Food and cocktails were amazing. We left overfilled. Nice music made the atmosphere very enjoyable. The waiters were a bit slow and a bit confused about setting up my partner with a wheelchair

We ate here on a tuesday evening. Waited for a couple of minutes to be seated.
We ordered the sirloin steak, full rack ribs, mozza sticks? And a kids meal pasta.
The food tasted great especially the steak. It was soft and the garlic mash is so tasty. Best potato mash!
The ribs is cooked perfectly and very tasty as well.
Service was great despite I know they seem to be short in staff.
The one assisting us is Josiah. He was really pleasant and nice.
We also got a free kids meal coz we ate on 4th july as part of there promotion.
Will definitely go back.

Nice chain restaurant. We went at lunchtime on a Friday (18.08.23). Service a little slow, even in bringing the bill ! Minus points were minor.....menus were sticky on the cover with BBQ sauce, and even the replacement had BBQ sauce inside!
Front of house hadn't read my special request when booking in terms of table location, but once this was pointed out he graciously conceded.
Burgers were very tasty and well cooked. We had the Messy cheeseburgers. Waitress was friendly and clearly experienced. Good vibe at this eaterie. Definitely recommended!!

I took my brother and nephews here for dinner between Christmas and New year. There was a bit of a queue to get in and it seemed to take forever. We couldn't really tell why it was taking forever either as the restaurant was half empty and there seemed to be plenty of staff floating around. When we were finally seated we discovered that they were only using half the restaurant. Again it took quite a while for them to take our order. The waiter said it would be around a 25 minute wait for food so my brother took one of the boys to the Lego shop during the wait. The food actually came out before they were back and they were kind enough to pop theirs back under the heat lamp until they got back. And they kept their eye on us and bought the food out as soon as they spotted they were back.
So back to the food....we ordered:
1x hot dog which came with a side of chips and corn
1x pasta (which didn't come with anything so I got him some garlic bread to go with)
2x sesame chicken strips and we asked if we could upgrade our side to dirty fries and they said we could and it was well worth it!
The kids meals came with a fruity number, my brother had a can of monster (they didn't have any fizzy drinks working that day) and I had some yummmy cocktail. I forget what it was called but after a long day mooching around London it was beautiful, it was delicious. I was actually really impressed with the food. Everyone cleared their plates!
The staff were helpful once we were eventually seated and served. The toilets were a bit nasty and you had to walk through a bunch of staff sitting around eating burger king to get to the toilet which didn't look great considering the wait we had just experienced.
Total bill came to just over £70.

Made the girls at the entrance laugh by running in like I was magnetized by the place! Yeah, atmosphere is really cool, music is pretty good, the beer is cold, the food is hot and delicious - can't wait to tuck in. I'm here on my J's but this is probably the kind of place you go with a group of friends. I'd definitely recommend it and we'll definitely be visiting again in future.

We came here just expecting a basic meal but the staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the food was seriously amazing. I had a candle at our table, that I had purchased, and one of the staff actually offered to light it for me which was really sweet. So we had a nice candle lit meal and the waitress was brilliant and attentive, friendly and smiling, happy to assist. It was just brilliant.

I love the food at tgi’s. The staff are polite and the place is clean. Sadly on this occasion they give you an offer then don’t have the food you would like. Good atmosphere.

This is my favourite TGI Fridays. Made a lot of good memories here over the years. Most recently, I visited in December.
I'd built up a lot of stripes so was able to get a full surf and turf for free. It was also my partner's birthday so he got a free dessert. The food took a little while to come out, but I was really impressed by the waiter who was polite and attentive, and also remembered all our orders without writing anything down. He didn't even have to write down the code from the stripes or voucher used, he just remembered the numbers. What a memory!
As always, the food was great, drinks were great.

The food here you can never go wrong not ever the cocktails but sometimes you have to wait a while to get yourself a table. But the service has been amazing everytime I'v been here

Let me start off by saying that I love the TGI's concept, its just easy food and easy environment with a good atmosphere and I visit several TGI's over the UK as my work takes me often to different UK locations, and generally the experience is good

But the Stratford TGI's . . . . .
Food was really good on this last night out, but previous;y this has not been the case. But in previous times and this night, the service was just dismal, I mean my 5 year old is more polite and able to communicate better than several of the staff members.

Im not sure of this is part of TGI's philosophy but is it normal to feel like you have to beg to get a additional drink rather than being offered one? And when you do succeed in begging for a drink, it still takes 15 mins to come.

possibly the "section" the waiters are given are to large?

