This place is so darling and the perfect spot to stop for some tea, whether that be a quick cup or a cream tea, English tea, afternoon tea, etc. they have a pretty vast menu of all their teas as well as an assortment of specialty drinks, alcohol, snacks, treats. They have games, outdoor seating, events here.
My favorite thing is that they have little crochet snuggies on their tea pots so you can pour even when it’s hot 😭

The English breakfast was good and filling. If you want some good tea and a nice atmosphere- this is the one.
There weren't many cute cafes in Vauxhall, so if you want something nice here, I definitely recommend this place.

Excellent breakfast menu served all day till 6 PM. Traditional English breakfast two eggs, Benedict and omelettes. Lovely staff warm environment outdoor seating in the sun. The condiment bottles had dirty caps and nozzles. When I go back I can easily get this place at five if they clean up a bit.

Delightful. The Ulster Fry was brobdignagian in its proportions - I didn't need to eat for 48 hours afterwards - and it's always decadently civilised to share a bottle of Merlot with one's friends for breakfast. The staff are lovely and the ambience - it feels like a clubhouse for the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band - in a good way. I half expected to see Neil Innes at the next table.

PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL AND INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES.
A wonderfully quirky tea house (no coffee strictly tea) that has a vast well curated tea menu, great food and amazing hand made cakes.
I highly recommend the carrot and walnut cake although please save some for me.
Keep up the greatness Grace, Harry and the team.

a wonderful tea house
they have a great selection of tea blends. the tea house hosts various activities such as theater, debate, poetry, discussions, etc. every evening there is something different.
furthermore, the tea house provides a variety of board games which visitors can play.
The staff is wonderful and very friendly. we made this our regular go-to place in the evenings when we stayed in the area.
very recommended

For this old Victoria house . The place is unique, and in a location which you wouldn’t expect.
The staff are brilliant and offers a wide range of different teas. It reminds me of the olden days when I grew up. You have to go and visit because it’s so different. We had a cream tea which was very nice everything was home-made. Very surprised about the location. Worth a visit.

The best breakfast and tea płace in London! I have never drank such a good tea or eaten so delicious cakes. RECOMMENDED!!!

I loved it in there! The staff were incredibly friendly, the food and tea was very nice. Cute cat. Grandfather clock. Two children coming in to play a game of chess. Staff discussing tea cosies with American customers. It felt welcoming and calming. They were respectful of one’s privacy. I could have stayed in there forever. Reminded me of Nirvana by Charles Bukowski :)

In Vauxhal Gardens; surrounded by local flats, plenty of grass, a farm with Lama's, horse's and animals. Basically inside the park next to Vauxhall Station in Central London between the children's play ground and Adidas basketball slash football cage is: a super cool tea house. Great British afternoon tea with teas all over the world, if you do not know what afternoon tea is then google it, with many cakes to choose from - see peoples pictures and eat with your eyes. Eat inside or outside. It is a super cool place because this venue is also a theatre and also hosts many events, one is an acting night, one is a debate night, jazz night, singing night, kids music session and more. The super coolest is; the staff are so friendly; you can borrow table tennis equipment. They have a fantastic menue for adults and children. Everyone is happy here. Its a gem to London. Did I mention beers?wines? Yes! They also have it. A brilliant place I would definitely recommend.

Super quirky hidden gem in Vauxhall, had warmed fruit scones with jam and clotted cream with Darjeeling first flush.
Fed 3 people easily, with a few tatsy little treats such as peacan pie and a marshmallow tea cake.
This is a secret, I hope the tourists never find 🤣
(Also it's cream then jam on first)

Wonderful accidental discovery in a little cluster of restaurants. Warm, friendly atmosphere and lovely tea and cakes. Can’t wait to return for more.

