This place is right in the middle of New Cross and New Cross gate stations and has plenty of seating including indoors, outdoors and a cute extra building! They offer pizza which we didn’t try but loved the decor, the pride flag painting and the decent prices! A great place for a cute drink and catchup ✨

Lovely place for drinks great beer garden and awesome service...very chilled in the heart of the city. I was welcomed by Simon and my dog was no issue and even got a treat. The air con was great and plenty of shade outside of you needed it to. I will return to try more pizza.

Being one of our local pubs we thought to give it a go. Lovely interiors, open and bright vibe. The food was good no fuss and what you would expect from your local pub.
Revisted for Sunday lunch, same sort of food quality and great vibe. Very interesting and quirky interiors with something in for everyone. One of the great things is that the pub is dog friendly and has loads of activities going on throughout the week accompanied with special menu items. Definitely worth a visit if In the area.

If you're passing through SE London and want a drink or a bite then defo drop by here. Second visit in the past couple of months. Great staff and grab a booth if you can. If you can't don't worry. We shared the camembert with garlic sharing starter which was great. The veggie burger was good and the desserts (sticky toffee and a warm chocolate brownie) were solid. By solid I mean the in a good strong way and not consistency! Loved it.

We spent our Sunday in London at the New Cross House, and it was absolutely the best time we had in London. The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. The food was reasonably priced and delicious as well. I had the roast beef, and it was cooked perfectly. My friend had the fish and chips, and that was cooked to perfection! After our lunch, we spent the next few hours hanging out and drinking and the staff amazing! They were so nice and friendly! It was a wonderful experience!

Their sweet potato fries and chicken wings are amazing. It's a shame they never have sticky toffee pudding every time I've been there.

New Cross House is a pub and restaurant on New Cross, right next to Goldsmiths College, University of London. The place is usually packed with Goldsmiths students but also with people working and living in the area. The pizzas are excellent - especially the margarita and basil pizza - and there is a wide selection of burgers, rice dishes, bangers and mash, and assorted meals. The service is fantastic and there is always seating, even during hr busy evening periods, owing to the high turnover of diners. Great place to make great memories, especially if you’ve spent many evenings with classmates.

Absolutely Fantastic Pub. Super indoor/outdoor Ambience, friendly staff and delicious Food. The Pizzas are a speciality and the Music is better than the clubs. Very safe hangout with tight security.
(10% discount for students on Saturdays).
Recommended for Young and Old.
Loved every bit of it :)

The New cross house is incredibly pretty pub with excellent cuisine and incredibly affordable for students providing lunch time.
the interior is incredibly trendy and aesthetically pleasing with a trendy yet modern vibe .
Also having extra activities that take place within the pub such as a film night.
Personally very impressed with the atmosphere the staff were friendly and kind.
There is also a selection of plugs and USB sockets at some of the tables allowing for work to be done and phones to be charged

Great place for seeing live music on the southeast when Deptford meets New Cross.

The ambience and decor of this place is seriously amazing. I have not been in an establishment quite like this, comforting yet quirky, friendly and relaxed. The staff are second to none and seem to have the right balance of keeping in tune with the tables needs but equally allowing space to enjoy the evening.
Food was beautiful. I love the homemade pizzas.
The manager introduced herself as Carly and asked was everything OK with our stay. A very nice personal touch.
Will most definitely be back to try the variety of gins available 😊

What a lovely place. Spacious, good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is an outdoor area in the back. Also the food is affordable and above standard pub food. Due to the large room it can get quite noisy. Also there are regularly art exhibitions on the walls and I like that there are mostly students coming here, also a majority of the pub staff are students, which I find quite refreshing.

Lovely pub, really friendly team and gorgeous food, my little pooch got so excited when she saw another customers burger at the window, after eating half of mine she wanted more, Khaitee, Naomi and the team made our visit one to remember, and the christmas decorations are delightful.

I just ordered a 'Double Pepperoni'. It came with 10 slices of pepperoni equating to 1.1 pepperoni slices per slice of pizza. I wouldn't of cared if it was just labeled as 'Pepperoni', but it wasn't
We jokingly asked the serving staff if single pepperoni just came with 5 pepperoni. He went away and came back saying that the chef said 'yes'.
Guess we have different interpretations of double pepperoni.

