We’ve celebrated the Christening of our son in August at the Rushmere and I definitely recommend this restaurant for any family / friends event. Not only the food is amazing (we had a delicious buffet) but the team is truly amazing and caring! Karen, the manager has been very kind and helped us to tailor our event with a specific menu, and Sarah the assistant manager has been a super star before and on the day of the event. I will definitely come back to this pub for any occasion. Thank you to all the team at Rushmere! You’ve made this day so special ❤️

This pub is fantastic for large groups/private parties. I host a monthly wine event at the Rushmere and the space is perfect for us. The staff is very accommodating and professional. The space is very comfortable for us all. The food is great. The drinks are inventive and delicious. The gin selection is great. And the beers on tap are flavourful, not just basic beers.
Really recommend for a place in the village to host your event or party. It's got a great vibe without being on the main path.

I have been hosting The Mum Club Wimbledon events at The Rushmere for over a year now. From brunch clubs, to coffee clubs to evening events too. The pub is decorated so well, inside and out!
Karen and Daley are always so accommodating to my event needs and put a lot of effort into each event I host monthly which really shows!
All my mums love the venue and always comment on the food that is great each time! Really well organised staff, fab communication and great atmosphere too! I can’t wait for the next event in October.

Great Pub. Was our local pub, and even since moving we still come very regularly.
Great for friends, after work, and families.
Awesome for any sport but can be kept separate for diners.
The design inside is cool. Good vibe.
Always bring out-of-towners here, too.
Great in summer with their garden, but also great in colder months because they have heaters and blankets outside. The inside is very cozy and comfortable. Highly recommend.

A visit to the pub should always leave you feeling both happy and content. This is such a pub. The Rushmore on the corner of Ridgeway and Thornton Road in Wimbledon infuses that contentment.

Great atmosphere and service was excellent. Ordered the Sunday roast which was one of the best I have tasted in a long time. Food and drink were both served quickly. Will definitely come again. 5 stars for me !

Nice pub, good atmosphere, lovely garden & great friendly service. Given the interesting menu, it would be nice to see a bit more creativity towards vegetarian mains - the vegan burger description was as bland as the final uninspired presentation (not a patch on the hamburger pics we'd seen), even if my friend assured me it tasted ok.

I LOVE this pub. used to be my local before I moved but I still come all the time! It is my favourite pub in Wimbledon. I was sad when I learned they were renovating it, but the upgrade is AMAZING. The pub is SO cozy and trendy at the same time. I always bring my family here when they come from out of town. Great pub for large groups. Love coming here in the summer, but also really love coming in the winter because they have fab heaters outside with super fluffy blankets. and the inside feels all old-times and extra cozy. The mangers there are really nice and really care about the guests, which is always something you want in your local pub. I have had birthday parties here, Christmas dinners, Sunday roasts, and casual stop-in's. love it.

Really good little local pub. Good food and bar snacks. Decent roast, though not my favourite it beats out other more expensive options nearby. Nice outdoor seating area and friendly team.

Popped in for a quick beer on the way to the tennis, left about 12hours later. Great service, drinks and food. Lovely beer garden with the tennis on a big screen. Looking forward to a little visit during the next championship.

We have been to this pub many times and the food is always good so we decided to visit on Friday for their new steak night. We were hoping to have the Cote de Boeuf but they had sold out, so instead we had a T-bone and a Rump, which were served with beef dripping chips, salad and choice of sauces; peppercorn, bearnaise or chimichurri. The steaks were amazing; really tasty and tender and cooked just how we like them, medium rare and we both had pepper sauce. We washed them down with a great bottle of Beaujolais. As ever the service was great. I would highly recommend.

Had our wedding party at the Rushmere. Karen and Daley were awesome hosts and everything went off without a hitch, well, other than getting hitched 😜. Atmosphere in the Rushmere is great, the outside area is gorgeous with the lights on in the evenings and the heaters were good when it got a little chilly later on.
Paul Duffin
We were holding a celebration for around 30 guests and the support we received from the Rushmere and in particular Daley was excellent. He assisted with the planning and on the day was very responsive and also handled our special requests rapidly despite the Rushmere being very busy. We would strongly recommend.

Great, went in several times as we were playing chess nearby for a few days. Great service, nice food, huge portions. Nice beer garden and large outdoor screens for sport.

Average burgers but decent fries.
Roasts looked and smelled good so will come back to try that.
Nice pub away from the bustle of the village.

Good independent craft beer selection, including two hazy ipas. Will definitely be back as not many places in Wimbledon who deviate from the brewery staples like the newly refurbished Rushmere does here.

