What a beautiful restaurant in the heart of London. We visited here after a trip to the nearby museums. The interior decor and the whole vibe is next level. The food is so sososososososo good we cleaned our plates.
They serve Lebanese (like a fusion: Mediterranean + Middle Eastern) cuisine. Trust me if you have not tried, and especially if you like Greek and Turkish food, try Lebanese.

Dining at Comptoir Libanais in South Kensington was an unforgettable sensory adventure. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere, adorned with colorful lamps and paintings of iconic figures, created a cool and eclectic ambiance. Even the kids were engaged by the intriguing artworks. Despite the bustling crowd, the staff remained friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience.
The true highlight was the food, bursting with fresh, spicy flavors that left a lasting impression. The starters, featuring a delightful platter of olives and flatbread, were a hit, especially with the kids. The main courses were equally delightful; my partner's fish dish topped with pomegranate seeds offered a refreshing and satisfying contrast. I opted for the plate with three types of meat, complemented perfectly by a fresh salad and tantalizing dipping sauce.
The sangria, with its citrus flavor, was a refreshing addition to the meal. The only drawback was the restaurant's popularity, resulting in a bustling crowd. Nevertheless, I'd eagerly revisit on a quieter night to relish the experience even more.

Perfect spot for lunch along the road between the museums and the Tube station. Friendly fast service of mouth watering middle eastern food - spiced lamb kofta has never tasted so good! Skip the chips and take the potatoes for their flavour! Marvellously decorated interior with views put to the busstling street to people watch. Good value. Recommended.

Beautiful atmosphere with fresh food, great flavours and very welcoming staff.
Had a solo breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed

We ordered a mezze platter for one & a couple of other things.
It had good variety of food but we didn’t like the taste a lot.
Service was quick and the vibe of the place was quite cool with well done interiors.
Location of the restaurant is amazing, right in the heart of Kensington.
The Hungry Foodie
Food took more than 30 mins to arrive but tasted great. The halloumi wrap was generously filled and the humus was creamy. Funnily enough the best part of the meal was the perfectly crispy chips with garlic sauce.

Food was good with good portion sizes. Service was also ok considering how busy it was.
The tables are veryyyy close together and so makes it quite uncomfortable.
I had the chicken kofta which was nice , not as flavourful as I would’ve expected. I think there are better things on the menu that I could’ve tried.
Georgios Giasemidis
A nice option for dinner before or after an event at the Royal Albert hall. We got the mixed kebab and meze platter for two. Big portions. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was ok. Authentic eastern Mediterranean dishes.

Amazing food and drinks. The service was impeccable too. The restaurant is so beautiful, great ambience!! I highly recommend.

Excellent food especially the lentil soup. Packed, so noisy and hard to hear. Service brilliant quick, accurate and polite. Lots of vegetarian dishes. The mint tea excellent and weren't hurried out. Very nearly 5 star all round. Would come back.

I liked the food very much. It was a pleasant stay.

My reply to the question: How delicious is it? It appears to be perfect in the picture.
Delicious taste in every pieces.

I think it's one of my favorite restaurants in the entire London. I am a foodie, and so is my family. This place has the most delicious food. It's sooo good that we come back here regularly.
The mezze, their lamb burgers, their grilled fish, and really everything on the menu is AMAZING.
It's ALWAYS crowded, and there is a huge queue outside, if you love Lebanese good then I recommend to wait in the queue and get seated. The food is THAT good.

We had a fantastic family time at this restaurant. The decor is stunning and the food served swiftly and delicious. The kids loved it.

This was one of my most enjoyable meals in all of London! We passed by on our way to the British natural history Museum. Having looked inside before we went to the museum, I was certain that I wanted to try this place for lunch. I am so glad we did. The Mediterranean food was fantastic. Try the dish that has a hummus dip. It is really good but I cannot remember what it was called. Great staff, neat appearance of this cool cafe look from back in the day! Just an excellent experience all the way around. I was on vacation with my 18 year old son. He loved it too!!