The place is awesome, food amazing, had a good time, until one person that works there, Chloe to be specific, found out her name just to let you know. We were not drunk, no noise, nothing, a very cultural bunch, spent 200 pounds there, left good tips. But Chloe was so rude so disrespectful, someone needs to teach her how to behave if she doesn't like the job she should leave. Feel so embarased bcuz I invited and recommended the place to my friends, and in the end Chloe ruined our night.

Their were four of us three beef,me belly pork,my only complaint, the belly pork was a bit rough. Apart from that, the rest ace.

Had my first "over £5/pint" experience here, at £6.20. Did nice pizzas though!

Sunday Roast vibes- just not the best, the yorkshire pudding would have served better as a door stop- literally so solid (like the crew) but more solid. My partner had the belly pork- it tasted nice but there was defo no crackle in the crackling.

I used to be a regular at the new cross house so I decided to have my birthday party here. I booked the barn bit outside a week before the event, in person, for 15-20 people. On arrival on the night we were greeted by the extremely rude manager (a young lady) who told me there were no bookings as 'all bookings go through her'. I explained I booked in person exactly a week before and had at least 15 people coming. Clearly annoyed, she took us to the barn and asked a couple of people to move. I then asked to put the mini heaters on and she replied they didn't work (on booking I made sure they worked as it was end of october). I asked whether the was somewhere we could sit inside and her reply was 'we don't do tables for 15'. At that point I had had enough- she had now said multiple times the booking wasn't confirmed by her so there was no booking and that it was not her problem and did absolutely nothing to accommodate me. With a bit of commercial-mindedness and basic customer service skills, she should have leaped at the idea of having 20 people eating and drinking in her pub on an empty Sunday night. But no. We left and went up the road to the fat walrus- go here if looking for something in new cross that will treat you decently. So very disappointed by what used to be a great pub, ruined by new rude staff!!

Don't get me wrong....the venue is amazing but Chloe that works there is so rude, because of here I will not go there anymore. I felt disrespected by Chloe when she shouted at us to leave and she took our drinks that we paid for. Basically I felt kicked out((((

Dear New Cross House - you owe me a half-pint Aspalls cider or £2.20, you choose. Your member of bar staff would not take the 2 steps to hand me my drink, on calling her twice she ignored me and would not hand me the drink. She took a step to take my money though. I left the drink on the counter, went back to my seat, sat down, looked up, one minute later the drink had disappeared!!!!!!! You will collect glasses, tins and serve food, why not take 2 steps to hand me a drink, it is a bar after all. It's not McDonalds. As I say you owe me a half-pint Aspalls cider or 2.20, you choose.

Too salty ruined the meal. Got shortmeasured on my pint , ordered beef roast , the veg all ok , potatoes too salty but nothing compared to the beef which was far too salty and each mouthful like drinking sea water , so didnt eat it all . told waitress / barstaff who didnt comment even apologise , wont go there for food again

I recommend New Cross House...it is a lively place (a bit on the hipster/trendy side) with an amazing selection of bottled and draft beer. The menu looks good and the garden area is fantastic; it will be an excellent place for summer evenings. I can't wait for summer :)

I have tried my local The New Cross House previously for the wood oven pizza and also for a couple of the ciders and beers.

With a friend in town on a Sunday, we were both craving a good old English roast.

So we popped in to The New Cross House to try the roast. Options were beef, chicken, pork or veggie 'toad in the hole'. We both decided on the roast belly pork.

It was everything you come to expect from a good old roast; tasty and fulfilling.

The roast pork came with a generous serving of crackling which was perfectly crispy. Roast potatoes and veg were cooked just right. Yorkshire pudding was lovely with the added gravy poured over. The roast belly pork was absolutely amazing and accompanied with the apple sauce, melted in the mouth.

For dessert we shared a rolo and banana calzone with ice cream. It was not a great dessert, the filling was nice but the pastry was too thick. Would have been much better just having the filling on a pancake.

Overall, the roast was fantastic but dessert not so great. There is a nice local pub feeling on a Sunday and it was quite busy. Lots of small groups and couples.

Recommended for the roast and spending time with a good friend, partner or group of friends.

Informal casual dining if the kind up and down the East London line but which is missing down the road in Greenwich. Great burger and chips