Booked on line for Sunday lunch on a arrival I was told they had no booking for me I asked them to check the on line system they said they had no access I ask to see a manager they told me it was his day off they used two round tables together for us we placed our order and was told there would be a forty five minute wait that they only had two people in the kitchen and two front of house people to run the bar and wait on the tables the meal took a hour to arrive the next table had to wait one and half hours for there food the waiter apologised to me and decuted one main course in I don't understand how a pub with on line bookings the staff have no access and no manager on Sunday lunch time never again I felt very sorry for the staff poor show for such a nice pub needs to be managed

The Swan is a pub we used to visit often. So many happy memories here. But that was all about fifteen years ago. Next door used to be the King of Denmark where snooker player Jimmy White used to go. But that's long gone!
The pub and its environs have been subject to a brewery refurb. There's a new manager. And as pubs go its not bad for merely sitting in. But the problem start if you want anything to eatl!!. This must rank as the worst place ever! It takes forever to arrive. And when it does come it's not worth eating! There is absolutely nothing I can say to recommend it! But it was Father's Day! We enjoyed just our own company - and the drinks. So the food was merely bunce. Maybe next time we should take our own sandwiches?

I used to drink in the swan many years ago, 1st time back yesterday and was very impressed, food was amazing and the comfort of the place was great. Definitely recommend x

1st visit yesterday. We drive past it many times and it is always busy but not yesterday. Great outside seating area but it's a shame people are allowed to smoke near where people are eating. Good pub grub. Lovely inside
Janet Sherman-Clark
We stopped there for a bite to eat before going to the theatre. Food - mediocre, atmosphere consistent with a sports bar. Wouldn't recommend it.
Maureen Dearan
My son and I had a fabulous roast beef lunch.
Very friendly staff and helpful. Throughly enjoyed our time there and will go back.

Great pub-grub, excellent drinks (shite result on the Eng-Cro game, though...😱)

Great Fish and Chips. Bargain deal for £11 with casket ale.

Looks great inside and outside , nice and clean. First time visit for me. I didn't have food but they looked really good as they were serving them to others. Service ok ( not too friendly but ok), no paper in ladies toilet.

I was impressed with the refurbishment. I enjoyed my chicken starter, and apple pie / cheesecake pudding. Not enough choice for vegetarians though. My friend had a choice of spicy, or really spicy. Please add some more dishes.

Nice Drinks and very accomodating with those three Germans wanting to watch the Darts on a football night!
Paul Bryant
went to watch the footy. and within 1 hour ran out of 6 different beers on a quiet Sunday afternoon forcing us to leave and go elsewhere.
Linda Timbers
Lovely friendly pub had little get together after a Christening, good Sunday roast too thank you
Catherine Rose
Amazing lamb shank pie! My partners beef roast was 'OK' nice wine, beer, atmosphere and service.
Tracey Shephard
Have visited a few times and food has been hit and miss in the past (agree with older comment about worst Sunday lunch). However, recent refurb, relaxed attitude to our four legged friends, friendly staff and a couple of Sunday visits - very impressed and highly recommended !
Nina Ananiasvili
Nice burgers. Service is not good but it didn't ruin the experience.
Tracy Geddes
Nice relaxed atmosphere, had a really nice sunday roast & a really yummy oreo cheesecake! Would definitly go again

So The Wife and I find ourselves in lovely London this week! We met some old friends and went to watch the Wimbledon Men's Final in Wimbledon!
The pub we went to was The Swan. It is a typical English Pub with a good selection of beers, ales and lagers on tap, and in bottle. I stuck to the cask ales that we just don't get in Canada. Greene King's IPA was my first round, a lightly hopped gem; next was Doom Bar, a Cornish Ale with lovely creamy textures and light hoppiness also; my last brew (because they ran out of GK IPA) was the Cumberland, it was probably my favourite of the session. Ever so slightly sweet, with hoppiness that lasts.
The Wife was drinking a cider from New Zealand called Old Mout Cider, a kiwi and lime concoction that was really good, and was going down very smoothly. Apply sweetness, with the sharpness of kiwi and lime, very good!
We ordered a few apps while we watched the match (o ya, there was a tennis match going on!!). Cod Goujons, Pulled Pork balls and two orders of nachos. The food was good, the pulled pork balls were crunchy and sweet and the sauce was good. The cod was delicious and crispy on the outside, but steamy and lovely inside. Ah wonders of deep frying!
My North American bias is showing now: The nachos were average. They were fried, which I wasn't expecting, they were topped with cheese, and the condiments were good, but they just aren't the same as in Canada or the US.
Nonetheless, a great pub, with a great atmosphere and many different drinks to sate your thirst!

Also been many years since my last visit. Best pub for the whole trip. Nice vibe. Food was well above pubgrub I had the chicken pie which was very savoury and tasty
I've spent many summer afternoons enjoying the outdoor seating area and drinking pints of lager in this pub. It's out of the way of Wimbledon village so not over crowded and there's always a table free. The food is pretty average and not good in terms of quality for price. The pints are expensive too but that goes with the area. Otherwise, this pub tries to do too many things at once. It goes for the sport pub, poker pub, beer garden, eatery, place to have locals but also mixes in streams of youngsters from nearby colleges. However it doesn't do any of these well.

Drop by if you're in the area and all the other places are shut.
