Stunning food beautifully presented in this local and long standing restaurant in Tooting. Rick's has been going strong for over 20 years with its fresh and seasonally changing menu.

We visited Rick's Dining Room on Saturday evening, and what a treat! There were 7 of us dining, so, between us, we had a good selection from the menu (and there was plenty of choice), and not one of us was disappointed. I would recommend booking as it is quite a small venue but, what it may lack in space, it definitely makes up for in its atmosphere. Rick is only too happy to chat to his customers when he can. It's easy to see why he was recently awarded Wandsworths Retailer & Hospitality Award. Keep doing what you're doing Rick! We'll be back! 🌟 And thank you.

I’ve read good things about this place for ages and I’m so glad I finally made the time to pay it a visit. This place serves up delicious food at reasonable prices. They have a great wine list and service is so efficient and friendly. The restaurant has such a homely feel to it with a nice buzzy atmosphere!

Can’t speak highly enough of this place. Sublime food (the Wednesday-Friday £12 for 3 courses is almost criminally good value). I’ve eaten here several times now and can’t find enough reasons to go back! Quincy, the waiter, always remembers us and greets us by name. Incredibly impressive. The food is simply perfect. Some of the best food I’ve eaten - thanks so much Rick!
GO GO GO!!!

Really LOVE this place!!!! Totally amazing!!!! Such a gem!!!! Chef owned (by Rick and his charming wife Sarah) so everything is fantastic!! They cater for vegetarians too!!! Everything was delicious- 5 star quality for sure. The ambience and decor is super relaxing. I love it!!! Going back again for the third time with a whole group of foodie pals. Yup I’m that confident!!!!! If you’re having a party they’ll even stay open late- none of that kicking you out lark- they’re so sweet!!!! You’ve really got to try it!!!!!

Outstanding food. The roasted monkfish, samphire & mash should be tried by pretty much anyone who has an interest in food & is great value at £22. Really friendly service too, from people who clearly enjoy what they're doing!

Such a gem in Tooting. The mid week £12 3 course meal is amazing... different menu every week. Amazing quality food.

I went to Rick's last night with my wife and some mates. I had heard good things about Rick's and we all loved it. I had the best octopus tentacle and brill that I have ever tried. Rick was kind enough to explain how he gets the octopus so tender and delicious. Bravo 👏

A fabulous and fun evening of exceptional food and the added bonus of wine pairing. Atmosphere and service outstanding. Would highly recommend visiting or better still attending one of their special wine pairing dinners
Excellent food. Had the lamb, which was very tender. Some good wine. Very good service, and nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Will go again.

Rip Off Ricks. Went to Ricks Place, for Fathers day, got throughly ripped off. Food o.k. but over priced this is Tooting after all and not the West End. Waiter was all smiles and could not help us enough. This turned out to be a facade as he turned into some kind of despot when i asked if i could cut a piece of homemade cake for my 65y.o father he told me only if i ordered their over priced desserts, not wishing to upset my father we did. After paying the massive bill he then told us that we could return if we did not bring our main course. I have news for you Mr.Smart arse i work for a local hospital in Tooting and have made sure these comments are passed on to my colleagues and by the way i will not be returning, i will have my cake and eat it.

Food was good value, although my Wife's pheasant dish was a little over cooked. I ordered the pork & pheasant terrine to start which was very nice & then the slow roasted shoulder of Lamb which I very much enjoyed. My wife had apple & plum crumble for pudding which she enjoyed very much. Will go again as better than some of the local pubs for Sunday lunch.

Loved it!!. This is the 4th time I have been and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the excellent wine list. I feel compelled to write this review as some of the comments have shocked me.
Once you get over the shock of the location you have to appreciate Rick's for what it is. Excellent food which is all cooked to perfection, a superb wine list, and which I thought was a great atmosphere. There is nothing around like it so give it a try. A big thumbs up from me and my fiancee,. :-)

Went to Ricks years ago and hadn't been back til now. That time the issue was asking what main courses came with and told need to order veg and spuds, which we did . Then meals came complete and we had paid for and wasted the side orders of greens and veg. Felt like we were being ripped off which is not what I expect from neighbourhood restaurant. Back for 2nd visit in 5 years for sat brunch. Poor food, veg breakfast was nearly same price as meat eaters, but they just left off the Saus and Bacon. Bacon and eggs should be hard to mess up. But aneamic toast and Bacon alongside overdone eggs. Bucks fuzz was flat. Table was sticky and covered in pollen from lillies. Over priced, disappointing. I won't be going back.

Don't go to Rick's Cafe. Just left Rick's and felt compelled to write a review for the first time. Food was ok, but over-priced. That wasn't the main issue, that came with the bill. They added on a bottle of wine to the bill (an honest mistake maybe) but having taken payment that's when the fun started. Didn't know how to refund on the card so said they would give us the cash back. They then gave us less than was due when they even had the amount they charged on the bill as well as the amount they should have charged underneath it. It's simple maths. Then proceeded to make a big issue out of it, making my finance feel very uncomfortable, the last straw being the guy bringing over a chair to try and explain again. Perhaps try a simple apology, learn maths and try and leave the CUSTOMER feeling happy!

Better go to Antelope for a better all round dining experience.

VERY BAD FOOD. I went to Rick's cafe in Tooting Broadway for brunch and it was a disappointment. I had chorizo scrambled eggs and it was awful. Overall,
- the food was bad
- very expensive for what we got
- it is located on a busy road (Mitcham road)
- bad service

All my 4 friends had the same opinion.

Pretty good - but not cheap. Rick's is a pretty decent eatery. I tried today the razor clams as a starter. They were well cooked and tender. I'm always a bit on the limit with seafood - adore some of it, not thrilled by some of the rest - and razor clams aren't ever going to make my list of favourites. Still, a decent experiement, and I have no problem with how they were cooked.
The lemon sole I had as a main course was excellent. Beautifully cooked and seasoned. Dessert was also very good - the pot o chocolat was nicely rich, with a firm texture and not overloaded with sugar as is so often the case in London.
Best thing about Rick's is the good quality wine list, and proper presentation of the wines.
Considering its location and restuarant setting, I find it a bit overpriced. Probably about 15-20% above the level I'd consider good value for money. For that sole reason, it won't be high on m list of places to return to. At the same time, if you want something other than Indian or Italian in this area, Rick's is the place to go.

It has a kind of nice rustic feeling but with some unfortunate mistakes like our small two people table that looks like it came from Ikea and our knives were from Ikea.

Visited for Sunday dinner and I have to say it wasn't great. The lamb was tough and there was no beg only parsnips. For £14.00 it was over priced and lacked taste.
