Proper fast food presented in an American fast food way! You get this American feel about this place upon walking in. I’m not sure if it was just me, but the guy that served me had a slight American accent too (don’t know if it was genuine or just to add to the American feel)! It worked well though! Food was amazing, customer service was on point and food came quickly but wasn’t rushed. I will visit again soon!

I ordered a double cheeseburger and fat fries and a strawberry milkshake :
The cheeseburger was full of goodness, and the fat fries was robust but not overpowering. When my burger arrived, my expectation continued to be exceeded.
The fries was crisp, flavorful, and chewy. The burger worked together beautifully. The milkshakes were packed with flavor, and strawberry flavour had a great consistency By the end of the meal i was planning my next visit. The staff was very welcoming and smiling very nice can’t wait to pop again,

HALAL burgers which are the closest thing I’ve tasted to a Big Mac in-time! Burgers are great and moist, can be stacked and come with crisp salad (not your horrible limp stuff you get in some places). Curly fries where tasty and if you have subscription with them you get discounts/free burger on your birthday! Really nice place to visit before heading off to explore Camden!

The food here is gorgeous. I ordered a fat burger with skinny fries, and the meat was succulent along with the toppings that were delightful altogether. I also found the boneless hot wings to be succulent and flavoursome.
It's quite affordable too! The staff are nice, it's very clean. Next time im down Camden defo going back here!

So the quad burger. Is it messy, yes. Is it a challenge, yes. But is it fun, yes. Is it a worthwhile experience, yes. It might not be the most high end quality juicy burger, but it quantity has a quality all of it's own. The chicken wings are also good. It is worth noting that the lettuce burger is a gluten free burger for those who like a meat burger without bread.

First time I had been here as got a Groupon deal and I must say its gotta be up there with one of the best burgers I have ever had, I also loved the curly fries and look forward to going back soon.
Glourious Food
Great burger with flavours and definitely try the wings and onion rings. Service could be a little more faster but hey its still alright.

Definitely one of the best burgers in my life. Of course I'm not talking about craft gourmet sort of thing. It's very balanced. The meat itself is juicy and well spiced. My highlight is definitely the spicy curly fries. Simply amazing. Price wise is not the cheapest, but it's worth buying it.

Not a burger person but have been testing out and reviewing a few burger joints of late to see if I can be swayed. Well Fatburger didn’t disappoint. The burger was quite lean and very tasty although at risk of being overcooked. It’s a little bit and miss which is why I can only give a 4 star rating. I like that you can select each component for your burger from a clear list. I should mention, it’s all Halal too. I also tried the chicken wings one portion with bones and one portion boneless, in honey garlic and Cajun dry rub. Both were quite nice and sometimes nice is just enough. They do an amazing Reeses peanut butter milkshake which I thoroughly recommend. It’s not far from the canal which is a lovely place to sit and eat if the weathers right, but the inside of the restaurant is ok and has a few tables and booth seating.

Fantastic place for halal burgers and relaxed seating it does get busy though. New challenge for a picture on their wall of fame... Not massively unachievable to be fair.

Good Burger place. Not the best but probably in the top 20 Londons. wings are great but not like the original in the states. Shakes a bit too sweet
Very friendly staff and nice interior

Not cheap by any means, but proper quality tasting burgers, cooked slightly pink. Fries were crisp, fluffy, hot and not greasy. Milkshakes are great - and the onion rings were fabulous!

The worst burger place I have been to. The beef burger had no flavour, the salad filling didn't look or taste fresh. The bun is so light it hardly holds the burger together. Plus there buffalo wings tasted absolutely rotten literally. U won't get any ice with your drink which is already 2/3 diluted with water. The price is unjustifiable, I've had better food in woody grill for exact price. Very poor service with a long waiting time Very poor.

The challenge is just a joke!! When you order the burger they ask you if you want cheese on it! What kind of burger is that without cheese!?
The 6 patties of meat so thin and dry had to put on lot of chilli sauce to down it down.
The staff didn't came ones to ask us how is our meal! Waist of time this place!!

This shold be zero stars but I was not able to do do that. I just visited the Fatburger in camden and ordered the Veggy burger with cheese and Egg. I got my burger and found it had chilli ontop (the beef chilli!) I complained to be told by the manager that It had no lumps of meat so it is fine but they can remake it if I want...He also added I was not a real veggy as I asked for a egg and cheese on my burger! I then asked for a full refund on my meal as I did not trust the food they would make for me. I then had to argue about why I wanted a refund on my chips and drink aswell as the burger after asking for a full refund on my meal. Very unacceptable if you ask me! I can't believe the way the Manager reacted to this and the fact they would not check before putting a meat sauce on a veggy burger

The right place for the burgers! New management & staff customer services rocked would recommend it.