Wow what a jem and a most delightful place to eat exquisite first class Libanais food, such pallete satisfying flavours, smells and colors it was a treat for all my senses and my friends and family agreed! Brightly decorated it has the feel of North Africa spot on with some whimsical British feature art. A great menu, prompt and friendly service even at a very busy time the atmosphere was of great joy and of relaxation after a busy day at London's museum's. Affordable and filling I highly recommend and guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Food and service both excellent. Tagine, wine and houmus all delicious and great value for money. Lovely, busy yet comfortable environment which encouraged good conversation. Even the slight mishap we had with the wine glass was swiftly dealt with and replaced with no fuss. Would definitely recommend if anyone is in the area.
Ramona Mastrodomenico
Went there yesterday for a dinner before the show at the Royal Albert all...well service was poor drinks were delivered without any sort of aknowledgment from the waiter who didn't even ask which drink was for who etc..the food was tasteless only the dessert was good. We have been served by 4 pp not knowing who really our server was. Anyway not going back.

Meze platter for two, totally vegan and totally delicious. I had a pomegranate cocktail, can't remember what it was called but I didn't like it. Loved the decor and ambience and the tables and chairs outside with heaters. I would definitely go there again.

Lovely tasting food - and a bit different
Affordable price (especially for central London)
Lively setting - busy with good service and (just enough) space between tables if you are out with mates ( not best for an intimate dinner!)
Great location for museums

Stopped for lunch before visiting the V&A around the corner.Tasty mezze platter for 2 with mint/rose tea, staff were very busy but still attentive 😀
Ruby Red
5 stars for the food which was delicious. Definitely one of the better Lebanese restaurants in London in terms of food however the staff were awful particularly the manager who was full of attitude.

Absolutely beautiful food and even though it was extremely busy we was well attended to at all times, this is a must visit

1st ever that I've tried Lebanese food n absolutely loved it. Went there this morning with my son as we had some time to kill. Don't know what I was expecting but was over in pressed with what we ordered. Next time we are in London we will be definitely coming back here. Next time we will try their lunch menu. Xx
Amanda Gerrard
The food was delicious, I had a breakfast and it's the best breakfast I have ever had, feta, advacado, tomatos ... delicious
Wanda Arden
Popped in for lunch before visiting the Science Museum. We were lucky to find a table straight away seeing as it was busy. Service was a little disorganised, but the great food made up for it. Loved the iced mint/rose drink. I'd definitely go back again.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of eating here whilst visiting London. I just love the bustling atmosphere, the quirky decor, the delicious food and of course the cool, refreshing beer!! Accompanied by the South Kensington sunshine and my closest family and friends, made for another perfect afternoon.
I shall return once more. ❤️
Russell Rees
jolly good. Brought the wrong wine and forgot the water, but food good.

Great looking cafe/bar , friendly informative service , colourful decor and food

Really lovely meal here last night. Popped in on way to Albert Hall. Staff really friendly. And helped us make good choices.

\\Had this super delicious Falafel wrap @comptoirlibanais in South Kensington. This place was on my list for a very long time and we finally went there yesterday 👫
.
.
We loved the meal but the overall experience was okayish. The tables were crammed together, so much so that my husband had to really struggle to get up 😂 Their seating arrangement could really use a new layout 🤭

* Great Food
* Amazing ambiance/decor
*Smiling staff

Went to London for vacations and just hoped in this Resturant just by chance, but, simple was amazed with the tase and quality of food and amazing service by the staff.
.
This place is just near the London Bridge metro station.
.
Can go back for this place any time.

As I write this review I am currently waiting for the main dish (2 Spicy Kafta Lamb) which was ordered more than 30 min ago. The restaurant it’s not even crowded, but there’s no one to take our order. Maybe it’s a disadvantage to eat outside.

Extremely Poor customer service.

Good Food in a lovely setting on Exhibition Road in South Kensington.
The portions are a bit small but the food is good and not very expensive compared to other places.
Recommended if looking for a Lebanese restaurant with a nice outdoor/indoor seating area!
Carolina Macedo
As tourist tried this restaurant as we were staying nearby! And must say I loved it! It was crowded that evening, food was great, the decoration is very colourful. Recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fresh lebanese flavours.
Shyamsunder Baskaran
I have had a chance to dine at both their South Kensington and Heathrow branches. Both the restaurant and the food are very colourful.

Drink - I recommend Roomana and Toufaha. Both have a refreshing taste.

The quintessential Lebanese falafel was quite up to its definition of being crisp on the out and soft on the inside. You can enjoy that with fresh hummus. For the mains we ordered an aubergine and yogurt dish and a halloumi dish. Finished with a Baklava platter.

