual Mayfair spots we go back to again and again and since @Angiesilverspoon had said great things about Babbo, I decided to suggest that. Babbo is cute, intimate and brightly lit inside with nice natural light flooding the entire restaurant. Many healthy options and also some indulgent and tasty ones!

Great spot for lunch in Mayfair. Charming room and good options with well executed pastas as well as healthy alternatives such as the salmon carpaccio. One note is several dishes tend to be a bit sweet so watch out for that if you are not keen on sweet and savory combinations.

The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was delicious. However, I feel it's an insult to be poured 4 ounces for a glass of wine that costs 11£! And a bigger insult is to be charged bread for a dinner for two that costs 102£.
Suddenly a nice meal felt like a rip off!

Great experience!. My brother was visiting last week so took him out and I've chosen Babbo restaurant fro the dinner. I was very content that booked a table first because they were realy busy. We shared some starters and then I had the lasagna which was perfectly cooked and truly delicious and he had some spicy pasta which as he said was 'one of the best I've ever tried!'. We were completely satisfied, the servise was good, we picked up a nice wine to go with the meal, so we're deffinately going back when we have a chance soon!
Thanks to all the staff!

Great location and excellent food. Very good selection of wines and excellent menu. It has a nice environment with pleasant décor. And it is perfectly located away from the busy streets in the heart of Mayfair.

Great First Date Italian Restaurant. I have been to Babbo several times now and I make it a point to eat there at least once on each trip to London. It is a perfect place for a first date when you want a quiet atmosphere to talk with someone. The food is wonderful and the after dinner treats are always a good conversation piece. The decor and service are perfect when you want to escape the hustle of London. I can't think of one thing on the menu to point out. It is all great!

Recommended. A friend of mine had mentioned Babbo to me and I went there to confirm that this is a great Italian restaurant. Food was fabulous and we felt really welcomed by the friendly staff.

Wonderful home style italian food. Top quality in all of the ingredients is obvious in every bite. The lasagna is amazing, like no other I have ever had! The service is friendly and attentive. Babbo is a great place to relax, enjoy a great meal with good wine and good atmosphere.

Traditional Italian! Great!. Went to babbo for dinner, simply excellent. The food made our night out. To top everything we were lucky to see two of the Chelsea FC players dining there too.
If you are craving real Italian food, I totally recommend Babbo

Excellent 5*****. I was recommended Babbo by a work college and decided to treat my mum to a special meal for mother's day. After reading some reviews about Babbo I was getting worried that I would be ripped off, however it was worth every penny. The atmosphere was good, service was good and the food was unbelievable good. My mum who is very hard to please has requested we go back next year. So it's a definite winner.

Great Italian -. Babbo is definitely a must visit restaurant in London, completely different than other Italians the food here has taste and you can see the quality of the ingredients.
I had a burrata cheese that was so creamy and fresh, main course a traditional lasagna (chef says it is 100 years recipe from grandma) was crispy on top and really delicious and cream inside.
My friends had different starters and meat, all plates clean. Beside the comment on price we did not spend as we initially though (av £60 per head with wine).
take a look at the website: www.babborestaurant.co.uk
Mayfair is great place, dine like a king as the service is also very good.

Outstanding food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful wine list. A gem in Mayfair.

You know that restaurant that you always see out of the corner of your eye when you're heading somewhere else... The one you've walked or driven past countless times.... You always think that looks nice...I'll go there one day, yet you never do? Well for me Babbo was one of those such places. The restaurant is rather compact and feel quite old-school but in a cute and cosy way, with exposed brick work, a cool antique staircase and old family photos lining the wall So how come I'd finally made it to the place that I'd passed by so many times? Well, it was owing to an invitation from the lovely Elizabeth from Mayfair Office Girl who I'd met at the last London blogger's tea . The next tea is actually next weekend and there are still one or two spaces left so contact Melanie from Sunny in London for info. Sadly I can't make this one but I'll hopefully be at the next one in January. And on the subject of bloggers, Elizabeth's blog focuses on happenings, restaurants, shops and bars in Mayfair, so obviously the venue of choice would be in her local remit. When she asked if that restaurant suited me, I was very excited...well I'd seen it so many times while shopping or having lunch in Albemarle street and I was keen to finally try the food. We shared a starter of marinated salmon with hazelnuts, mango, chilli, lemon and black pepper. I'm sure you'll agree that the plate was totally beautiful. And I loved the slightly Asian flavour of the dish... a beautifully light and delicious way to start the meal. Next Chef Carl Scotto sent out a little surprise for us to try; a totally decadent and creamy white truffle risotto. A fabulous dish and the rice had just the right amount of 'bite.' Having worked with Angela Hartnett at Murano and at Galvin La Chapelle, Carl has some great experience under his belt. He even came out to talk us through the menu and tell us some of his favourite dishes which was such a lovely touch. Elizabeth and I were having a lovely time discussing bl

Babbo has been around for about 4 years, but changed head chef last year. The new head chef, Carlo Scotto, joined from Gordon Ramsey at Hospital Rd and has injected new life in the Mayfair venture. We had never heard of Babbo until we encountered them at the Taste Festival this summer. Their dish, Roasted Chianina beef fillet, blew us away and we decided to pay them a visit to check out some more of their cooking.

Taste of London is upon us yet again. We’ve been every year since 2007 (oh dear, we’re such pigs!). Like Christmas it comes once a year, and like Christmas you start looking forward to it well in advance of the actual due date. Sometimes it disappoints (too many people & bad weather), most of the times it delivers on expectations. We couldn’t care less about the events (if you ask me, they should free up the extra space and invite even more restaurants to participate), but the food…well, that’s a different story all together. Roka: Black cod dumpling Spice market: Pork Belly Steamed Bun Sriracha, Thai Basil and Mint Barbecoa: Barbecoa burger – Westcombe cheddar, Heirloom tomatoes, Charred red onion Gauthier: Summer Truffle Risotto (10/10) The Savoy Grill: Charcoal grill Dingley Dell pork belly with honey and apple Maze: Szechuan salt and pepper squid In the early days, when the festival first started it used to be one of the few food festivals around in London. I was seriously pissed leaving Babbo on Friday. Not only was I hungry, but I had also wasted my time. Its strange because Babbo gets great reviews, but given our experience I don't think I'll be testing whether this was a one off.

dishes on the menu well reflect that homey and hearty style of cooking. That said, I didn't mean the place was a sort of not-taking-itself-

Perfectly located in the heart of Mayfair, The Babbo it's a very small, pretty and authentic italian restaurant.
Prices are a little bit expensive for an Italian Restaurant but the dishes are really good ! The Burrata here is to die for...
Most of the time you should make a reservation if you want to have a table, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.

There are lot of lovely bars in this area where you can have a last cocktail before get home.

Italian food at its best and "deliciousness". The starters that our group had ordered were simply amazing. They freshness of the mozzarella and the preparation that seemed to have gone into the dishes was well worth the slightly exorbitant price tag. The wine menu was pretty extensive and we were recommended a good selection by the staff.

The only qualm would possibly have been the fact that some of the waiting staff struggled with English, so ordering stuff was taking a little longer. They were still very helpful and serving with a smile throughout. I had heard a lot about this place and would definitely recommend to anyone going there again. Just make sure you have a fair idea of your appetite because their portion for the main course are on the extremely small side.
