Nice fine dining restaurant close to new Bond Street, has a fancy ambience and the food is really good but given the location it’s on a big higher side given the portions. Loved their burrata salad, truffle fries and a cheese Arancini type thing they do. Service can be a bit slow in peak lunch hours as its very popular and gets a bit busy. Do look out for discounts and they usually have some offers running. Haven’t tried their deserts yet.

Exceptional dining in Mayfair - Maddox Tavern 🥂
.
Maddox Street built in 1892 was originally a high-end gentlemen’s tailor store.
Serving the great and good of Mayfair including Winston Churchill 🎩
.
Interior of the restaurant was stunning and live music added so much to the atmosphere 🎷
.
The service was super attentive, we got explained all the meals we tried and also have been shown the room that Churchill visited.
.
What we tried (starred ⭐️ dishes we recommend the most):
Jersey Oysters
Slow-cooked beef ragu ⭐️
London cure smoked salmon
Sirloin steak with fries⭐️
Haunch of Venison, savoy cabbage with bacon⭐️
Peanut butter Old Fashioned⭐️
Chocolate tart
.
Can’t fault a single thing, it was a truly special experience! 🥰

Lovely little spot for lunch. We had a birgin experience voucher and had a set lunch menu which included 2 courses and a cocktail. The lamb ragu and shoulder were so delicious. Staff were great, really friendly and service was spot on. The ambience and decor of the place was lovely- definitely would return.

Looks like a pub on the outside but beautiful interior of wood panelling, ceiling design and very nice seating colour combination.
Had the capacious of venison- good as was the scallops.
The rack of lamb was 4 pieces and was nice.
The turbot fillet could have been presented in a more pleasing aesthetically but taste good- kept warm for longer than it should. Chips was good, hispi cabbage was good but would have been better without the tomato on the top.
The chocolate desert was good - the base was oxidised as it was probably in the fridge.
Cocktail was ok. Massive beer portions.
Service was attentive.

Booked an early table, friendly welcome by staff. Our main waitress, Roberta, was excellent. As it was quiet she even gave us a tour of this listed building, including private rooms and some original features. Food and wine were both very good. So nice to not be rushed by the staff too. Restaurant was busier after 7pm so noisier, but still very pleasant to sit and finish our wine… Looks are deceiving from the outside, there’s plenty of room once inside.

We had a rough start to our dining at Maddox Tavern as we had booked through OpenTable where the kitchen times were incorrectly stated and so we arrived over an hour before the kitchen service started.
However we were about to leave when the front of house resolved the situation quickly and we were able to order our food. He was really professional about the situation and considering the restaurant has only been open a few weeks, teething problems are to be expected.
The service was brilliant with attentive but not overbearing waiters.
The setting was great, with lots of details on the walls and ceiling showing the buildings character and we enjoyed the music too.
The Foie Gras starter was delicious. Soft and buttery with a nice selection of bread.
My wife wasn't keen on the cucumber soup but after I finished it for her, I have to say I thought it was great! Obviously a subtle and fresh taste but with generous seasoning and garnish adding some interesting flavours.
We both had the fish pie for our main and both loved it. The mash on top was cooked to a perfect crispy texture and the inside was creamy and perfectly seasoned but not too much.
We finished with the chocolate tart which I enjoyed. Definitely not too sweet although I expected a little more of a rich dark chocolate taste.
The pricing was reasonable. We did have a discount however even at full price I'd feel it delivered good value for the level of dining.

I discovered this place by searching in google map , this place is a hidden jewel in that area , i loved the freshness and the taste of what I ordered, the service was excellent and i the amount i payed for such posh dishes was very reasonable comparing to other restaurants in that area , i will definitely go there again and recommend it to my friends.

Me and my parents stumbled upon this place as everywhere else was so full and it was an incredibly pleasant surprise! Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Food was very good! My parents absolute loved the sea bass and soup was amazing. Service was kind if not a bit slow. Chips were excellent too!

A fabulous find. From the wonderful Roberta to our lovely waiter, the service was faultless. Delicious food and reasonably priced wines. The Chicken Fricassé was fab as was the pollock with spiced lentils. We will definitely return. Thanks so much!

What an amazing find. Service was spot on. Felt there was no rush. The atmosphere with a person playing the piano and the decor felt like you where back in 1920s

A very nice facelift has been done to the old Browns. We only wanted a quick bite for lunch, and the waiter was accommodating as was kitchen. The wines were very good but if I am being very critical the IPA was too cold.

We came when it was very quiet and only had ourselves and another two tables. Staff really attentive and polite. Food was amazing and tasted so good! Would highly recommend the beef ragu as a starter was delicious!

Have eaten there and was very good but our most recent visit was for Champagne Hour (3.00pm - 6.00pm). Excellent value. Great service and chat from excellent barman Claudio.

Went on a Monday night. The place was almost empty, but beautifully appointed. Received an effusive welcome. Cocktails were free and delicious, and there was no annoying cover charge for bread, which was replenished without us having to ask.
Starters, main and pudding were delicious at an exceptionally reasonable price.
Excellent experience.

What a treat! Who says you can't judge a book by its cover? The elaborate tiled exterior beckoned me in. Was treated with such civility. Ordered a half dozen oysters & a glass of champagne. Some of the best I've ever tasted! I'll be BACK!