Barman when we arrived was . . . let's say not open to me telling him the Long Island Ice Tea want up to scratch

Also something else that annoys me but I have to be honest I've had this in several of the other TGI's, is there procedure of saying they don't have for a example a "birth" seat, but when you see a available one, you are told "sorry that section is closed"

Again the food was good, but TGI head office if you ever need to "mystery shop" one of your restaurants, its this one, you will see many of your staff, who just "don't get it" that it's not that cheap in your places and we desrve at least a average standard of service

Cheers
Dean

Got full rack of ribs in JD sauce, with fries and onion rings. They were very greasy. Ordered apple waffle for dessert which was awful. Could only eat half. My friend ordered the cheesecake and only managed two spoonfuls.

The service was OK. Had to wait a while to get a table which was understable given I went there on a Saturday evening.

Don't expect too much for this place. It's cheap and stodgy food.

Firstly, I just wanted to explain the title. It is obviously me saying that I was fond of the food, but it is also a nod to what I associate TGI Fridays with. The Covent Garden was always full of theatre with bartenders juggling glassware, bottles and ingredients. Flaring takes some training and it can either be excellent to look at or a tad embarrassing when a bottle ends being a pile of broken glass on the floor.

The Covent Garden was always full of theatre with bartenders juggling glassware, bottles and ingredients. Flaring takes some training and it can either be excellent to look at or a tad embarrassing when a bottle ends being a pile of broken glass on the floor.

TGI's in Westfield does not appear to be cut from the same cloth. There was not one bottle tossed in the air during our viist. That said, it could be because it was lunch time on a Sunday. With no flair show, what else was there? Well I'll tell you, some great tasting food and excellent service. The team are young, probably students, so you would think they do not have the finesse of a seasoned waiter/ess. Our waiter, Durell, put that thought to rest with charisma and slickness.

We were in a great mood with the lovely weather and he encouraged that to continue with friendly upbeat service. As if that was not enough, i cannot begin to describe how tasty the food was. I ordered the Jack Daniels crispy duck on a hot skillet with garlic mixed peppers and onions. This came with warm tortillas. OMG. The duck meat was well seasoned and succulent melt in the mouth goodness. It fell off the bone with ease. Eleanor had the Garlic chicken with cos lettuce in a Caesar dressing with croutons, heritage tomatoes and regato cheese. To get her carb fix, she had a side of loaded potato skins with cheese and bacon.

I have thought about that duck a lot and when I look the picture I took, my mouth literally waters. I count the days until I get back there and do this all over again. To be fair, I should try something new as I am sure everything on the menu is just as good, but that Duck tho. Wow. Oh and a big thank you to Durell for appreciating our dancing to the cool music they play.

New salad and sandwich lunch menu for £7.99 available on weekdays only. The lunch portions were very generous and looked very enticing, except for the chargrilled chicken breast (I knew I should have gone for the pulled pork! And I don't even usually have chicken breast).

notorious B.L.T sandwich – a thick cut of bacon as promised, albeit somewhat tasteless. The only taste was that it was a grilled meat.

meatball marinara sub – the meatballs were OK and the sauce did have a strong tomato taste. The cheese was cheesy as expected in the American way. The aioli was more like garlic tainted mayonnaise.

grilled chicken sandwich with apple slaw – I longed for my open sandwich chicken to taste better than it looked. My impression was so true; the chicken breast was very dry and bland. The apple slaw tasted somewhat floury. I took two mouthfuls and left the dish. The manager was taken aback that I left the dish untouched. He also didn't seem to know how to respond as he left with my lunch and did not return.

And on the kids menu, I ordered pork ribs with waffles £4.99 – it was unanimously agreed that it was the best dish! The ribs were tasty and the meat was tender with crunchy waffles. A small side of that baked beans was sort of comfort. If kids eat like this, I don't want to grow up!

Apart from the manager's brief appearance, the service was good and friendly. They were very attentive and I felt being taken care of.

T.G.I Friday's is on the top floor of Westfield Stratford City and did not have too much of the buzz from shoppers. It was spacious for buggies and room for young children to run around especially if you are sitting in the outside area of the restaurant. Jeremy made me felt like I was a teenager again as a hot date!

The lunch menu at T.G.I Friday's is simple, comfort and at £7.99, it was certainly very affordable. We had to have a sundae at the end to satisfy my sweet tooth ;).

My 19th birthday, not exactly a milestone birthday but it will be remembered by this milestone; of me visiting a TGI Fridays in England for the first time (I have experienced the true TGI Friday's in America). Lets start with the location; set in a prime location within Westfield, Stratford the restaurant has a nice American Diner theme running throughout and has a quirky feel about it, with a yellow cab located in the outside seating area.