No the same place as i went to in a LA. Was expecting alot better. Bit of a scam on chicken tenders....cheaper to buy a portion of 4 and 8 rather than 12. Why? Burger just ok. Menu too cluttered.

Superb food, best place to eat in town. Highly recommended for delicious

This place is a must visit. I did the XXX Challenge and honestly it wasn't a Challenge! The burger is full of taste with three different cheeses it's epic! Also the fact that it's halal is magnificent. Slight downside and disappointing I ordered curly fries the quantity was ridiculously small I mean it was literally 5 curly fries far far to small. I came all the way from Northampton to see what fatburger was like and overall I will give it 9/10 bigger portion of curly fries and it would have surpassed 10/10. Go visit fatburger 10 Jamestown road in camden you won't be disappointed with the XXXL burger. They also do epic milkshakes. :)

£38 for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 cokes plus some chicken tenders. Absolute joke, burger wasn't anything to write home about, it was hot but I've had better from McDonald's Signature menu only redeeming thing was the chicken tenders and having Frank's hot sauce as a condiment. Nothing like the FatBurger I've had in USA/Canada or other places, which is a shame as I really enjoy FatBurger in America. Still, I'll try again soon, maybe it was just the day I went, wasn't very busy.... maybe 2/3 tables being sat at, staff did spend a lot of time talking - other reviews have noted that too.

Most excellent burger joint close to Camden Town tube station but away from the grime of Camden High Street. Well designed interior and a chilled out place to hang out. Try the Turkey burger with Swiss cheese.
Tanvir Haque
Wanted to have buffalo wings wasn't available only tenders they were overpriced and a waste of money. Didn't come with carrots and sauces of choice of dip i told the lady she took it back and got the 2 dips but not the ones I asked for it was cold I didnt bother eating. No service at all. All you see is delivery drivers staring at your food lol burger patty is nice overpriced still. Orderd chilli cheesy chips no chilli was available.cheesy chips 1* curly fries was good. The Coke is good unlimited. Chicken burger no cheese no Mayo very dry. Was my 3rd visit won't be going back there again. Overall not as good as the 1st and 2nd time. Bad experience this time especially when I took my family.

Pretty poor food for the price. This place is way too expensive, the fries were crispy to the core with no soft center, just a shell. The burger had way too much salad filling, particularly lettuce, wasn't necessarily bad but the patties had little to no flavour. I was really looking forward to this place but left disappointed.
Sheri Taki
Very nice place. Friendly staff and super delicious burger. It is a must restaurant to visit
Aiza Muqadas
It was OK but little bit on the pricey side. Once is enough never come here. Try Franzo in Ilford lane or Big Moe's etc far better then this.

Fantastic, fresh, wonderfully seasoned burgers. Just as I remember them years ago in Los Angles. It's even worth dealing with Camden Town to get there ;) Will definitely return!

Hands down best gourmet burger ever!! Amazing!!!!!

Fantastic food and great service, enjoyed my meal very much X

went back here tonight to give it a second chance! fries didnt taste of anything, burger tasted very plain, and cost £10.50 that was without a drink. Dont think this place will be going much longer if they dont change things!

We used a Groupon and enjoyed 2 meals. I agree paying the full price is a bit silly. We had a double burger each, I opted for cheddar cheese and egg as extras, fat chips and a bottomless drink (help yourself from the machine). The burgers were very satisfying. They look and taste like real meat, not a frozen patty. Fillings were juicy and fresh. Chunky chips were ok and bottomless drinks a bit funny, I think they had too much syrup. The service was exceptionally nice and polite. We are fans of Dubai branch of this institution and shared with the staff who were suitably impressed. I would go again if there was an offer on, the meal filled me up for 24h! ❤️🍔

I used to go here quite regularly but one time my burger came with burnt bacon. I mentioned this politely to the waitress and she just shrugged and said, "Well I didn't cook it," before walking off which I thought was dismissive and didn't solve the problem.

Complained online about the quality and service and was promised vouchers that never arrived despite me querying their whereabouts. Food is normally okay but overpriced and the service is slow. ("You can't hurry perfection!" warn the signs.)

