Wagamama restaurant offers attentive service, enhancing the dining experience. However, occasional encounters with unfriendly staff might mar its reputation. The visually appealing Asian-inspired dishes catch the eye, but the taste often falls short of authentic Asian flavors, leaving room for improvement. Despite this, it's worth a visit to explore their diverse menu. Nevertheless, diners might find better culinary options elsewhere that offer more satisfying flavors and a more consistent overall experience.

Delicious food (really enjoyed the vegan options) and attentive servers. The payment system is quite a pain, where you have to do it on your phone and manually enter all your card details. I’d also suggest that if you order an appetizer that you want time to eat before your meal, don’t give the server your full order at once.

Very busy on Saturday but we didn’t have to wait long to get sit. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food was on point, big portions and tasty. Good prices 😋
Marlene Kragelund-Leer
Always a great experience! Sunday night at 6.30, the place was very busy. We had to wait in a queue outside for 10-15 minutes but it is worth the wait.
My teenage daughter had grilled chicken ramen, my husband chili chicken ramen and I chicken katsu. We shared some chicken and duck gyoza too.
All the food lacked a bit of salt but that was easily solved. Apart from that, Wagamama never disappoints!
The venue is more effective than cosy, and the room temperature below what I’d prefer, but nevertheless I’ll be back again and again and again.

Don't ever eat here unless you want to feel like you're eating at the beach. Grit in my spring onions ruined the whole meal, absolutely disgusting, not recommended ever!!! An absolutely awful experience of this restaurant. I've only tried a wagamama twice this being the second time.. so not up my street, ud get paid thai from my local pub cooked by a Thai and without the grit in the vegetables, presented nicely taste 0 out of 10.. Sent it back to the kitchen, and no other dish ordered. It was totally put off by the food .. 1 courtesy cocktail as an offer and a starter as a replacement.. do not eat here unless u want an .hit experience! Last gripe u don't eat together here dishes are just brought out as soon as they're ready, so don't be disappointed as there's no united eating experience here

Hands down the Best Meal I’ve eaten in London, PERIOD! Positioned under the bridge near the London Eye you’ll miss it if you don’t walk far enough. It’s well worth the walk, and the food is to die for. Enjoy!

The food was amazing. Upon being seated we looked at what drinks we wanted and food, it took along time for staff to approach us to even take a drinks order. Then when we wanted to pay we had no table number so that then took awhile before a staff member was approachable to even ask what it was.
Leart Kelmendi
The food was delicious & Absar was very friendly and super helpful. Attentive too. Because of a glitch at the system my meal was late and they offered it to me for free.
Bianca Dodeanu
Food is ok - what I particularly liked is that they took my gluten intolerance very seriously (I had a separate GF menu, the manager took my order and they double checked); I felt confident to eat it.
Not a lot of dishes on the GF menu to choose from. Hopefully that will improve in the future.
Friendly staff.
However, we were a bit rushed to eat and leave. It is a popular destination, since it's next to London Eye and there were people queuing to have a table. That is the reason I would choose another Wagamama if you really want to try their food.
Andreea
Typical Wagamama with the usual quality. Foods were tasty but the staff didn’t really consider our requests (that’s the reason why I dropped one star). Otherwise, enjoyable, great for families or larger groups, plenty of seating and fast service.
António Moreira
Very good food and fast service. The atmosphere is not the best. Lots of people and lots of noise. Looks like the subway at rush hour.
Neringa Bylaite
We were lucky to arrive at a time there was no que, so we're able to have an early pre-theatre dinner very quickly. The service was very fast, staff helpful and friendly. The food was really delicious, presented well, and great value for money at such central location. Definitely recommend.

We love this Wagamama branch, especially for the food quality.
The problem is just the length of time you may wait to get in. It’s popular and in a very busy area. Even on a rail strike day, there was still a 10 minute queue.
The staff are friendly and polite. There’s a great outdoor area for the summer, spring and autumn. It’s bearable on a warm winter night too!

