The food was acceptable however was excepting a bit more flavorful. Where they lacked here was definitely made up by their very unique service. I have never been to an Indian restaurant that upon leaving they open the door. When you’re done with your dinner they remove the first table cloth providing a clean table top. The wait staff was on top of everything. So even though the food was fine the service experience was excellent.

Very tasty/delicious (and probably genuine, I am not expert :-)) indian food, very friendly stuff (special thanks to Ahmed for guidance and assistance!), price level reasonable and not overpriced.
Highly recommended whose interested in indian cuisine!

Hi. I have eaten here numerous times, albeit mainly later in the evening when it is not so crowded. Staff very nice. I find the food to be solidly good and consistent. I like the fact that this place is a "hole in the wall" rather than overly fancy (isn't that what all good Indian restaurants should be like). I find its price point for central London (W1/Mayfair) to be reasonable: I can eat and drink myself to the point of being stuffed for 35 pounds. To readers coming from the outerboroughs or US suburbia : Don't forget, London is one of the most expensive cities in the world -- Don't visit if you can't afford it! Overall, this is a good spot. Nothing fancy but it does the trick!

The food was superb. The service was kind and helpful. The restaurant is ½ block from the Piccadilly Theatre (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time). They are open until 11pm. We had an excellent meal after the play. I would go back. It was not expensive. We just ordered a lot!

What a lovely meal and overall fantastic place! I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb chops and the chef's special. The customer service was great and the prices were good. I'll be back with my family for a huge dinner soon. I highly l recommend this restaurant if your around the vibrant Picadilly area.

The indian restaurant, tempted by range of authentic & imaginative fusion
dishes.
They are specialist in tandoori dishes. The food cooked is with the good quality & aroma of fresh ingredients. Really ignites the taste buds. The portions are small but tasty.

We stopped for a meal before going to see a show. We told the staff that we had a bit of time pressure and the service was very prompt and efficient.
I ordered a mild dish, they told me it was very mild; it turned out to be milder than I liked. I would have preferred something a bit spicier but it would be wrong to complain about that after he told me it was mild.

Excellent!!!

We wanted some good Indian food before we left London and this restaurant delivered! I had the lamb vindaloo and my wife had the Chana Masala. The vindaloo was perfectly spiced and the lamb was very tender for a typical curry dish. My wife has been very critical of some of my Indian restaurant choices in the past but she loved her Chana Masala and the experience as a whole. The service was also very good and the wine selection as well. Highly recommended!

First visit, warm welcome, cosy atmosphere, rapid service, friendly staff, convenient location, and most of all - delicious food! Small mistake made with coffee and liqueur drinks at end was put right super quickly with full apologies. Top experience worthy of five stars!

Exceptional food and outstanding service from staff who could not do enough to make the evening enjoyable. Having been to the restaurant about 5 times now, the food and service has always been consistent. Probably reflects why the restaurant is always full. Highly recommended.

Not bad but the food itself seemed a little flavourless compared to some Indian restaurants in London. Disabled toilets not really available as down in the basement with lots of stairs. Staff friendly enough but little things like leaving the door open at the end of the night made it to cold and draughty. Small tweaks particularly with the food would help.

2nd visit for myself and my wife, both times before a West End show, both times excellent.
Friendly, swift service. Food super tasty and satisfying and remembered from our previous visit with a free beer from the manager.
Looking forward to next time.

A fake Indian restaurant that serves basis a prejudice on this day & age! It's a racist restaurant that hates to serve people with a brown tone. Run by an old, grumpy, short statured man from Bangladesh (who claims to be living in the UK, unfortunately for the last 25 years) hates the Indian race; but ironcally makes his bread & butter from the Indian cuisine. Has no idea whatsoever of how to extend a courtsey to the customer in a hospitality industry; as probably would have never undergone a professional training. But very well knows, how to be in the race to earn big & easy money by opening an Indian restaurant in the Soho district of London. An absoluletly pathetic & a disgusting person to be served by & to eat at, provided if he allows you in.....rest are details!

Don t go there! If will become busy, they will ask you to go away! Shit customer care! They suck

Okay food. Not the greatest service. The waiters seemed to be cranky for no good reasons.
Ambience was nice.
Reasonable price, but
May not go again

Racist asian staff pretend as if they are real english , behaves very badly , bul shit service , dont even try to get in there .. Bullshit indian fake accent Asian resturant
Anshul Tuteja
'Racist' would the word to describe their service attitude at this day & age; moreover in the UK. So if you are a non-white & especially an Indian, stay away from this restaurant as the restaurant feels insluted to serve people with a dark skin. Irony of the situation is that the staff iteslf (especially one of the old grumpy short statured man from Bangladesh, sadly living in UK for the past 25 yrs & doesn't deserve to); hails from the land of brown tone. I got to experience the most horrendous customer service experience of my life & that too unfortunately in London, which has the largest Indian community living outside India. I am an Indian and have travelled to 41 countries & more than plus 100 cities spanning the 4 corners of the globe; lived & made good for myself in 4 continents and now residing in Scandinavia. Never ever before so far, I got to hear and/or experience a prejudice against any community until I came across this man from Bangladesh serving in the Chilli Shaker, Soho, London (just in the by-lane behind the Piccadilly circus). In brief what happened: I entered the said restauarnt along with my wife and as usual stood at the enterance to be seated. This old grumpy staff memeber, pointed the finger from one far corner of the restaurant to be seated on the table just besides the enterance; not once but twice. Upon approaching close to us, I politely reminded him of some basics rules on how to extend a customer courtsey, on which his response was that I know Indians and how they are; so I refuse to serve you, get out!! Stunned by his repsonse, when I reciprocated to challenge, his pointed finger got stuck at my face with a stammering broken english at the top of his voice, regardless of the fact that he still has 3 white couples/families sitting in the restaurant. The generalization of a community & moreover of the one on which the said restaurant is making their bread & butter is the worst ever example witnessed by both me & my wife from many aspects. My friendly advise would be stay away from this restaurant so that he gets a lesson that isolation of a community; means isolation of you from rest of the community. I intend to make a formal complaint to the Mayor of London so that the city doesn't get a bad name because of such people in our today's society. I also intend to publish the same on every possible feedback forum, so please bear with me.

Place is pretty good

It was a Friday evening and Piccadilly Circus area was bustling with activities. We were at Piccadilly Circus searching for this place as it was shown as a nearest Indian Restaurant by Google Map! At last we found this not so big Indian Restaurant which was pretty much occupied.
We ordered Chicken Bhuna, Chapatis and Rice. Chapatis were good but Chicken Bhuna was not up to the mark. Vegetarian members in our group tried Chana Masala, Alu Gobi, Dal Makani and Raita. These vegetarian dishes were surprisingly better in taste as compared to few other Indian Restaurants which we tried in City of Bath and Oxford.

Located near Picadilly Circus this is a Indian cuisine restaurant. I went there as the nearby restaurant Chowki had closed down (which was pretty good by the way). Not wanting to go any further I tried this. It was pretty empty on the Monday evening I went there. Ambience was not so great and looked more a Bangladeshi run place than an Indian one which meant lot of sweetness in the curries. I ordered dal makhni was not not good at all with the sweet flavour. Also I ordered veg mix platter starters which were ok but were dripping in oil and were most likely the frozen ones refried. Overall not a good experience - will not go again.