Positives - location, decent portion size, good taste

Negatives- place tends to get crowded during evenings; impatient service
Ida
Being tourist in london and walking back from museum saw this place very crowded and walked in to have a tasty Lebanese dish..well, big disappointment...the tables are so small that u cant fit ur bag even...staff are careless and have to be reminded to make ur order...maybe its coz of the crowd..anyway i wasnt satisfied...
Alexis Lee Yue Xiu
Tasty, tasty, tasty - the mezze platters are a real treat. Bursting with flavour, texture, and colour, they're my favourite, with extra labne on the side, and a great meal for one. Honourable mention goes to the mint rose tea, which is delicious both hot and cold.
Vicky
My Lebanese friend went there for dinner. He ordered the Fattoush and sea bass with rice. The Fattoush lacked the Lebanese sauces and felt like a normal salad than a Fattouch salad. The main dish was AMAZING, taste buds were definitely satisfied! The service was not bad; a bit slow to be honest. It’s a bit over priced so it’s really neither pocket nor student friendly BUT THE SEA BASS WAS WORTH IT!

Conclusion: HIGHLY recommended Lebanese restaurant!
Mar S
Price not worth the quality or the amount provided. I got the lamb tagine and was surprised by the small dish brought forth for me- I would have paid probably a £7.99 max for it given the very average taste and small portion , however I was charged £10.99. This particular restaurant is always busy and not paying much attention to its customers or as a matter of fact to the quality of the food...it's a shame , as I love Lebanese cuisine but would opt for authentic Lebanese food next time 😑
WhereDoWeEat
Loved the food here
Ordered and would recommend the following
1. Chicken Kofta
2. Baklava
3. The potatos
4. All the coolers, etc
Do ask the staff for help, and expect to wait
Mohamed Kahwaji
It was very disappointing - we are Lebanese so we know what our food tastes like. The fattouch is bland, falafel was stale and the bread was not fresh. Juice was good, that's all. Very disappointing.
Khawla
I ate twice in it. It is average Lebanese restaurant. I liked fatta. I did not like there hallomi salad, taboola, or their falafel 🥙 location is good
Abdulla Alameri
it takes too much time to serve the food after asking for it for two times .... the food was good ... the staff werw friendly ... if you are concerned of halal food in london .. they serve halal .. 🤗
Tatiana Dias
It is not the best gastronomical experience, but it is good for a nice lunch out, especially on a sunny day!
Service is a bit rushed (makes you feel like you have to eat fast instead of enjoying), but other than that food is tasty and it is a good price given the spot.

We stayed outside, checking out the South Kensington scene.
Paresh Sharma
Nice place to be around... I tried couple of things which were very different for me but it was awesome.
Must try is falafal with hummus and chicken kofta... Also Lebanese beer was just too much for... It was overall great experience at this Lebanese joint
Nuno Marques
Good and different concept! Traditional Lebanese environment with good food quality ( the bread quality should be improved, it's not really Lebanese )!
ET Food Voyage
It’s not exactly cold now in England but it definitely isn’t warm and sunny anymore. That being said, we are missing the hot and sunny weather in Turkey immensely and suffering from severe travel blues. To cheer ourselves up, we decided to go have a nice brunch to motivate ourselves to settle back into the city life.
Parisa Kelly
What a delight plenty of outdoor seating the most amazing halva spiced hot chocolate and huge portion of delicious Lebanese food at reasonable cost. Service was slow but to be fair they were packed. The lemon lime and rose water lemonade is gorgeous. Love it!

As someone who thinks of Lebanese food as falafel and falafel only, I decided to visit this well-situated South Kensington establishment to see what I was missing from the country of Lebanon. To make things better, the weather was glorious and Comptoir Libanais conveniently has lots of outdoor seating - perfect for the nice weather.

So, let's start with the food. I decided to try the Sojok Tortilla while my friend opted for the Chicken Taouk wrap. The food came in good time and was reasonably well presented with a moderate portion of salad on the side. Well, the tortilla was certainly not the kind of 'tortilla' I was expecting (in fact it resembled a quiche more than the tortillas I'm used to) but I suppose this must be how it's eaten in Lebanon. It was reasonably tasty though quite bland compared to the taste explosion promised by its experience. The wrap looked more like I expected it to, and tasted decent too. Nothing special, but not terrible either. Also tried some Lebanese beer which was slightly generic and disappointing, but once again not terrible.

The staff weren't very friendly and seemed like they were on another planet. I had to state my order several times before they registered it, as they were distracted with something else happening.

