Wonderful homey pub with excellent staff. The talented chefs make miracles in the tiny kitchen/closet. The Sunday roast was amazing. Lamb rump with roasted veg and a house made mint sauce that is simply perfect. The jamon iberico croquetas and the gazpacho (a new addition to the menu) were absolutely delicious, as well. A true hidden gem.

Just had lunch at the Andover Arms; what a truly special place this is! A great room with Luke and Suzanne’s warm friendly welcome, an excellent Guinness to savour the menu; six perfect oysters first, then a crab salad, nose to tail pork, avocado with asparagus and that monkfish with pancetta?! Wowwwww! And a Lavender Panacotta and the best Flat White ive had! Thank you both for a great meal and i look forward to trying the steak very soon!!

My husband and I had our last dinner in The UK at your amazing restaurant before jetting back to The USA. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, from start to finish. The service was attentive, friendly, and willing to answer all of our questions! If it wasn’t such a long walk, we’d go back tonight!

We had a fantastic Christmas lunch at the Andover Arms in 2022. The staff were warm and welcoming and the food was fantastic. Five courses, after a glass of champagne was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. We were never rushed, the courses came at perfect intervals and the atmosphere was intimate yet nicely lively. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon.

Impeccably maintained, clean. Warm, friendly welcome from every staff member as if I'd already visited in a past life...Cask ales well maintained, no wait at the bar. As far as food goes, I ate the oysters and octopus (fresh and well priced) then a hefty burger, not over-cooked as many are in these parts. Landlords even passed through while I sat near the bar and seemed to have an awesome village vibe going on with the locals. A welcome antidote to the managed houses I come across far too often. Keep up the example to others!

Had a fantastic Sunday afternoon in the newly reopened and refurbished pub. The team were very friendly and helpful, the roast beef was perfect and the chocolate fondant dessert was to die for. Highly recommend and we will be back very soon.

Great little local pub. Use to be my father's local. Great menu, brilliant atmosphere quite a few events over the year. Recommended.

Lovely pub tucked away from the main roads. Walked in, friendly atmosphere, quite busy. Found it via Google reviews as was looking for a good Sunday roast as my usual place was shut. Starter was fresh like the prawns were literally caught not so long ago. Main course was amazing and so was the desert. I should get out of my comfort zone a little bit more and try more new places to eat as this one was top marks! Loved that it also is an animal friendly pub, there was a dog with some other customers that was pretty chill.

Steak night was one to remember. Highly recommend. Delicious fillets, and the service from start to finish so friendly and accommodating. Fabulous!

We absolutely loved everything we ordered and wish we had room for more food. We can’t wait to return. Our daughter loved the pasta bolognaise! Thank you for a lovely Friday night! See you soon.

We enjoyed the lamb and pork belly dishes - both meals were cooked perfectly. Helpful and attentive staff, who knew the menu well and helped us with our food and drink choices. Nice setting with candles on the tables.

The Sunday roast here is a must. Huge portions (verging on too big) of chicken, pork, lamb or beef, served with massive yorkies and heaps of veg. Service is attentive and the food is delicious. They also offer gluten free gravy 👍.

So as an introduction to the London Sunday roast I feel as though the Andover has set a phenomenal standard to try and beat. We came here on local recommendations and not only is it a charming and friendly old style pub but the food was incredible - Both in size and quality. The lamb roast was enormous and the pork and beef were just a tad more manageable but equally tasty. The service was spot on and eating in front of the open fire just sealed the whole pub experience. Can't recommend highly enough and will definitely return.

We went to this place without a reservation and I guess we were lucky that we seated after a little wait. The manager was nice and friendly and so were the other staff members. The place was beautifully decorated and it had a lovely, cozy atmosphere. The house wine was great. I tried the traditional fish and chips and my boyfriend tried their Leg of Lamb and it was great. It was huge in size as well. The highlight of the dinner was the desserts, apple pie dessert and chocolate brownie was plentiful in size as well as being a delight to eat. Great food and great environment. We totally loved this place.