Now I go next door to Byron Burger where the food is great, prices reasonable and service quick and friendly.
Sheryll
As much as the burgers here are really nice, they are still just a burger joint, so the prices are just that bit too high in my opinion.
The sauces should be bottled up and sold though as they are great, you have to have chicken wings if you are visiting purely for the sauce (the wings themselves are tiny)
When I was there the guys serving was lovely, so enthusiastic, so they should make sure they keep him, he almost made me forget I was being ripped off for the food
Courtneylwillis
I was expecting a lot more from this place. Very dissatisfied - food looks better than it tastes. Shake is made from cheap ice cream, ketchup is cheap and the quality does not merit the price.

There was some time to kill before my Naked & Famous concert so I headed into the seemingly busy – and popular – Fatburger in Camden Town. As it was Tuesday, there was a special promotion with an extra patty with any burger. Yes! I went for the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (£6) and a side of the fat fries (£2). But disappointment! There was about a 12 minute wait for the food and when it arrived it looked good, but it did not taste good. The chicken has a crispy, fried crunch and inside was meat, but it was bone dry with not a single sense of a juice. More mayo (or even lettuce, dare I say) was desperately needed. And the fries also suffered the same issues, it was dry and a hard eat. I might consider trying the beef, but otherwise I’m content with skipping and getting my fatstomach elsewhere.
Fabs
I had so much high hopes for this place but honestly my double burger was so dry I had to wash it down with my coke :( The boneless chicken was absolutely amazing and I loved the sauce on it too! Also it was unreasonably priced!
On The Chopping Board
On The Chopping Board (OTCB) was recently invited to Fatburger to try out some of their menu items. All food and drink was provided free of charge. One of our #OTCBontourer's was in London and was able to visit Fatburger UK. Fatburger is an LA-based burger chain serving burgers in several sizes, plus other classic fast-food options. It was founded in 1947 after World War II and started off as a popular hamburger stand in South Los Angeles. It now has various shops all around the world.
Extreme Kaos
It was an astronomical, overpriced value for such a poor burger.
We popped in to that place while passing by, as we were very hungry and in rush. It looked decent and inviting from outside. It was a terrible mistake. Don't judge the book by the cover.

We paid £22 for the meals. Each meal included cheeseburger, fries and medium coke.
(Just the burger only costs £6).
Burger patty was very thing and was falling apart. It is even difficult to describe what it was. Some kind of "uneven" texture, crumbling, greasy piece of thin meat pancake.
The meat also lacked any flavour despite salt.
The chips were dry and tasted like frozen that were roasted in the oven.

Also, once we ordered and tried to sit down, we realized that the whole place was trashed. There were trays with junk left almost on every table. We had to clean our table to make space. Despite that I don't understand this primitive inconsiderate mentality of living junk after eating, especially when you have appropriate bin 1 metre away from you, there is no excuse for the staff to ignore the trash. There were 2-3 waitresses walking around with little to do and non of them bothered to clean. Even McDonalds or Burger King tend to be cleaner.

This burger was not worth more than £3 and the whole meal no more than £4.
Me and my friend were very upset. We would have had a more tasty and cheaper meal in simple fastfood like Burger King. Such a waste of money and bad experience.
Boozy Bunch
Last night a few members of the blog experienced one of the most disappointing and expensive meals of our friendship. So disappointing, in fact, that I announced midway through ‘let’s leave, I want chicken’. But we didn’t, we stayed and finished the meal and then headed out into the night in search of better. Well, if not better then cheaper and more satisfying.
End Of The Fork
I love these burgers. The patty is always well cooked and the bun is good. I don't care much for the beef bacon, but the salad is fresh and sauces are tasty. You can get chicken wings in various grades of chilli heat, on the bone or boneless. The Cajun and Hot are tasty. Fries are so-so, but you can get them with mince beef and melted cheese over the top, which jazzes it up a bit. Service is friendly but not terribly fast. Lost a few points as whenever we go (including in the winter) there are tiny flying insects in the restaurant.

Visited Last night. They have a special on Tuesday where you can double up your burger, great idea and seems very popular. Too much for me but my boyfriend ordered a "Quad" burger. It was massive, he polished it off eventually though. I had a single Fatburger and a peanut butter milkshake. Food was good and service was friendly. Well be back

Visited with a friend on the weekend thanks to a recommendation. The restaurant was about 3/4 full and we had to order at the counter. There was a small queue but this moved quite quickly. We had read the menu while waiting but when we arrived the server explained the burger options, sides and sides. I ordered a Double Fatburger with Cheese and Bacon, my friend ordered a single Fatburger and we ordered some Asian Sesame "boneless" wings to share.
We were told that the food was cooked to order and would be about 10 minutes We took our order number and sat down. The food arrived on time, the burger was hot and tasted fresh. The double burger filled me up! It was moist and well seasoned and the toppings complimented the taste. I had a small bite of the wings as I was so full but both myself and my friend thought they were awesome!. Was a good experience, would definitely be back!