Food here is delicious and staff are very attentive even when it's very busy. There is often a queue but that is not the fault of the restaurant, it's simply a busy location.
Wagamama as a chain has excellent options for vegans, vegetarians and people with allergies and intolerances.
I tried the veganuary special ramen and it was really delicious, I wish it was a permanent menu.

Good place to stop for lunch . Evan that is always busy there are plenty sits and you cam find a spaces most of the time. Waiting for food is nor too long.

Had a great meal just now, but with Jihad’s help it was more than just a meal. He was very nice, kind and helpful. Very friendly as well. Thank you Jihad

Not being my first time at this site, this was by far the best experience I have had dinning in wagamama.
Esther was wonderful, treated me and my partner with care and a genuine smile, which honestly made the whole experience superb. Thank you Esther for being magnificent.
The food was steaming and very tasty, a delight.
Would definitely recommend anyone a visit, preferably for lunch ;)
Matt Howland
The best meal out I've had in a very long time. The food was absolutely top notch as was the service.
Misunderstanding with the food which was completely on us, but they gave us a complimentary dessert anyway. Cant fault that!
Zaynab KanizEzahra
Ordered Pad Thai noodles with Prawns. Could do with a bit more spice. Courteous staff though and nice place to hang out.
Fil Miah
Good option, fast and friendly service for a busy time. Food was freshly prepared and flavoursome. Didn’t have to wait too long for the food.

Super food and super staff at wagamama's on south bank. Nothing was too much trouble - they were happy for us to move tables, when the sun got too hot, and the food came quickly and was delicious. They also kept my sunglasses safe for me when I forgot them till the next day. Would definitely go again!
Fiona Fitzpatrick
Very busy & noisy. But great food & great staff. Food arrived quickly & was hot. Desert was really good.
Steve Odell
First ever meal in a Wagamama. Loved it. Great lively atmosphere, bubbly staff and lovely food. Loved the long table sharing as well. Will I go again....yes. Hope other sites have the same buzz
Sarah Ward
Great value for money, the portion sizes were pretty big and the food was lovely. It was the smell that lured me in. I wasn't too keen on my freshly blended fruit juice as it was lukewarm, perhaps would've been better with ice. I also didn't think much to the seating arrangements as all the tables were joined together. I don't much like sitting right next to people I don't know, but that's just me. The toilets weren't very clean.
Matt Winter
Even though it was extremely busy, we got our food very quickly and it was well made and tasted very good, the fruit drinks were amazing too. Well worth the visit.
Jonathan Roberts
Stumbled upon this one whilst in London to see GnR last week. Best Wagamamas I've ever been to. The waiter Tungey was a top bloke, nothing was too much trouble!!.
Fantastic!!!

First time at wagamamas, visited this one while in London. Staff were very good and friendly. Service excellent, as was the food.

A really geat place to go to if you're planning to have some legit Thai and South-East Asian food. My favourite picks would be the Thai Green Curry and Yellow Curry with Chicken, Herb flavoured Coconut Soup, Crispy fried Fish in Chilli Kraparo Sauce and the Tub Tim grob. Also, loved the ambience and service.
Mariette El-Soury Massabni (Les Délices De Mariette)
Very nice place. The food was delicious but the dessert amazing. The chocolate was so melty and the sorbet’s taste exceptional. Staff is very welcoming

I quite enjoyed my experience at Wagamama a few years back. Would definitely be visiting again whenever i travel back to London. I always try the dimsums wherever I go and the ones I had here were very good.

One of the favourite spots of mine when I felt like dining out .

All the health freaks out there you need to try this out for sure - Chicken Raisukaree with cocunut and some citrus curry along with it to make your evening perfect .
Sunita Basak
One of the restaurant chains which has been attracting me for a long time. So made up mind to have a dinner on a beautiful evening with family.

Landed up in the restaurant. The ever energatic staff made us feel even more excited and made us feel at home. The non-traditional ambiance with a touch of fusion added to the excitement.

