Just a stone throw away from Tate Modern, Capricci is a nice place to end a day exploring art to fine food.
Met G, who has kindy recommended his restaurant favourites, chicken liver for starters, and aubergine stuffed pasta for mains. I added tiramisu to the order and loved every dish that was painstakingly prepared.
Thanks for the warm hospitality, too. Great job, keep it up!

Super delicious. Amazing food!
I had the mussels and the tiramisu. Best Italian food I've ever had. I would have added pictures of the main dish and dessert but I got the eating so fast I forgot to take the photos š

A succinct menu but everything looks attractive and not something easily found in chain restaurantsā full of seasonal surprises.
The fregola was recommended by the Sardinian person taking my order, with Bottarga (cured roe) fished from near his hometown. Although it looks like some people dislike the smell, personally I didnāt find it fishy at all. The tomato broth was perfect, flavorful and not overpowering. There were quite plenty of clams. Also loved the texture of fregola.
The basaltic vinaigrette was slightly sweet and went well with the rocket and shaved Parmesan.
Really appreciate the all day menu :D (was enticed by the focaccia deal but I was planning for proper dinner, despite it being abnormally earlier).
Wish Iād been here sooner but itās always bustling at peak hours. Looking forward to coming back again and trying new things, even for takeaway.

Menu covers all bases, cheese, pasta and delicious meat and seafood dishes that are truly authentically Italian. Excellent wine list too. Prices match the experience.

Capricci was absolutely a delightful stop during our time in London. I canāt believe we simply stumbled upon such an authentic Italian experience. We left with full bellies and full smiles, plus recommendations for our next visit to Sicily, Italy later this year. Highly recommend!!!!

Really great Italian! Very small and authentic with such friendly and attentive service. Extensive wine list with good recommendations. My only suggestion would be to have a few more vegetarian options on the menu, but what we had (paccheri and gnocchi) was lovely.

So glad I have spot this place!
It is a lovely cosy place, just a few tables with an amazing service and menu.
Talking about food and dishes they are not the classic Italian dishes you can find in all the Italian restaurants in London, they do more elaborate plates that tastes amazing, honestly one of the best meal I had in the past few years.
They also have an amazing choice of wines. I have potentially found my favourite red wine ever.
I mean look at the picture of these amazing plates, arenāt they super yummy?!

Amazing small authentic Italian restaurant. The staff and service were fantastic, the wine menu extensive and the food delicious. It's not at all a pretentious restaurant and the prices are correct. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food at a little family run place that knows how to treat customers. Staff took care of my fussy eating young kids, and fed us terrific food

Great place, great team. We had to wait for our table which wasn't ready yet (we didn't care, it wasn't their fault) but they treated us so nicely to make up for it. And the food! Limited choice but whatever they offer, take it. Great wine list too. We had a lovely evening.

Went there for a team lunch the other week and it was amazing! Nice service, cute setting and delicious food. The wine looked great too, unfortunately couldn't have any since we were supposed to get back in the office, but will definitely try again weekend time! ļæ½ ļæ½ļæ½

Best wine bar I have ever been to in my life!

I went the afternoon it opened and purchased lasgna, cookies, and another sweet item I can't recall along with 2 cappuccinos. The owner was very nice and gave me a history on the family business and invited me to the opening that evening. We arrive and are told we need a ticket for entry at the door ( awkward ) we explained our verbal invitation by the owner and received a puzzled look and an " um ok you can go in ". Not the best start at the grand opening. We made our way around the establishment and took a look around. Impressed by the products they had. We went over to the bar to get a glass of wine that was being handed to the invites. When arriving at the bar a suprise to us when they said you have to pay. Not even in a warm manner. Really different vibe in comparison to how nicely the owner welcomed us earlier that day. So we purchased the 2 glasses of wine, no problem. We were each given an hors d'oeuvre to try and it was great. We tried to see where we can sample more but the same waitress kept passing us by and was catering to a clique of Italian men that seemed to know the owner well. I mean the idea if the opening is to introduce your products to the public just as equally as to your invited friends whom made the cafe look busy. We decided to stay and educate ourselves on their products by reading the items and taking amongst ourselves. 45 min later we purchased chocolates and cookies. The lady at the register seemed nice but doesn't seem to do well under pressure. I only purchased 3 items and it took 20 minutes to get that completed. The rating is 4 stars for the quality of products they feature and the cappuccinos are EXCELLENT. I went today to buy 3. In terms of customer service I rate 5 stars in our experience with the owner the afternoon of the opening and 1.5 stars to the grand opening experience. We live upstairs at NEOBANKSIDE so I will continue to go purchase my cappuccino and occasional sweet items for the convinience on how close it is.

I do love it when I can combine two of my greatest passions: food and art. There are a number of posts on this blog where Iāve gone to an art gallery and followed it up with a great meal. This eveningās venture along Londonās Southbank to Tate Modern didnāt offer a promising prospect for food. The once fabulous Tate Restaurant wasnāt quite so fabulous last time I went, and anyway isnāt open for dinner on Tuesdays. The surrounding area offers lots of chains. Iād planned to take a look around for somewhere to eat, arriving quite early for the Curatorās Talk on the new Modigliani exhibition at Tate Modern, but as I walked along the embankment from Waterloo to Tate Modern, the bitter wind cut into me and I knew I needed to find somewhere warm and welcoming, close to the gallery, fast.