It is rare that I give 5 stars but this place 100% deserves it! Friendly service, amazing menu and food came out fast despite restaurant being over 50% full. The cookies and cream milkshake is to die for.

Loved my Fatburger experience! You can tailor your burger to exactly how you want it. For fussy kids, perfect, as you don't end up pulling bits out as I do in MacDs!

Having been to the US many times before, this is the closest you can get to a true American burger experience. Food very tasty, and the chicken wings are out of this world. So many dips to choose from, would cover everybody's tastes.

The best bit of the whole meal.... The milk shake. One of the best milk shakes I have ever tasted.

Highly recommended!

Superb veggie burger; much better than the 'vegetable' or mushroom versions at some burger places, loved the fat fries too. The peanut butter cookie milkshake is the best I've ever had !
I'm glad this is on Deliveroo too :)

Shocking. Lets start from the beginning, had to wait ages to be served. Only one till was open at a peak time of 6.30pm, Even though me and a friend spotted 5-7 members of staff around, yet the second till was left unmanned, whilst a que built. When we finally did get served we received no apology or reason for the long wait, Just met with a rather odd, Impolite member of staff who I could liken to the character 'Ali G', Fairly sure senior staff will know who im referring too.

As we sat down we noticed how dirty the place looked, The on table condiments looked filthy. To top this off there were tons of tiny flies around! I dont mean one or two, It seems as if they have an infestation problem somewhere. We even moved seats but there were flies there too. We even saw other customers fighting them off! The resturant itself looks like it once was a lovely looking place that has let standards slip and hasnt been taken care of.

We sat for roughly 15/20 before the first meal came, as with any normal resturant we were expecting our to come at the same time. Unfortunately not, After roughly ten minutes later, we saw my meal in a tray by the kitchen waiting for a staff member to pick it up, We watched it for a few minutes until someone eventually did, walked right up to us and ignored our table number, and walked it right back to the counter by the kitchen. Me and my friend where puzzled, I had to go up there myself and tell them my order number which was clearly displayed on the table. They brang the food over and granted I received an apology.

Now onto the food. It was all lukewarm by the time I received it. I had a double burger with added cheese, and yep its £1 extra for cheese.. In a beef burger.. Yes, in a beef burger the cheese is a paid 'upgrade'. Anyway, The burger overall was very very dry. Patties dry, flavourless & bland. Even the cheese was dry! It was melted onto the patties but it wasnt soft and melty, It was actually dry and hard! This may be because they left my food sitting for so long, or it was some kind of cheese im not familiar with. Overall bland dry and flavourless. Had to add the cheese sauce I got with my wings just to give the burger some flavour! The fries where equally as bad, Luke warm on my tray and half where fried to a crispy shell of a fry, The other half felt chewy and powdery as if they where re-fried old chips. The wings have a wide range of marinades which was nice to see. We had a mix of four, Flavour wise I cant fault them, They had tasty sauce on them. The actual wings themselves where stupidly tiny, about a mouthful on each one.

Overall final thoughts, We paid £20 each for this pleasure, I could have gotten better food & service at my local burger joint for a quarter of what I paid. Expected a whole lot more for that price, Especially as we trekked halfway across london to try this place out. The fact I have written a review out due to my experience, Which I have never done or ever felt compelled to do before says it all. This place appears to have potential but big, big changes need to be made. Wont be making another visit.

Yes, I jumped on the band wagon that rolled into town. There has been a massive push on Instagram and twitter about the newly opened FatBurger. I tend to give it a month before a make a visit to a new restaurant, but since Ramadan is fast approaching, I had to get a visit in quick. I ordered the double FatBurger meal (2 beef patty’s) with no mustard, added cheese. Nothing else, as I don’t like over eating and felt that a burger and chips would be enough. Price was £13.50First of all. This place is fast food. It’s not gourmet, but for some reason has gourmet prices. Food wise, this place seems hit on miss, however on the day I liked my burger. Here’s what liked. The burger is cooked on a hot flat grill. My preferred method of cooking. The burger it self was good, it reminded of a McDonald’s or BK Whopper that I had while on holiday or even Hardees in Saudi. It was layered well, fresh ingredients. A simple burger, the bun was toasted and cooked which made it soft.

One of few places which serve halal beef burgers and beef bacon. It's bit pricey but I can understand why it's expensive as it's difficult to source halal beef. Burgers can be a bit dry so chose your toppings and sauces wisely.

Also try their chicken wings it's not bad either!!

Great service, great product and an all around experience that I will go back for.