Anyway, enough of the location and down to the juicy good bits (the food). American's are known for their large portions of food and this place doesn't let you down in that respect. You can't go to TGI's without getting a burger, so I did this without hesitation and got the Jack Daniel's burger. Now the only bad thing about the food was that I still had some on my plate by the end. A huge burger and a large side of chips was just too much for my non-American stomach. If your not a big burger fan then the next best thing has to be the ribs (another American favourite), if you take a look at the photo attached, I'm sure you'll agree with me. Although I didn't order this for my main, I made my girlfriend 'share' some with me.

If you are looking for a reasonably cheap, filling meal then this is the place you should visit this evening. However, do book in advance (especially over the weekend), having lived close to Westfield for over a year, this place becomes ram packed with foodies just like me and you.

One of my favourites places to have a quality "american" food experience. the overall "western" ambiance and decoration almost makes you forget that you are still on london.

Regarding the food, I definitely recommend the sweet potatoes fries, if i had to put a word on them: "Brilliant !". Moreover, the chicken and bacon burger was fried on point. I would also recommend trying some of their fresh and fruity cocktails.

Final verdict: good experience, you definitely get what you pay for.

Second time I've been to a TGI Friday, previously to a different location.

First of all, it was dark in there, not in a "oooh romantic" sort of way, it was uncomfortable and dark, and looked and felt quite sad.

Secondly out table was sticky and considering the restaurant wasn't full as we'd avoided "rush hour" i couldn't fathom the reason for leaving a table dirty and sticky..

Then proceeding into ordering, out drinks took ages to come, almost at the same time as out food which took equally as long.

Ive been to a TGI Friday before and found the meal quite nice, but on this particular occasion i found the food looked like it had been thrown onto my plate (with sauce dripping on all sides) it didn't look appetising at all, the taste was quite bland whilst the sauce overpowering.

The service was okay-ish, apart from the waiting time to get our food.

I may have caught them on a bad day but it really disappointed me and put me off TGI's for a while.

The TGI Friday's located in Westfields, Stratford left a horrible taste in my mouth on Sunday. Now I say this in reference to their customer service; how it was delivered and how we met it. It is unfortunate, because this is not the first time I've been to TGI's here and the service is usually tolerable. But I was appalled to what I was greeted with on Sunday.

I arrived with my sisters on a day out and as we got to the entrance, the guy standing there didn't even seem approachable. He didn't say a word; just stared for a good 5 seconds until I asked him if we could have a table for 3. Finally, as he stepped out of his trance, he directed us to a table and left immediately.

The area we were shown to was an unfortunate mess. There were left-over fries on the floor underneath our table, half a burger with the sauce smeared on the floor, and a small puddle of God knows what where my feet were supposed to touch while I seated. To make it worse, when I leant on the table with my hand to take a seat, the table was disgustingly sticky. Not to forget, the table was not laid, ready for the next set of people to eat.

I thought, maybe because it's busy, someone hasn't gotten round to cleaning and making this area ready. Nope. No one came. I had to call someone, someone who actually looked like one of their managers to clean up the mess, so my sisters and I could sit comfortably to eat. It was a quick sweep, in that, no effort was made and I still didn't feel comfortable.

We finally got to ordering, of which a waitress wrote down and 10-15 minutes later, our food came. Now, we all ordered something different and nothing rhymed, so how this waitress got my order wrong, I do not know. She then came over and said 'Sorry, YOU DIDN'T say you wanted this meal, but it's being sorted now' and walked away.
...I'm sorry, but I think I know what I said and my sisters also heard me loud and clear and it wasn't hard to miss. I thought it was pretty rude of her and bad customer service too. Instead of you to admit to your mistake and approach me with the words 'I must not have heard you right, I apologise, your food is on it's way', I was approached with 'lip'.

I finally get the correct plate in front of me, but our table was still not set. There were no serviettes, no cutlery; none at all, and no condiments. The presentation of the food alone appeared rushed and rationed with regards to the fries. I had to steal a serviette from the table behind me, because it was hard to get any of the waitresses or waiters attention and I shouldn't have to ask for things that should already be in front of me.

So we eventually grab someone's attention for these items and as my sister tries to squeeze ketchup on her fries, nothing comes out. Why? She unscrews the lid and it's a fresh bottle with the foil and all still intact. I don't know about you, but I've always been able to squeeze ketchup on my fries without having to dismantle the bottle first in a restaurant.

The table across us was also used as a bin for dirty dishes, cups and cutlery...I mean, I'm sure restaurants have a kitchen...and a dishwasher for these things. I'm just saying.

Yes it was clear. Nobody was getting a tip today.

Appalling.
