Gave The Hampshire a second chance and it was a great experience this time. Service by David was excellent and we took his recommendations which didn’t disappoint. Nice outdoor area perfect for all fresco dining on a warm evening. We will come back for sure.

Absolutely amazing food! Every dish was soooo delicious and colourful. There are so many Indian dishes I've never encountered in other Indian restaurant. Great atmosphere and service. Great value for money.

My sister and I were here for a late dinner in September to eat at their spacious outdoor seating area behind the restaurant. Over the years, The Hampshire has had varied menus and “lives” from Gastropub to now Garden Restaurant Bar & Shisha. This most recent iteration did not disappoint, with an inspired menu of both classic Indian dishes, more trendy street food, and an inventive Cocktail menu. The food was fresh and really delicious - absolutely 5 stars! I only took off one star as the service was a bit slower than I would’ve liked for how quiet it was when we were there.

It’s hard to imagine that they serve Indian cuisine as from the outside it looks like a modern pub. They have a lovely terrace for alfresco dining at the back. The food was good, the lassi was quite ‘yoghurty’ rather than fruity, the service was a bit unpolished but overall a good experience.

This beautiful restaurant near Hammersmith Station is a must visit in London. Authentic delicious Indian food, refreshing vibes, outdoor garden, variety of cocktails, and Shisha... they have it all. The lovely couple who owns this place make you feel like home. We simply love this place.

Have passed by this place many times and finally decided to try it with the family after a long day. What a treat it was - beautifully decorated and the ambience was lovely and warm. The family who own it were exceptionally welcoming and we had recommendations of what their own young children loved which was also a hit with ours. The fish wrapped in banana leaf was cooked to absolute perfection and everything else was delicious too. We’ll be back to try the outdoor courtyard when it’s warmer.

Really enjoyed my evening at The Hampshire. Food was amazing, so were the drinks. Would love to go back again to try the Shisha. Love the concept and ambience.

Amazing, thanks for our friend Stuart recommending this place. Food was super and delicious, I highly recommend the okra fries and the poppadoms to share. For mains we had chicken masala and chicken Biryani all of which were amazing along with pilau rice and a garlic bread basket. Staff were also very friendly. Loved the atmosphere definitely will come back again soon...

My family and I went to this Indian Restaurant for lunch. It was excellent and truly deserves five stars. The waiter Anwar did an excellent job and he deserves five stars. I loved the chicken curry, best I every had. I highly recommend going. The garlic naan bread excellent.

Incredible! Found on the off chance and couldn't fault it. Food was to the highest standard, beautifully presented and full of flavour. One of the best Indians I've ever had. Staff extremely friendly and tentative. Great atmosphere and a beautiful venue. Love the option of sitting in the garden. Very reasonable prices and great choice of food. Highly reccomend!

A review which is long overdue. We've eaten at The Hampshire since it changed from the 'Hog' and started producing quality Indian food.
The garden is significantly better than the previous incarnation.
Srini and his team are very hospitable and the various different dishes we continue to try and consistently excellent, we need to visit again soon!

Amazing, nothing less than praise for this place. We came by chance here and what looked like a regular pub turned out to be an Indian feast. We hadn’t booked but the place is so big that they can easily accommodate for any size. Food was super delicious, I highly recommend the lollipop chicken for starters alongside the okra fries. For mains we had a masala, a jalfrezi and a madras; all of which were amazing along with pilau rice and a bread basket. In my personal opinion the curries could be a touch spicier but I like my stuff very spicy. They also serve Indian Cobra beers. Staff were also very friendly and attentive, service super speedy. Loved the vibe and will definitely come back over the summer to check out the garden.

My friend booked this restaurant as it is local to her, we had a lovely meal. I have a food allergy and when we advised them the chef came to our table to advise what I could have and he also suggested some other options. We chose one of his opinions it was amazing 👏. The food was amazing the staff were very attentive and friendly 😋 really good food, I would recommend this restaurant 😋 😀 👌.

Best indian food in the borough! Family business built with lots of love. The dishes are very nice, we are regulars with the family. the metre is the best and the overall experience is fantastic.

Amazing experience at The Hampshire. The service was impeccable, very friendly and personable. The food might be the best Indian I’ve had in London - starters were all incredible (especially the chaat) and the palak paneer and butter chicken were sensational. It’s definitely not a cheap night out with drinks, but for food of this quality then I don’t really mind.

I need to come back again to refine my rating. So far so good. Tasty curry. Plenty of space. Have to see it when it's busy too.