I fell in love with the interior of this place. They have a very wide selection of teas. I ended up trying the “Tie Guan Yin Oolong Top Fancy” and had the Coronation Chicken to eat. I liked the fact that a brief story is given about each item in the menu. I can’t say that I really liked the tea but I was glad I tried it so I guess I am not a fan of the Oolong tea. For the food, I really liked the Coronation Chicken. Will go back again to try other kinds of teas. Good portions for good prices.
Secret Temple
The cakes are scattered around the room, kept safely under their little glass dome, much alike the rose in Beauty & the Beast (I can’t help it that is what those things make me think about all the time). Much akin to the random spread of cakes, the furniture itself is an ode to the Brownian motion – which is really what the theatre is behind the curtains.

I went to the tea house years ago when it opened and it was a really lovely place.I came back few times same year.I visited it recently again after a long break and what a difference was made!the 'management'/senior staff are truly ridiculous and miss the point about customer service.to be telling off and being really rude to other member of staff at the restaurant floor is really unacceptable.the interiors is cluttered unfortunately not with antiques or quirky objects but with random baby buggies, kids bicycles, random postcards stands that are out of place and coat stands that look like they belong in a charity shop back room yet here this is what welcomes guests.i was so sad to see how this place was just neglected and confused as to what it was supposed to be in the end.it seriously looks like people living upstairs just decided to use some of the space as their storage.SAD, SAD and confused place with little identity and very tired.
Pasta Bites
We visit every so often as they are dog friendly and open on Sundays. Unfortunately today was disappointing. Eggs Royal were ok but the hollandaise, home made at least, was split. My chai was not served the proper way (this is a tea house!) with cold milk and brewed like a regular tea in a pot! My husband doesn't drink tea, asked for a lemonade as per menu, and got a grunt which meant they had run out. Asked for mineral water as per menu, guess the answer. Finally got a packed poured apple juice. Slow and unfriendly service. Not sure we would return.

We stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning by chance and couldn't be happier. Tea was great and our breakfast was delicious. My wife had a breakfast sandwich with sausage and I had the Eggs Benedict. To top it off we had a piece of carrot cake which was probably the best part of the meal!

Beautiful place, terrible service. We admired the lovely view for half hour waiting for our standard Sunday breakfast.

Lovely place with a great selection of teas and beautiful cakes but quite dosy staff when we went.

...chunky sandwiches with generous fillings, soft boiled eggs and soldiers with buttery, thick, farmhouse toast.

A quintessential British experience (well, I think...as I am American). This little known tea house is a real neighborhood gem.

Located just behind the Vauxhall garden's, this restaurant is a great place for friends and family to come together for a spot of tea and really appetizing food.

The restaurant decor is very low-key and whimsy. There are cakes and biscuits in glass boxes or jars all over the place, and the seating area is a hodgepodge of different types of chairs, tables and decor. The table settings themselves are mis-matched in a charming way. Frankly, this restaurant looks like a 'Do-It-Yourselfers' wet-dream pinterest board..but avoids the overly pretentious vibe typically associated with a hipster paradise.

And they avoid this by being a truly neighborhood place!

You can always find a gaggle of old ladies hanging out in the corner, drinking tea and discussing their grand children. Or a number of young parents with their (shockingly well-behaved) children...or a group of 20-somethings chowing down on the Tea Houses' amazing Kedgeree or other breakfast foods. My personal favorite is their cake-sampler, which gives you 5-6 slices of amazing cakes featured that day. If you are lucky, they will have their carrot cake, which is to die for.

In addition to amazing tea (HUGE selection of tea!!) and food, the Tea House Theatre does a ton of entertaining. They have loads of poetry nights, a film club, and loads of musicians and lots of holiday-themed events. It is really worth going to their website and seeing what is on for Christmas.

Beyond pre-scheduled entertainment, there is usually an old guy in one of the corners playing some sort of stringed instrument...he only knows like 2 songs but it is very charming.

My only negative about this place is....the slow staff. You can not go to this place if you are in a rush or want to abide by any sort of schedule. You will get served when they are good and ready, and it can take ages to get your meal.

Besides that, super place! A must-go!