The price is not cheap, but it's what you'd expect from the area so can't really criticise that.

It's alright to visit for once, wouldn't become a regular here though.
Reza Adil
Started off with a bang about 8 years ago and used to be quite reasonable priced but has gradually become a little too pricey by comparison. Good food, but not outstanding in anyway. Great if you want a wide sample of North African and Levant dishes without wowing at anything in particular. Nice deli atmosphere, best dish? Has to be couscous with chicken and olive tagine. Drinks are a bit watery rather than juicy but nice place to stop for a short foodie holiday.
Claudia.R Correia
I started by tasting the hommos with bread - which was good. As a main course I went for the chicken wrap with salad. It was okay but not soundly good.
The restaurant is quite crowded and the service is a little slow and not well organized but it is a good place to be with friends and there are many dishes I want to try.
I’m having a midweek ‘weekend’. I worked over the weekend, got two jobs in the post yesterday, expect more work at the end of the week, but was free to indulge a passion for art and food today by heading into central London this morning. I’m a Friend of Tate and with two big exhibitions at Tate Britain I wanted to see, it seemed the perfect place to go.
Anotherfoodblog
I went to Comptoir Libanais because they claim to serve a tagine. They also always a queue, and whilst I’m impatient and hate queues, I do place some trust in the wisdom of the crowd. This evening, my trust was misplaced. Comptoir Libanais is distinctly sub par. The queue was chaotic, with no real understanding of who was next, and when they might get a table. This annoyed me, so I pressed the staff for a table and got one quite promptly, but felt sorry for the others who were less firm. The queue was obviously broken.

Food was pretty good, unfortunately waiter serving us couldn't give a damn. He was rude and clearly wanted to be anywhere except at work. All the great food in the world won't make up for poor service.
Samantha Bruin
Delish!. Unique dishes. Entrees were a bit too salty, but otherwise solid food.
Alex22
Friendly Staff. On visit to London our party of six had
dinner here.Loved the food, the outside tables and especially our server who made us feel welcomed!
David Grawrock
Like it. First off, with outside seating in a busy area, this is a great spot to watch people as you dine. Makes up for lots of things in my book. Food was good. My lamb and plum tagine with couscous had a nice spice to it. Not hot but lots of flavor. I also had the potatoes and loved the garlic in them. Desert was the orange and almond cake with vanilla ice cream. Good finish to the meal.

Worst service. Worst restaurant ever! An overcrowded and dingy place..I ordered a platter..the lentil salad was smelling bad..when I told the waitress she said it is supposed to be like that! Finally when the bill arrived it has the 'Optional Service Charge' added to the bill. If it is optional then why was it added to the bill. I wouldnt have noticed it if I wasnt dissatisfied with the quality of the food. When I asked the waiter why is it already added to the bill, he said but the bill is there for you to see! So rude! Never again...there are so many better places around..

Comptoir Libanais is packed, elbow to elbow, with the hungry masses. It’s not a small place either, and outside is a jostling queue 20-strong and growing. Clearly people like the accessibility and fresh presentation of Comptoir’s brand of Lebanese food. After all, there aren’t many Middle Eastern restaurants that don’t operate as a shisha dispensary first and a restaurant second.

...decent lebanese down at south kensington. this place just opened recently and I’ve
wanted to come here for the longest time, mainly because the place is always
packed out – but then again what restaurant even slightly above average isn’t in the
area?

We ordered the burger for main to try something a bit different. The lamb was tender but slightly overcooked for our liking but the harissa mayonnaise that was smothered on top was delicious. The Lebanese fries were cubes of fried potato and we enjoyed dipped them into the garlic and chilli sauces that we asked for.

Comptoir Libanais review - originally posted on Eat the Olympics on 15th March 2012 Comptoir Libanais (Lebanon) When we arrived at Comptoir Libanais last Thursday, we were surprised to find the restaurant packed to the rafters at 6.30pm. Even from a distance outside, the first The portions were very generous so when the desserts arrived, we were unsure whether or not they would tip us over the edge. Luckily we had ordered the very light fat free frozen yoghurt and a few small pieces of baklawa. There wasn’t a strong flavour from the actual yoghurt itself but the honey and nut topping provided more than enough. The baklawa consisted of cashew nuts encased in flaky pastry. It was sweet and we only needed a few bites to satisfy our sweet tooths. we noticed was the colourful paraphernalia dispersed around the room. When we walked through the door, the explosion of colours and loud clientele made for a great first impression. We snagged a table for two next to the window and were left to di

Comptoir Libanais must be one of the most uplifting cafe-restaurants in London, as the bright colours and delicious aromas always awaken the senses when walking in Marylebone. Now, Comptoir, as it's affectionately named by those with a serious grilled meat habit, has opened a sister restaurant in the newly-pedestrianised area of Exhibition Road in South Kensington.

