I highly recommend this restaurant! We were just here and we had the hot pot. Very tasty and you get a lot of food. Amongst a lot other you get really nice pieces of lamb leg and big shrimps which was great! They also regulary check on you to see if something needs to be refilled even though the portions was so ubundant. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat it all, even though we did our best because it was so good. It is a small family-owned restaurant with very nice people. If you've never tried hot pot or if you've eaten it somewhere else before, go here, you won't regret it!

Great value hot pot
If quantity and value is what you are after Laoma is ideal.
£25 per person is great value.
However if quality is what you are after happy lamb would be a better option but be prepared to pay twice that.

Hotpot is £22 (inc. service) all you can eat - includes lamb slices, offal (tongue, intestine), fish fillets, squid, mushrooms, shelled prawns, tofu, spam, fishballs. Oddly no vegetables or noodles.
Hot soup is very spicy, so would suggest getting a mix of soup.
Drinks included in the price are soft drink, tea and aloe vera.
Overall it's ok. The value is only really if you are going to eat A LOT.
(I would probably look at the a la carte next time instead).

Very good Chinese restaurant!! No need to go to Chinatown, this place is perfect: small, friendly staff, good ingredients and abundant portions at a reasonable London price 🤤 what else can you ask for?

The £8 rice-dishes was so worth it. Portion was very large and the dishes were delicious. Will be back!

One of the best authentic hot pots in London at very affordable prices and with the most helpful staff. It was also so much cleaner than other restaurants in Chinatown. They also serve tea for free! Such good value and would definitely come back

Went to have hotpot in this little restaurant. Was amazing an experience. Love this portion size tgey serves out. Is best to go with group. Minimum two person to share the hotpot/steamboat was the ideal joys of shared, eating, chat & socialising with friends. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Buffet hot pot is really well worth, the food was good and the variety is good also. The homemade satay is a must have.

Walked in off the street, intrigued by steamed up windows. Run by Asians cooking similar to what I've experienced in Singapore. You can boil your food on the table, hence the steamy window! We had the set meal for £6.95. Plenty there, loved the spare ribs but served warm, not hot enough. Tasty all the same. Service very good.

Laoma is a great place to have freshly made Chinese food for a very reasonable price in King's Cross. I and my friend visited here for the lunch yesterday and Laoma made us extremely happy with their delicious #rice & #chicken. We both ordered #roasted #chickenleg and #pork #curry. I ordered #steamed #rice on top of that as I am a huge rice lover. Glad I ordered rice as it matched really well with other two dishes. The portions were in good size and the taste too. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and comfortable. Not to forget we just paid £8 for all of em. I am recommending this place for anyone who is up for a mouthwatering Chinese break!.