The food selection between the various terms took longer. But when they arrived..wow beautifully presented with equally good taste made our evening. What did surprise me is the presentation of dishes as they are prepared, means not starter first but any dish as and when ready because you don't get in sequence of starter and then main course.

The fresh vegetables and ingredients and the right level of sauces was the secret I guess and the chefs must have mastered it. The crunchy vegetables, the udons and noodles was so perfectly cooked. I didnot had for a long time.

The lingering taste made my evening even more memorable with whole family. Loved it.

Visited this restaurant in London for the first time .. it is very ideally located on south Bank . The whole experience was outstanding and we had a really good time . We visited for dinner and tried the different varieties . My favourite was the Ramen noodle soup . The taste was spot on ! Service was outstanding with a lot of energy with the staff . Overall a fantastic experience.!!!

Wagamama is a great place to have Japanese, Asian cuisine.
I really like the ambience.
Food and fresh juices are fantastic.
My personal favourite dishes are:-
• Chilly Squid
• Firecracker (Prawn)
• super green & repair.
Food: starters: pulled pork gyoza (pic only shows 3/5) and ebi katsu
Main: me: Yaki Udon (without spice), my brother: Wagamama ramen
Positive: friendly staff, ebi katsu was good
Negatives: pulled pork was really mushy
I ordered mine without anything spicy and it had chillies in it (the manager didn’t charge for this)
The noodles didn’t have a lot of taste and I had to ask for extra sauce on the side.
The restaurant had SO many staff it was so busy but many didn’t seem to know what they were doing, for example there was a leak which I had to say to 3 staff and they didn’t put something to catch the water.
You can tell the noodles are ready-made and not great quality.
Overpriced for the quality.

Can never go wrong at this place , it's a go to place for me love their katsu Curry and rice, it's divine and ample locations through out London and a few across the pond as well!
The Flavor Chaser
Wagamama is an old favourite.
I walked into this outlet earlier this month during my annual trip to London. And it's an experience that I savour all year.
The coconut based dish with sticky rice was custom made for me (with less spice and more veggies) and was delectable.
The team is more than happy to discuss and suggest favourites off the menu and make you comfortable even when the seating is not that of a quintessential fine fine.
Great staff. Great food. Good wine. And a seat overlooking 900years of British history.
Rahul Banerjee
With the long benches and long tables giving an asian canteen feel, Wagamama offers a decent Asian taste. The Chilli Ramen nearly choked me with it’s overspiced soup. The gyozas were edible and that’s the extent of it. Overall it’s a bit overpriced for the taste. Portions are big enough for one mouth.
Googlebacha
Ordered the firecracker prawns (which is quite spicy) and served up with vegetables and rice. I also ordered fresh juice which isn't too sweet and tastes great.

Lovely place ! Delicious food.
Just Love their Chilly Chicken Ramen.
Ambience is also good.
Always rushy,so try reserving the tables beforehand.
Cheers

This place is to die for.. so far the bestest food I've had in long long time...

Called for chilly squids, Chilly ramen, pad thai, teriyaki soba and duck wraps. And each of it was just delicious.

Must go for asian food lovers

You never go wrong with the choice and taste of the noodles here. My personal favourites are wagamama ramen and the duck ramens. If u grab a seat out on the porch on a lovely evening with a pint. @LorraineMohammed

This restaurant gets really busy during the weekends. The staffs are friendly and the dining area is very clean. The food was really nice. I had the wagamama ramen bowl and the broth had the richest and tastiest flavour i had ever tasted. Also i would recommend you to try out the ' Iki' beer, it is really nice.
Would definitely come visit again.

Nice Japanese place with a bunch of options in vegetarian menu as well which is rare. Recommend this place for sushi. Average ambiance. Also tried some other dishes on the menu but nothing exceptional.
Anoll Merchaant
The name is interesting and with different name one must be tempted to visit the place, but it's strictly for non vegetarian people and one must check the menu if they are pure vegatarian ,

Simply avoid for vegetarian

Struggling to find anything positive about the food I ate here. First night in London and a friend recommended to come here, she has been living here and has eaten here a number of times. This is what we ordered:

Lollipop prawn kushiyaki - Flavour was nice enough but didn't like the novelty of having it wrapped up on a skewer like a loopy pop. It felt a little daggy

Fried duck gyoza - completely dried out and was like eating a rock. Filling was interesting, little over powering. Maybe I'm used to the ones back home that are slightly fried in a pan as I think these might have been deep fried??