We came with many friends and kids and had an excellent meal and lovely time in the beautiful garden today.
Our meal was delicious - we had so many things from all across the menu from the samosas and various types of naan to aloo and chana, palak paneer, baingan bharta and different lamb dishes (kadai gosh and vindaloo) - the chicken lollypops were a surprise fave, but everything was excellent - even the chips for the littles.
We had kids from 2 months to 4.5, and they were a bit chaotic following a birthday party and fun fair, but the whole staff was truly great about them running around in the garden.
We had visited the pub for a drink earlier in the year and made a note to come back, and I’m so glad we did. We used to visit The Hampshire (Hog) a bunch pre-lockdown, and I’m happy to say the new owners have made it even better than before. Can’t wait to come back sans kids for a great date night.
Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back.

Cosy, lovely place for dinner. Great food and cocktails (241 when we went). Brilliant service. New owners took over in March 2020 and the place looks great. The dinner menu is now Indian food, and it is great quality. We both had the butter chicken and garlic naan with pilau rice.
We were served by Valentino, he was friendly and attentive and had great recommendations.
They have got good precautions in place to comply with Covid safe rules. They separated the tables very well, and had plenty of hand sanitizer at the entrance and in the bathroom. All staff wore masks at all times. We felt very safe.

Pleasant little dining room out back for lunch with hit and miss food.

Hit: burger is ok (no nicer than a standard pub burger but you're paying for the nice experience innit)

Hit: Pork cheek, very good

MISS: the salads. My m8 got a salad as a main and it was the most sorry thing I've seen. Couple of wheels of cheese and then loads of springy bushy salads drenched in dressing. AVOID

Nice-ish place tho, not really worth the money but west London waste cadets haven't figured out/bothered to notice it's sub par and so it seems to keep going.

Might be comparatively good (coz ur in Hammersmith) but a little underwhelming overall.

A very nice and cosy setting, with a sense of order within their mismatch decor that was very pleasing. apart from the indoor dining area they have a large courtyard space that would be great for the summer.

We had the homemade pasta which was made very well with really rich tomatoes. along with their lunch special which is a really good deal (10£ for a starter + soup of the day) We had the octopus & the pumpkin soup which was a very healthy choice to have. overall a good experience.
Mr Dinner Date
The Sunday Lunch is the omnipresent meal. Seasons come and go, the tide goes in and out, but come 1pm on a Sunday, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be chowing down to the British classic. And restaurants have got it tough for Sunday lunch because, like few other meals, Sunday lunch is Mum territory. The first roast potatoes you get to eat are Mum’s roast potatoes. The first gravy the ran down your chin was eaten at the dining room table next to grandma, not at a poncy restaurant.

Had a lovely meal here, good food and big portions! Nice garden for summer evening's and is decorated with fairy lights. We booked but on a Sunday evening it was actually surprisingly quiet. Our only negative was the new waiter...clearly he hadn't started long but he struggled to understand English, not knowing simple drinks or understanding our food order, however he tried more than hard enough to ensure we were having a good night. I would go back as am keen to try out more of the menu's offerings.

Bad Food & Over Priced - Nice Garden / Friendly Staff. The £14 (£15.75 after service) Hand Made Burger Was Awful. Yes, I Did Say £14. For That Money It Should’ve Been The Best I've Ever Had. And If It Was, I Would Be Happy To Pay £14. But It Sucked! I Have Tried A Few Other Dishes There And They Were Also Expensive And Very Poor For The Price Charged. I Would Rather Starve Than Eat There Again. The Staff Are Nice, Shame About The Rest. I Advise You To Check The Price Before You Order Anything. Or Better Yet, Just Don’t Go!

The menu is a bit confused, both in terms of lacking a location or focus and also adding in some quite odd combinations. Dashing between Asia, Greece, the Netherlands and England just for the starters is fine but you need an overriding theme to a place. We chose a 3 fish terrine to share as a starter combining smoked salmon, mackerel and cod. With pickled vegetables and toast. The plating was pretty sparse and unappealing, the vegetables’ appearance made me laugh with half a carrot and half a cherry tomato face down. And the terrine looked neat

The pub itself has been beautifully decked out, helped out by the lovely high ceilings and huge windows. All in all, it was a fantastic evening, certainly worth the long trip from Hackney. In the interest of fairness I must mention that my meal was complementary.
Grumbling Gourmet
manages to channel Jamie Oliver and Laura Ashley at the same time, but the shabby chic rustic air of a country tea room is likely only to fool those who haven't left zone 2 for a very long time. It's a radio edit Mumford & Sons sort of place...

A good place to hag out.. I had a good meal. I asked for non oily stuff and I was given plenty options to choose from. The waiting staff had a good knowledge about the food. Being a foodie I would be back again.