I went here with my cousin for lunch. I ordered a lamb tagine and she had cuscus. The food was delicious
.

The restaurant is very colourful, with lots of red chairs, patterned tiles and products on display, which can also be bought.

The restaurant provides outdoor seating and the inside was slightly overcrowded. However, it has a feel intimate ambiance during the evening emphasized by the lighting.

I was very uncomfortable as our table was very small and close to others. Service was slow and I had to check up with them about three times as to when our drinks would get to us.

I would only recommend you to go here when it is not busy.
Clara Patricia
Nice place to have Lebanese food however inside the restaurant can feel a bit overcrowded as you sit right next to someone else. The food is tasty and quite filling. Loves their humous and baba ganoush but they serves it with such small amount of bread that you'll have to order more bread.
Gabriella M
Comptoir Libanais is a decent lebanese restaurant, but their high prices cannot really be justified by the quality of their food. Although the atmosphere of the restaurant is great, the service is terrible and our experience was totally ruined by the attitude of the waiters. There is a myriad of waiters that work here but they are completely disorganized, we didn't seem to have one waiter that was attending our table. During the entirety of our meal we were trying to get the attention of waiters that were rushing around and that kept looking annoyed about our requests, even though we were just asking for additional dishes or more water.

The food itself is quite good although it is served in really small portions, so we kept underestimating how much we would want to eat and had to ask for more dishes a couple of times. The restaurant itself is decorated nicely with colorful pictures on the walls and colorful bags; which are on sale, adorning the restaurant. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with good food but I wouldn't come here again because of the way we were treated by the waiters and the price of the meal we had.

This restaurant was a great experience...first time in London, first time eating Lebanese food.I was with a group of friends from work from Portugal Spain and Sweeden. We are sharing experiences and stories, and nothing better that food that goes along with it. Tasty, varied, spicy, salty, sweet, hot...all that we expected on a rainy London night.

We also tried a funny thing, we told the waitress "Listen, we have a 150£ budget. So go for it!!!".
Result: she brought tons of food and wine...in the end we paid 150.8£, with 5 bootles of wine and amazing mango cheesecake, and we created a new story to tell in the next restaurant...The budget story!
Sandra Toivo
The food is served on funky small plates, and the atmosphere is really relaxed. The decor is very modern and the service is friendly. The food is traditional Lebanese, although I feel that the portions are a little small. It is more like meze or a good quality snack.

But you are bound to have a good experience.
Nouha Louedi
Le comptoir Libanais is a very decent lebanese place. The food is actually very good, I recommend to start with sharing some houmous and two other starters, I love when you get to share food in restaurants, it's a very pleasant way to eat with your friends. I then had a lamb and kofta tagine accompanied with couscous, which was delicious. Although I was stuffed, I could not resist the delicious lebanese treats.
This restaurant is very cheap , compared with what you get on the plate, you can have 3 courses for £20, and you leave happy and satisfied. And stuffed.
Manuela Fumarola
Comptoir was the first Lebanese restaurant I went to. And I liked so much the food that I became a loyal customer! I'm in love with this place.
At the entrance, there is always a long queue but the service is so efficient that you are never going to wait for long.

The first time, I had the "Dip Platter" and I am still wonder how they manage to make them so amazing - all my attempts at home were a failure! Anyway, I also asked for additional pita bread and at that point I was almost full. Obviously, it was not the same for my boyfriend so he insisted to try the Lamb Kofta and he was right. Trust me, even though I was almost full, I did not stop eating as it was so addicting. Anytime I go there, I always have the same two dishes. You should doubtlessly try it.