I went to this place with a friend. We were nicely welcomed by the staff. The menu was extensive and their service was great. We both ordered the pies and chicken. The shepherds pie was great and we also had fantastic gastro pub with best chicken and mushroom pie. Mushroom pie was the best I have ever eaten. I would really suggest this place.

I visited this place yesterday with my friend. We really liked the place for its décor and atmosphere. Staff was generous and polite. We had the roast chicken, roast beef and the fish and chips. All meals were excellent in taste and in portions. The desserts were amazing as well. We had the best time there. I would definitely visit this place on my next trip to London.

I was out with friends and we ended up at this rare gem. Eating well in a London pub is a difficult thing. Then one goes to Hammersmith, through the various streets of the neighborhood and finds this wonderful local. The pub there is little to say in itself the place is typical, cozy and warm, the food is traditional and very good and the service is great and courteous. I will be back for sure! Thank you

I was with my family, we saw the place and wanted to go on our stay in London and were the most welcoming and especially our visit experience in the city. We arrived for dinner and were not yet open kitchen, from that moment feel the hospitality of the place! We were greeted with much warmth; the staff is very attentive and felt like friends from the start! Tried very good peanuts and of course the amazing beer. They opened before the kitchen and prepared two dishes dream a foot sausage and meat and dessert a warm chocolate cake with ice cream, WOW!! This is a place you cannot stop going on your visit to London.

I went to Andover arms with my girlfriend last weekend for dinner. We visited this place for the first time and it was a great experience. The ambiance was so beautiful and the staff members were very helping. And if I had to pick a stand out dish it would be the Scallop and Squid starter. Main courses were extremely tasty and sizeable. We will definitely be visiting regularly.

The Andover Arms is a pub tucked away in a quiet side street in what an estate agent would call Brackenbury Village. The building dates back to at least 1850, and the interior is simply decorated, with bare wood floor and jazz quietly playing in the background.
The short wine list ranged in price from £18 to £70, with a median price of £27 and an average mark up of 2.5 times the retail price, which is distinctly fair by London standards. A few wines omitted the vintages, which was a little confusing. Example labels were Lanark Lane Sauvignon Blanc at £25 compared to a shop price of £14, Devil’s Corner Chardonnay 2010 at £34 for a wine that will set you back £14 retail, and Chatelain Pouilly Fume 2010 at £43 for a bottle that you can find for £15 in the high street. Alternatively you can drink Fullers beer.
- See more at: http://www.andyhayler.com/restaurant/andover-arms#sthash.N7QLtfop.dpuf

Stone bass fillet (£14.75) was topped with a crayfish tail pate and rested on a bed of butternut squash with Thai green curry sauce. The fish was carefully cooked, with crisp skin and pleasant flavour. I was always a bit wary of mixing hot and cold things on one plate, and so the crayfish pate seemed slightly superfluous to me. The Thai green curry was not spicy enough, so disappeared into the background rather than enlivening the fish (12/20).

Crème brulee had nice custard, with a crisp caramel top that could have been a touch more delicate. This was served with shortbread biscuits made from scratch that could have had more softer texture, but the overall dish was very pleasant (12/20). Coffee was pleasant, not too bitter.

The bill came to £37 a head with just water to drink. If you shared a modest bottle if wine then a typical all-in bill might come to around £50 or so. The manageress, Vicki, who has run restaurants in the past from Antigua to Greece, was particularly switched-on and welcoming, and greeted several regular customers by name. The Andover Arms is not serving ambitious food, but it cooks what it does well, and this combined with the charming service makes a pleasant change from the PR-hyped gastropubs that are all too common in London these days.

This is one of my top 2 pubs in London(I can't decide which comes first) unlike my other favourite this place is old school and that's what I love! Proper London ales, proper English food, proper hearty portions, proper locals propping up the bar and a proper landlady/manager with a personality as big as the lamb shoulder!(proper) All that aside the food here is fantastic, especially the Sticky Toffee Pudding!!

We had the fish and chips, and really can't get enough. It was wonderful. The service was slow, though. Don't know if that's me being American or if there wasn't enough staff. Friendly atmosphere, lot of locals.