From the moment you walk and in and are greeted with "Welcome to Fatburger" to the free refills the overall level of good customer service is fab. I was told the burger (rancheros) would take 10/15 minutes as the food is all cooked fresh to order and isn't frozen which was super reassuring

The curly fries were great the franks hot sauce on the table was great BUT WAIT FOR IT

THE MILKSHAKES....Oh my word we had a oreo one and a recees one! SO SO nice! Worth the trip to camden alone, my colleague wanted to eat halal and this provided that so he was happy to!

FatBurger | Rancheros
.
Choose one, two or three patties. Mayo, lettuce and your choice of hot sauce. Then top it off with a fried egg! Also available as a Boca.

American style burger joint in Camden. The first FatBurger in the UK and let's hope it's the last.
The burger was dry and bland and I'm not the only one who's saying this, my friends and family were saying the same.
A lot of people including myself were looking forward to this place, but we were sadly disappointed.
The chips were good and just needed a little salt.
This place was very overpriced, I felt I was robbed. I ordered a triple patty burger (which wasn't even that big), small portion of boneless chicken bites, side of chips and two bottles of water (was very thirsty). The bill came up to £28.50. Try other gourmet burger joints as you'll get quality and quantity for a reasonable price. .

Not really sure what the point of FatBurger is. With Byron literally next door serving juicy cooked to order patties there's no conceivable reason why anyone should bother going here. Unremarkable dry overcooked pieces of beef in an uninteresting bun, I've been so you don't have to.

Nothing else, as I don't like over eating and felt that a burger and chips would be enough. Price is £13.50

First of all. This place is fast food. It's not gourmet, so won't be compared with such places.
So what did I think? I liked my burger. Here's what liked. The burger is cooked on a hot flat grill. My preferred method of cooking. The burger it self was good, it reminded of a McDonald's or BK Whopper that I had while on holiday or even Hardees in Saudi. It was layered well, fresh ingredients. A nice simple burger, the bun was toasted and cooked which made it soft. However, the meat patty wasn't very filling. The flavours came from the layers of ingredients in the burger, the meat patty did lack a natural beefy taste. Its a fast food burger. People need to remember this.
The other plus points - Service. Very good for fast food. Friendly staff that help you figure out the choices you have. Free refills. Nice touch. Presentation of food is appealing as well.
My main issue is the pricing. A single burger costs more than a big Mac meal. Okay, so of course for Halal eaters, no concern. But i think it's too much. I will make the price comparison to a gourmet burger, lets say loaded or proper burger, a burger there with a 8oz patty costs around £7. At Fatburger a double patty is £10.

So for me, this doesn't represent good value at all. I don't see the justification in a burger that costs £10 - particularly when its a fast food semi processed beef patty, not made fresh on site.
I will be interesting to see how this place does after the halal boom dies down.
The scores are in... Food 5/10
Value 3/10
Service 7/10
Presentation/decor 6

Fatburger seems to have flown under my radar. I had no idea it was even open until my friend suggested we eat there when we went to Camden Rocks. I was happy to check the place out.

It's very McDonaldsesque - cheerful and plasticky. It's thing is the size of the burgers I think - single, double or triple depending on how 'fat' you want to get. And the workers are like an army - orders are shouted over to the kitchen and they shout back in affirmation. 'Two fatburgers!' TWO FATBURGERS! comes the reply. Bit weird.

Neither my friend or I like burgers - she's a veggie and I'm just not into them. So she got the tofu ranchero burger and I got the cajun chicken. You can add cheese, bacon or eggs for another quid each and they also have various toppings (like jalapenos or onions) for free. Each burger comes with a set selection of toppings. The ranchero comes with an egg and hot sauce, the cajun comes with jalapenos. I added cheese and onion and got a side of curly fries. My friend added onion and jalapenos to hers and got chunky chips. We shared some onion rings.

There was quite a wait until the food arrived. Mine was exactly what I ordered but it was just a bit 'meh'. The chicken was rather dry, meaning I had to add ketchup to make it taste better. For some reason the onions are diced so they just fall out. The curly fries were only just warm and were positively rubbery by the time I finished my burger. Worst curly specimens I've ever had. The onion rings were tastier but incredibly greasy.

My friend's burger was a bit of a disaster - they had forgotten the jalapenos and onions she'd ordered and had given her mayo when she didn't want any. She took it back and it was replaced (and we were given some piping hot skinny fries to make up for it) but the replacement version had no egg. She couldn't be bothered to complain again.

I am used to paying 10 pounds for a burger and fries in London but I expect them to be a bit more special than these were.