Surendra's chicken curry - was nice enough but there was an ingredient that tasted very strong, possibly turmeric? Don't know but it wasn't pleasant

Grilled tuna omakasi - tuna was over cooked and lacked flavour. Everything else was just ok. The cucumber salad on the side was delicious

The venue itself is very nice and clean, staff were great. I honestly don't like to leave any negative feedback but I have to comment on what was put in front of me and what I tasted and in my opinion, for me it did not hit the mark.

Forever wishing I could come back to London to eat at Wagamama, we need these in the USA! We ate there twice and everything was delicious from the fresh juices to the apps to the meals. Good fresh delicious Asian cuisine!

When I crave a good, wholesome Asian meal...Wagamama is my fix!

I have been to 4-5 of their outlets, but the Southbank outlet is my favorite - for the location.

Must trys at Wagamama - Prawn Lollipops and Firecracker Prawns. The latter only of you have a fiery tongue. I would recommend most of their noodles and rice dishes, but may be not the coconut based ones...have had much better. But I love the colorfulness in everything they serve!

One place that's got the right balance of quality and quantity.

Simply adore this particular location of the restaurant.. It's spacious and bright. Great for a family meal too.

Food is simple yet flavourful.. They have a good range of fresh juices too.

We love the following

Chicken katsu curry with Rice
Shrimp Raisukarree
Chicken and Duck Gyozas
Fresh juices
Ramen noodles

Love coming here occasionally.😁

Very bad /rude service , dirty seats, dirty/oily table, the starters came after main, food came very late .The worst wagamama branch I have been!
Vivek Kedia
A unusually good place for vegetarians. The katsu rice and the yaki soba noodles are extremely appetising. Among welcome drinks ginger beer and the elderflower bottled soda are worth trying. The staff is hospitable and ambience really good. Budget patrons cab ask for complimentary green tea and extra curry

Went for dinner and ordered the baked veg dumplings, chicken katsu curry and the surendras veg curry. Curious to know why the surendras curry is called so.
Katsu curry was very good. Great presentation as well. Surendras curry was too spicy. Avoid. Baked dumplings were average as well.
Place has communal seating - large so you will probably get a place. Cost £31 for 1 starter, 2 mains, a beer and a juice.

Might choose ping pong next time (close by).

Div
We ordered the yasai goza (veg dumplings), chicken katsu, yasai surendra's curry, core juice and a beer.
Came to about GBP31+tip
Yasai is veg in Japanese. :)
Surendra's curry is way to spicy. To be fair, the description does say spicy but I couldn't enjoy it at all.
The chicken in the chicken katsu is grilled to perfection.
The dumplings were okay. We'll give it a miss and rather go to Ping Pong close by if we need to get our dumpling fix.

We will come back though. :)

You can't really go wrong with Wagamama. I have been to several locations when visiting London over the years. This is the location I ate at last week while over there on business. People might think you're a bit cliched eating there nowadays but the service was still excellent and the food was hot, obviously cooked from fresh ingredients, and exceptionally tasty.

Good experience. Good food and good service. On a busy evening they were able to cope with our demands of not being seated by the door (it was cold and windy).

