It's the Bangladeshi version of Indian food. Food is halal. The flavour differences are very subtle, they all pretty much look and taste the same but delicious. I forgot to take a photo of the menu and their signature dish but the same. The main difference is if the dish had rice or not, you'll just have to ask. Majority of the clientele are South Asians so it must be good. Atmosphere is more cultural than ambient.

We ordered the kacchi biryani. Nice portion of meat and had a good smell, although I felt the quantity of rice was a bit less. The taste was fantastic

If you are creaving for Bangladeshi food in reasonable price then this is the best place to go.
Must try kachichi biriyani and chicken roast. We will get fish also. But service is slow.

Nice and cozy place for Bengalis to have deshi food. I tried Biriyani here, it was okay. They give you a lot of pieces of meat and you get two potatoes. Overall it was a nice experience for me

Tried this place for the first time after being recommended by a work colleague. Fact that I’ve past this place so many times and never dared to go in as it doesn’t look so appealing from the outside. The place is decent better than what I expected, seating and table were clean. I ordered Shaahi Murug Pulau which is a biryani with quarter chicken and boiled egg buried in it, it’s a traditional Bangladeshi Biryani, it comes with side curry sauce and salad, it was delicious and more than I expected. The pricing was reasonable and staffs were friendly. I would definitely recommend and would return again to try a different Biryani

If you want authentic Bangladeshi dishes then this is the place to go. The place isn’t pretty looking but the food and service is amazing. They should make the place look rustic (like it’s in Bangladesh) I won’t go there for a romantic dinner!!! Not that kind of place folks but it’s a place for good food. Potion are very generous.
Salad was in the down side, it needs to be like deshi salad and lemon should be Bangladeshi lemon not yellow lemon.

I Went there 3-4 times after coming into UK. The food is delicious and authentic bengali food. Not very large space but good and comfortable. They have so many dishes to try out, I'm gonna upload their menu so you guys can have a look on that.

It’s not Bengali food, it’s Bangladeshi food just so you know- I tried the kachchi biryani which is a baby lamb biryani that is one of their top sellers and was flavourful indeed. However, the Shammi kebabs were really dry and there was no dip served with it whatsoever. The prices are great, which makes this place a good pit stop.

2021- Best Biryani in the area. Love the service, the hospitality, and the true feeling of being in Bangladesh. Thank you. Highly recommended.
2022 - we've since gone back many times and always loved it. Good and fast service and a little spot of Bangladesh still alive in London. 🇧🇩❤
2023 - still the best Biryani in town!

Real Bengali biriyani. All types from meat to veg options available as well as other dishes. If you are looking for Bangla food, this is a good option

★ Mutton khichuri was awesome, must try item, lots of meats over there , 1 plate is enough for 2 person.
★ Chicken biriyani : It was so so, chicken was so dry and taste was far far different from Dhaka original nanna.
★ Borhani : worst ever...
However, Good environment, they provide salad, their behaviour was also good.. Last but not the least, washroom was neat and clean..

I came here before. This time i ordered 'shahi morog polao' and it was really tasty. Although the rice was a little grainy. They provide a gravy with i guess every biriyani. Which gives you a nice kick of flavour. Moreover, i ordered one portion of shami kebab. Which i think it tasted perfect. However, iam not sure about the pricing. If it's worth it or not. Because i have seen cheaper prices in other restaurants, but haven’t tasted those.

Such a poor service, went there around 4 o clock, sat down atleast 25 minutes to order my food, food came after 20 minutes, asked for a salad atleast 3 times then it arrives. Such a poor customer service I've ever had to be honest. Definitely they need to concern of their customer service.

Service was very bad, we order two biryanis and two coke. Food served no drink or water. we had to ask for it. Then bill given includes drinks. We complain but not bother to say sorry about the service. Never recommends any one .

My wife and I went to get take away... Staff were warm, helpful and friendly. They even took my dissatisfaction regarding their other branch into account. Food was OK... Missed the usual sweet and sour flavour which makes the spice of Kacchi Biriyani sharper and brighter. Location is perfect.

This resteraunt has exceptional food, however the wait was pretty long which is a downside to such a good restaurant.

I used to go "KOLAPATA" last week one of my friend push me to go "NANNA BIRIANI"<br/>I been there last Wednesday, 2 waiter working in the field and one guy sitting on the table and drinking tea, most probably he is the owner or partner of this restaurant,my girl friend wanted to place order and she call "BHAISAB" can i place order" sylhety people must know the meaning of "BHAISAB". The man who was drinking tea he just getting angry and said there is no "BHAISAB" call "BHAI" !!! He was so rude with us, i was very disappointed. I am from sylhet and i felt insulted. Whitechapel is a sylhety area i strongly recommend to sylhety people not to go to "NANNA BIRIANI" they are RESIST .and they has one star in food hygienic which is so bad. "KOLAPATA" serve 100 times good food then nanna biriani and kopalata has 4 star in food hygienic. And their service is 1000% better then "NANNA BIRIANI"

Although the selection of dishes are quite good and there's a lot of variety the actual dishes are so so oily. They do taste pretty good (the special biriyani selection) but are jam packed with so much oil that its a proven recipe for disaster. Its a shame really as otherwise it will prove to be a unique dining experience.