Really nothing to complain about this restaurant. Nice, colored and pretty cheap for the area.
Vishal Murthy
We decided to step in for lunch at Comptoir. Sole reason for this was that i spotted Tagine on their menu and there was an audience waiting to get in! I stand in line, get in, take a seat and go straight for the Tagine. A Lamb Kofta Tagine- very flavourful, nicely spiced tomato and pepper gravy. The only problem was the kofta or the meat balls which were a bit hard and separately cooked it seems, hence coudn't soak all the flavours of the gravy. You get an option of having the Tagine with rice or khus-khus. May i recommend rice, since it was fabulous!! Superb taste and such brilliant flavour , sauteed along with the vermicelli!
Next we tried was Grill Shish Taouk. Much like the chicken tikka, was mildly spiced. not bad. it's served with baba ganouj, which i must say was very nice.
Next came chicken Kofta. Don't be fooled by the name cos it's not a kofta, just a seekh kebab kind of a grilled a preparation served with the fantastic rice and baba ganouj. quite nice.
For dessert i tried the organic yoghurt with honey and roasted nuts. A lil less honey for a sweet toothed person like me, but not bad. I am dying to try the other dishes there!! njoy!

This restaurant should be on the list to visit for Lebanese food lover. A good restaurant with pleasing and colorful ambience serving authentic Lebanese cuisine. I would suggest this is an ideal place to go out for group lunch with your office colleagues and they serve some amazing mezze platter. There is good varieties of food which you can select from the menu plus they also have more veg items, which would not disappoint vegetarians as they always complaints of less veg items on menu. Drinks are also good in their menu especially Mira, Pomegranate lemonade, Laziza Raspberry, etc.

Most of the times this restaurant is busy during Lunch as its located close to lots of tourist attractions. The best part is that they have kept their menu simple but tasty food items are being served like tagines, grilled halloumi steak, hot and cold mezze and grilled items.

The best part of the restaurant is that its colorful surrounded with sheeshas. Just one complaint I have is that the speed of service is slow as usually it is crowed. But if they do some improvement then it would be a good overall dining experience for their guests

Delicious fresh food with strong flavours and a cheery atmosphere. The tea and desserts are also extremely light and delicious. Be sure to have the rose and mint tea, at least one kibbeh and everything on the Mezze platter! A really run lunch!
David Sketchley
Small and busy with a vibrant atmosphere. Great place to fuel up between museums.

There was a triumvirate of birthdays in our office this month, two of which were 30th birthdays, so in a nod to their new-found maturity, we decided to go for dinner instead of heading to the pub [at least, straight away]. More than a few of us are vegetarians so we picked Comptoir Libanais as they seemed very veggie-friendly.

We got there at just after six and there was a little confusion about our table as it appeared there was an old man sitting on it, but we realised there was slightly less of us than we had booked for, so we managed to avoid the awkwardness of one of our number having to sit opposite this guy.

The service had a few hiccups - they got my cocktail wrong (in their defence, they had two very similar-sounding drinks, hence the confusion) but they also brought the wrong dish out at first for the birthday boy of the group.

However, that didn't honestly detract from our enjoyment of the meal. Choosing a dish was pretty difficult as it all sounded so good. Tagines, wraps, hot and cold mezes. I knew I wanted lamb, but in what form? Finally I went for the lamb kofte wrap platter which gave me the chance to get some pickles and some hummus with it. And most of us added the batata harra - cubes of fried potatoes with chilli, coriander, red pepper and garlic.

These were amazing! Crispy, fully infused with all the described flavours - way better than a bowl of chips.

I really enjoyed my wrap too, there was a good amount of filling, the lamb was well seasoned. My only gripe would be that there wasn't enough hummus on the side - I would have liked more for the flatbread I was left with at the end, and also to dip my potatoes in!

The place is kinda funky and colourful and the prices are really reasonable. It's a great place to go with a group of friends.
Claire Bradbury
The staff can be a little hit and miss here, but if you aren't put off by their lack of smiles then Comptoir can be good fun! I've been here many times for group lunches - this is one place you need to be prepared to cosy up to your dining mates. The menu has a good selection of simple, yet tasty mezze plates and tagines and the pomegranate lemonade is deliciously refreshing. Lunch time is invariably busy due to the proximity of the museum precinct, but you can enjoy a drink and some people-watching outside while you wait.

I love Lebanese food. So I was definitely going to try out this restaurant. The food is good. They also have good options to choose from. I ordered a falafel wrap and I was a little disappointed by the food. The falafel was very dry and there was no accompaniment either. Also the seating was very uncomfortable. All the tables are put really close to each other so it's not a very private affair. The hot chocolate was really good so that did brighten me up. Overall average experience.