I opted for the classic chicken katsu curry (£9.75) – breaded chicken strips and rice smothered in a mild curry sauce. The quality of the chicken was reasonable but it had been overcooked and was rather dry. The rice had been prepared in a massive rice cooker and was near to perfection, with a nice firm texture. The curry sauce was definitely pre-prepared – it was bland, stale and needed more spice; the side salad had seen better days....More reviews
November 27, 2014 by murraycsblake Leave a comment
Eat Tokyo
169 King St, W6 9JT
Nearest tube: Ravenscourt Park
020 8741 7916
Eat Tokyo on Urbanspoon
website; map
IMG_0002
Eat Tokyo is a London mini-chain of sushi restaurants with 5 branches around central, north and west London. The small and unassuming Hammersmith branch was already reassuringly full by 6pm, and the clientele seemed to include quite a few Japanese couples and families. The bible-like menu is replete with glossy photographs of every option and it is hard not to be overwhelmed by the immense array of dishes. The pricing is very reasonable and because the range of prices is quite tight I think you will get better value from premium dishes like turbot nigri (£4.8) rather than more standard options like mackerel (£3.2) or prawn (£3.8). Flummoxed by the range of choices we opted for a sashimi set and prawn tempura. The sashimi was generally good, highlights being the light, fresh and neatly prepared mackerel and the fatty, silky salmon. I was unimpressed by the (reconstituted) crab claw and octopus which were plasticy and tasteless. Tuna and a white fish (possibly bream or sea bass) were decent and definitely fresh, although they were slightly clumsily prepared. The prawn used in the prawn tempura was meaty and mild, the batter light and crispy – a simple but tasty side dish.
Verdict: a safe and fair value sushi option 6/10
IMG_1448
Patogh
8 Crawford Pl, W1H 5NE
Nearest tube: Edgware Road
020 72624015
Patogh on Urbanspoon
map
Pa

Wagamama's philosophy is all about positive eating and positive living. The dish above Yasai Yaki Soba which is one of Mimi's favourites on the Menu, matches perfectly this ideology. As a dessert why not try the delicious and healthy frozen yoghurt selection: fresh tangy lemongrass, chocolate: creamy dark chocolate with a ginger, passion fruit: deliciously smooth with a tropical fruit finish. One of UKâs busiest chains is definitely Wagamama , the concept pan Asian noodle restaurant, several locations including 70 in the UK and 36 in the rest of the world, simple decor in their restaurants, fast and friendly service, and a positive attitude. Place The Menu Wagamama is the kind of place you know you will get value for your money, and enjoy a tasty meal. Personally I preferred Hare & Tortoise due to a more varied menu, but in my last visits I have been observing a miniaturising effect in the food Hare is serving, on the other hand Wagamama is keeping their portions as usual, and also adding new options to their menu. Calamari: Acceptable Special Fried Beef Rice: Exceptional sadly out of the menu My favourite dishes are for starters or side duck gyoza, chicken tebasaki, and the new special pork ribs, and as main yaki soba, the classic chicken katsu curry, or beef teriyaki soba. Itâs usually good to check their specials they change from time to time and you might find

Good food. Their fire cracker will set you on fire! I was looking for spicy food in London and got what I wanted. After eating here once I also went to their other branch near the tower of London and wasn't disappointed although I like the location of this one better.
Vicky Dutta
A great place for some Asian delights. A steaming bowl of ramen noodles with tofu and vegetables did it for me. I really enjoyed the chilli chicken ramen and the other dish I called for. I requested for ramen noodles in place of rice noodles, and the staff willingly obliged. Great service and happy to help staff. Rather prompt service!
Manish Dani
Absolutely delicious food. Would certainly want to give a 5 star for it’s food. I had miso ramen which was as mouth watering and filling as any good meal could be. Yet it would be wrong to say that everything was good. The service was really unimpressive with the waiter sticking his elbow in your face. Bad service, definitely can’t give it 5 stars.
Callum Johnston
This place is hugely popular which means that large crowds are always coming in.I definitely advise people to brave the crowd for it is worth it! The interiors and the location is just the most awesome and in my opinion , the view from the place the most interesting. The service too despite the long queues do not rush you and is very sweet.
The food is also delicious and the portions substantial.
I recommend trying the ramen soup here.
Michael Dunn
We came here on a very exhausting and tiring day, looking for a break from food from the bars. I remembered this place from my first try several years ago, and I was glad to find that it was still withstanding. We were seated promptly upon arrival, and it was very long, and was looked over by a couple of servers. We began our meal with the qyoza and chili squid. We ordered the firecracker chicken and chili beef ramen. I ordered a ginger beer to accompany. The meal was as delicious as I had anticipated. The chili squid was spicy and flavourful and had huge portions. The beef ramen was good, but the firecracker chicken was even better,

I treat this place as an in and out experience. Order your food, scoff, pay and leave. The seating isn't comfortable and since this one is so crowded all the time, it's probably not a good idea to stay for no reason after you're done eating. Eating your meal here can be economical if you strike off alcohol and dessert. Seafood here is nice and fresh as much as it is a safe bet.
I will never claim that it's particularly good food but given that it's quick and available just about everywhere in London, it's one of the places I've come to embrace as a sanctuary for the cold, weary and hungry.

Whenever I am in this city, I definitely visit this place. I have always adored the culinary experience that it offers. The ingredients are fresh and delightful, and the spices are flavoursome. The warm dishes are a blessing in the cold weather. The staff is cooperative and attentive, and the service is quick and brilliant. However, these outlets are always busy, and it is not suitable for an intimate conversation. But if you are looking to have fun, you should definitely try it out.
Harley Hobbs
I ate at this restaurant, usually in the evening, all the time before I had kids. Now I am a parent who absolutely loves going there. It is one of the most child friendly places that I have ever come across. The kids menu is fantastic, there is no shortage of high chairs and the service is quick. I would recommend this place to everyone who go out for a meal with their kids.
Nathan Nelson
This place is both casual and luxurious.
With a large dining table, this place exudes a modern atmosphere. It serves authentic Japanese dishes ranging from the traditional ramen to the hearty shrimp served with tofu.

The chef manages to give you a fresh twist to comfort Japanese food.
Great place serving palpable food!
I will be back soon.

We had an awesome experience at this Chinese restaurant.
They take orders on this wireless device that sends the order right into the kitchen.
The ramen noodles were enjoyable.
The portions are generous.
The staff is competent and always smiling.
Quite a lovely place!
I wish I could go back again to try other dishes as well.

I have been frequenting the different branches of this chain regularly over the years and have always been delighted by my experience. The food is constantly delicious, and the ingredients are fresh. I especially prefer the cha han rice dish. It is sumptuous and amazing. The menu is very extensive and there are many alternatives for those who are trying Japanese for the first time. It is definitely worth a try.
Sebastian Francis
I visited this restaurant for a warm and fuzzy meal, specifically something like a wholesome ramen soup. I ordered ramen soup with pork. To me it was a pleasant surprise as the presentation of the soup was very good, with all the essential accompaniments. It tasted great, and was perfect for curbing my craving. The staff here is very hospitable and friendly. The ambience is also very appealing and lively. This place is not harsh on the pocket and is reasonable. Totally worth a visit.

This is a great location for lunch! Right along the river in South Bank there is a wide selection of restaurants to choose from - but if you love your oriental food (noodles, rice etc.) this is the place to go! They have a great selection to choose from which caters for all types of customers. The spacious setting with large patio windows allows a bright setting overlooking the river walk. I would definitely recommend for a lunch date!
Roberto Daniels
It was good, not one of the best restaurants I have been to in London, but it was good. The price wasn't too expensive, service was good/okay as the waitress gave us sufficient time to select our dishes. The portion of the food was sufficient enough to satisfy one person, so I was happy with that. I though the seating area inside was excellent and really spacious, so I do commend Wagamama for making the most of the dining experience. Overall, the experience was good and it is a restaurant that you can try out!
Behram Modi
This Japanese restaurant is a chain and I visited the one at Southbank, which was merely a few minute's walk from Waterloo station. I found that the food there lived up to my expectations as the flavour of the food was fantastic. The place is usually busy, despite which the food arrived promptly. Staff was efficient and helpful with suggestions. In terms of seating there are long tables with stools, typical of a normal Japanese chain. The helpings were quite large and the prices were reasonable, but a bit on the steeper side. Overall, I thought it was a great dining experience and it is certainly worth a try.
